  1. Servers should limit the number of AT and AA soldiers and give them less ammo than the 10 or so each person can carry so that it is more realistic.
  2. Unfortunately helicopters treat water as quicksand rather than actual water. Imagine rescue divers trying to salvage or rescue the trapped crew!

    For the sake of not having planes and helicopters collide they both take off and land at runways depending on the situation.

    What I'm saying is realistically speaking you can"t place satellites in orbit, cannot setup a communications system or place down radar, lidar, or pulse doppler radar objects because of engine issues, they would take to long to create, or the devs aren't done making them so the devs simulate these systems which are vital commanding units on the battlefield and are used by the military of many countries. Real life choppers can lock on pretty fast to enemies but they normally like to receive confirmation to hit the target. When you say place enemies what kinds? No anti air units i presume? No commands for the AI? Only infantry? AI problems are an AI balance issue which is discussed in many other threads.

    The helicopter likely isn't the one producing the radar, Doppler or Lidar. It is receiving this from places like, vehicles with the proper equipment (like attack helicopters) , command tracking signals through advanced computer algorithms, advanced forms of Doppler radar that can detect vehicles and people, many kinds satellite data and other ways i missed. Vehicles are not alone on the battlefield with no communications, they can transmit and receive data to create a map from the various sources i listed above. If it bugs you that much, just make script or mod to change it.
  13. Why not allow the pilot to override the gunner in using weapons? I have had many incompetent gunners who would no fire on the target before it blows us out of the sky.
  14. Why use the f-35 when it will likely never see action? The program failed and as for the c-130j why not use the more modern version called the c-17?
  15. Getting an error for line 48. Something to do with generic expression and error animate: Type number, expected object. Other players can't see the textures either. Only the host can see the edited vehicle texutres and features currently and your original script in multiplayer spawned the edited vehicle and a normal vehicle which collided and blew both up, so this might affect the new edited script.

    The fact is normally no ground troops are sent in until air superiority has been achieved because attack aircraft are the top predator.

    Or an enemy squad has an AT or AA guy and they are infiltrating to capture objectives and change the lines of battle.
  18. I believe you get an indication of we're the missle is comming from in your heli via the top circle or somewhere else which then you can deploy flares.

    Doppler radar can detect vehicles and human targets. The helicopters could also utilize Lidar or a something in orbit to that gives real time data to ground forces. ---------- Post added at 14:24 ---------- Previous post was at 14:22 ---------- Do you work with your entire team? Like directing your attack chopper to take out theres? And receiving information on we're the enemy are? Did you ever fire your APC's counter measures? Why do you want the game changed for the single mission you like playing?

    I would say realistically as long as your arms can reach the body, you should be able to access it.

    Stratis-RP: Ultimate

    Is there any chance you could release the vehicle handling/breaking, radios, and police cars, police lights, police sirens as a standalone to enhance the driving of various missions as yours is currently the best?
  24. I am in Alberta and have freinds who play Arma 3 with me in the UK. I need a location that would allow the best ping for both of us.

So after seeing the flooding in my city right now, I was wondering how I could raise the ocean level for a recue type missions in stratis, we're people can dive through Agia marina and helicopter life people of the roofs of houses. I was also wondering if it were possible to slowly have the water rise for a survival type/ rescue before they drown mission. I would prefer to not have to have player download a client mod to allow them on the server. I know flooding is possible in arma games from these videos.
