    Why do I need such a large resolution? What is the satellite texture used for other than backdrop for creating the texture masks?
  3. Since addAction doesn't execute on a dedicated server, is there an alternative way to achieve the same effect? All I want to do is walk up to a laptop, activate it, and update a global variable.

  11. I've spent the day trying to get difficulty settings to work on my server, but to no avail. It used to work fine on Windows, but ever since I started hosting on Ubuntu it simply won't. I'm launching with this command: ./arma3server -config=server.cfg -world=empty -profile=difficulty -name=default "-mod=..." I have created the following file structure: arma3/difficulty/default/default.Arma3Profile The file refuses to load. If anyone has a working Ubuntu server, please share!

  13. Formatting the mod parameters as -mod=curator;-mod=kart;-mod=heli; etc don't seem to do it. That method won't load the mods on Ubuntu.

I want to host an Arma 3 server 24/7 and I'm wondering whether my server build will suffice: CPU: Intel Core i3 4160 3.6 GHz RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz MB: ASUS CS-B SSD: 250 GB It will run on my 100/100 network. Any comments? Also, I haven't decided on using a Windows or Linux server; any thoughts?

    I'm using revive in my scenario now, but the following doesn't seem to be working. I've put this into the description.ext. reviveDelay = 40; reviveForceRespawnDelay = 10; reviveBleedOutDelay = 180; It still runs the default settings when I'm starting the scenario in multiplayer. Have anyone been able to change the parameters successfully?

  20. I don't know if I'm blind or what, but I can't get my units to move after I've unloaded them from a vehicle. I've spawned a manned vehicle as well as thre separate soldiers (not grouped). I put the soldiers in the vehicle's cargo at init, and then a transport unload waypoint for the vehicle. The soldiers unload fine, but how do I make them advance from there?
  21. Thanks for the guide. It does work, just not for me. I found what's causing my problem, but I still need a solution. I've set my units to be careless, and that's what's causing them to stay in place after disembarking. Take a look at this setup I did: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wlk44lc41e3xldl/r0OK5Uu6QX Notice how the caring guy runs to his waypoint whilst the careless one stays put. Do anyone have a solution to this? I need them to ignore enemies!
  22. I've put so much effort into my scenario, and all I have to do before release is to get the thumbnail in place. I'm talking about the image seen on the screnario selection screen. I've been searching like mad. Do anyone knows how to set it up? I've only managed to get the loading image up correctly.
