  1. So, I'm trying to figure out how to add a self-interaction item on the ACE self interact menu. The interaction will make it so I increase my player rating, this way, if I shoot civilians or accidentally teamkill, my team members can get in the car with me. I figure there are better ways to accomplish this, but I also wanted to figure out how to add a self-interaction to the list in case I decide to use it again for other things.

     

    I read the ACE 3 Wiki but seem to have no success.

    This is what I have in a file called rehab.sqf;

    _action = ["Rehabilitate","Rehab Yourself","",{player addRating 2000;},{true}] call ace_interact_menu_fnc_createAction;
    [(player), 1, ["ACE_SelfActions"], _action] call ace_interact_menu_fnc_addActionToClass;
    

    In my init.sqf I have;

    execVM "rehab.sqf";

    I'm very new to scripting and would appreciate any help. I initially forgot to add a ; at the end of the first line and saw in my RPT file that not having the ; was an error, so, I know that my init.sqf calling the script is working, and as far as I can tell I am using the ACE functions properly. I just can't seem to somehow link it to myself in game so it will appear in the self-interaction menu.

     

    I'm very new to scripting and would appreciate any help. 


  2. Could anyone tell me how I could go about reloading the static weapons? More specifically the Russian ATGMs. I have a weapons platoon that will carry them, but there seems to be no ammo to resupply them. I even tried creating a new tube and attaching it to the tripod and it still said 0 for ammo.

     

    I assume I'll just need to have say 6 people carry 3x tubes and 3x tripods and I'll have 9 rounds?


  3. Recently I've had an issue unfortunately with MCC. When I enable it, I cannot interact using ACE 3. The interaction menu freezes and stays on my screen and displays bizarre behavior. I have looked into my RPT and figured this might be helpful.

    This was at the end of my RPT. So, I believe it coincides when I pressed my ACE key and it bugged out, then I closed my game. I can take a video if that would be helpful as well.


  4. A friend of mine is unable to join my server because an error is appearing, stating he "Cannot play due to missing downloadable content: A3_Structures_F_Exp_Infrastructure_Airports"

     

    What's odd about this is, this seems to be an ArmA 3 thing, considering it has no prefix for a mod and the server he is trying to join is utilizing mods on ArmA3Sync. I've double checked and he is running the same exact mods I am, and I can connect fine. He's tried reinstalling ArmA 3 and verifying his cache. 

     

    Has anyone else experienced this before? Any help would be appreciated. I have googled around and found nothing specific to this missing content.


  5. What I was saying is that even if Cunico shared his stuff with you, you would have to wait for him to finish his MBAV or something other than the 6094...

     

    You do realize tons of guys buy their own stuff right? In real life you can find Rangers with LBT, Tactical Tailor and Mayflower kit as their primary setup all in the same platoon or squad.

  6. For some reason, I find that at random or not at random times I will just stop transmitting. This usually occurs when I hold caps lock to talk then use left alt to look around or something of that nature. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, occasionally I hear a constant "click" noise when someone tries to speak on the radio. Finally, I have some people I play with whose FPS drops to an unplayable state when someone transmits on the radio. Any advice?

  8. here's an idea, don't use the ISIS units? You're not going to get arrested because packaged in a game file there's a texture with the isis flag, if that's the case you probably have the flag somewhere in your browser cache so you might have to Destroy your hard drive just to be sure

    I'm fairly certain any law regarding the ISIS flag refers to the fact that you can't publish a game with it, just like in Germany they can't have gore games. If by some insurmountable amount of idiocy Germany actually passed a law that made it so if you host a server with a third party mod containing an ISIS flag would be committing a crime, I think you have bigger decisions to make than trying to get the ISIS flag removed.

    To be a bit more on topic though, it's your mod, you obviously can absolutely can do whatever you wish, but to conform to a minorities request is not very wise in my opinion. Especially over something so insignificant.....a flag. Which I might note, adds some nice depth to the game.

    It's your mod, don't let plebs whine and complain at you to get you to do something you didn't wholeheartedly want to do in the first place.


  9. Glowbal, could you see about adding a parameter that modifies the bleedout time? This would be useful because I find many people bleedout too quickly, especially when they've passed out and can't patch themselves up, they're useless until someone else finds them, and during a firefight, that can at times be a while. Being able to make it so that you don't bleed out and die for say...3-5 minutes, or whatever parameter you gave, would be very useful. It would keep the great feel of the in-depth medical system, but someone wouldn't die immediately from bleeding out from a large wound, for example.


  10. Those are incredibly unrealistic. In the real life we just stuff them in any old assault pack or ruck sack, in whatever pocket it'll fit. I kept an ASIP radio in the side pocket of my MOLLE ruck for instance.

    Please don't spread disinformation. While you can and many do just stuff a 117g or something similar into a pack, there are many purpose built packs that are used and bought by guys with their own money. You can find pictures of the packs in the link below being used by a myriad of military units, as just 1 example.
