Mapping player movements and coordinates?

Like always, I was doing one of the showcase missions and ended it immediately, why? In the "Commanding Showcase" the littlebird flies you into an LZ like a player would, it was flying nice and low and landed like it would in a hot zone. So It came to mind that they must have mapped a player flying that helicopter and had the ai replicate it. So I opened the PBO file for the showcase and found "LittleBird.SQF", which was a script of strictly coordinates that had to be recorded by some kind of software in the game but I have never heard of that, Im still new to editing though. Any Idea on how to do this? http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx245/Reignbow6/Untitled.png (1243 kB) Right now the AI pilots dont fly well when under any kind of fire plus they land so slowly, Plus they crash into the terrain too often. This technique would make my missions a lot better and more realistic, Like simulating a crash or something. Thank You -
Make OPFOR Heli destroy Radar tower?

I'm currently working on a mission involving seizing air station mike then defending it from being destroyed, I made it so once blufor seizes the area, an enemy helicopter will be on its way to shoot missiles at the radar. I tried a few things, i tried a destroy waypoint, i tried putting a objects at the base of the tower that the helicopter can target but it wouldnt even shoot it at all. I also tried a few different scripts but then realized i was getting them from Arma Cold War Assault. This should be a feature in the game but i cant figure out the scipt, Any Ideas? -SideWinder -

Please be aware, with this new update (MCC 4) you save everything placed in 2d editor now too when saving SQM, so merging is no longer an option. This would be great EXCEPT it erased all my commands/scripts along with synchronized triggers. This totally destroyed my mission because I saved over my mission not knowing the bug. Hopefully we'll get an update that fixes this critical problem. -
I'm shocked on how many people here are so pessimistic and just mean. If I was a dev and fans acted like this I would hate my fans. It never crossed my mind that BI is all about the doesn't care. Your all demanding too much and expecting too much. Shotguns, Bipods, yeah it would be nice but not enough to not play the game, and If you have a job you probably won't mind spending a few dollars on a new DLC. I didn't buy the supporter edition and I would spend money on a new DLC any day.

Any Idea whats causing this? I've been trying to play ArmA with mods for quite a long time now and can't seem to get CBA to work. This is the outcome plus very low FPS. -
That is an issue with your sound device, your setting is at 5.1 or 7.1 surround while your headset or sound system only supports stereo. You need to go into your control panel find your default sound playback device and click "configure sound" and set it to stereo. ---------- Post added at 21:00 ---------- Previous post was at 20:54 ---------- 8/10, really enjoyed the campaign but it was too linear, I was really hoping for a mission like Razor Two.

Losing interest in the game - terrible performance with (mid) high end rig.

ArmA 3 is still the best game out there. I recommend an Intel I7 3000k/4000k series for better performance, lowering the view distance <3000 and putting some settings on standard/high, for a GPU NVIDIA works well with Intel, I recommend a 550 or higher. The game could use some more diverse vehicles and better multiplayer missions, the new ones are weak, but Gamers nowadays are just whiny bitches and complain about every single thing, and not just in ArmA, EVERY game out there. I'm gonna start blaming the user and hardware, not the game for poor performance. -
Are there going to be more guns in final release?

Intel Processors will give you a night and day difference compared to AMD. Don't say the game is terribly optimized with your 6 core processors while no game uses past 4 cores. There is a reason why Intel is more expensive. AMD only exists because you always need a cheaper alternative. -

Liberals are even destroying game industry... Whats next? Guns have to be a bright color and shoot water? Bohemia was smart to rename the weapons, real manufacturers don't like there gun being used in game. -

<unknown> animations not working in-game?

All of the animations in the <unknown> sections don't seem to work in-game for me, I've watched videos on Youtube and they somehow work for them. I can view them fine in the animation viewer. I've tried playmove and switchmove, and all other animations beside "Cutscenes" work fine. I have worked with animations in ArmA before but I can only guess BIS remove these animations for some reason? -
Prevent stupid mods like Explosive ammunition.

I was running a server the other day and some idiots brought AS50s with explosive ammunition, not only is it stupid because of the idea of explosive ammo being used by 2 people, I can't hear nor see it, It lagged up my server and caused a steep frame-rate drop. How can I not allow this? -

I'm working on a very detailed mission and I want to be able to do a few things that I notice BIS does in there own missions... Which script would I use to start a mission in a Helicopter with the bay doors open on the BLUFOR Transport "GhostHawk"? I want passengers to have a view of the ground but without using third person. How do I start a mission in a Helicopter with its collision lights off? (Stealth waypoints dont work) Sorry I added 2 more questions. How do I randomize patrols like in the ALPHA Multiplayer missions from BIS? I notice they have a few waypoints closely in front of each other and put large rings around them. I already know how to put people in helicopter, I want the doors to be open. The reason why i want the doors open is because I want the players to see outside the helicopter without using third person. The "Ghosthawk" has the ability to open and close the bay doors but only from the outside at the moment. I edited the post, sorry for the confusion. This is the left door open -
They better not have female soldiers... If they add it they are only pleasing the weirdo anime fans and the .01% of women who play ArmA. Meshing every piece of gear to fit women would take a stupid, useless amount of time. Women are not in the frontlines I wont feel right blasting a female soldier in the face. I don't want to play with trolls posing as females I will never play as a female and neither will the normal people who play the game.

-I would really like to see fully licensed items and especially guns (HK!!), the ops core fast helmets HL1 light says UNSURE while its obviously a knock off of Surefire, I really want to see ESS profile goggles as a face item and other ESS eyepro products. I own a pair of ESS Profile Turbofan goggles and they are the best ballistic goggles you can own. I do realize H&K usually has a problem with their logo in games but they should be honored to be in ArmA. -I would also be interested in seeing Trijicon reflex and ACOG sights, Aimpoint sights, Meprolight sights, EOTech magnifiers and possibly some fictional or prototype items. -I honestly think we should have a preferred loadout before missions start, in real life you obviously are gonna use what you depend on and whats comfortable to you. You should have to chose an Assault rifle that is in service for that side, like whichever MX rifle you prefer for BLUFOR, any attachments you prefer, helmet, uniform style, plate carrier, and sidearm. Though i think the server admin should make decisions on whats aloud in the settings. -Ops core chops would be interesting and fit in with the Greek Islands, but would probably be over-used by people. -Standalone 40mm launchers would be cool and a more convenient/cheaper rocket launcher like the AT4, but not for AT riflemen. The NLAW is a little overkill for hitting infantry and technicals. -Don't forget the AR-15 -No female soldiers ---------- Post added at 06:34 ---------- Previous post was at 06:33 ---------- everything in the game is in service or not adopted by any armed force yet but is most likely going to be in war in the near future. The only thing i have never heard of is the CMMG(AR-15 manufacturer) MX series, but the parts on it are non-fictional, its basically a Bushmaster ACR or FN Scar with a polymer upper and lower receiver with magpul furniture. That is the ONLY thing that is not real, unless BIS knows what CMMG is releasing soon. -

Triggers and tasks only working 50% of the time.

I am working on a mission and for some reason other players other than the team leader doesn't receive tasks and diary notes half the time. I hosted a server and my buddy didn't get any tasks or diary notes, then i when i went back to where i chose the mission and started it again and he got all of them. In the mission you start in 1 fireteam, I synced everything that needed to be synced with the team leader. That is 1 issue. The other issue I'm having is I have a mission that involves clearing an OPFOR area of all opfor members, I have a OPFOR not present trigger. It worked earlier in the day but this time it did not, I definitely killed every single opfor in the mission and the task would not complete nor did the extraction helicopter arrive. The trigger isn't even that large and i checked every single corner. Also I made sure the condition has "This" in it. Any solutions? Thanks. -
Every time I go into a server, every player including me starts falling from the sky. Its always when I join and the players told me I'm causing it and to close my game. I don't understand I'm not hacking or changing anything in my game at all. I get home from work and I just want to play some goddamn ArmA. *EDIT* I guess i had @CBA enabled from PlayWithSix and i disabled it and now I'm alright. ...Stupid Go ahead and remove this post. **EDIT*** There is some kind of Hacker/Immature-Child thing going around where once you join an infected server and cross to another, that server get infected. Why do games need to be ruined by hackers? Another reason to have no hope for humanity.

You can run multiplayer with about 20 - 30 FPS, i have the same processor with a 3.9GHz overclock and a EVGA 660 SC. -
i think the soldiers look like they have more lean muscle, not "Mass muscle". Lean muscle is way more suited for their job, mass muscle is just for looks and weight training.
