    Revive Feedback

Grayed out for me, I activated it on the multiplayer attributes but can't activate it on the units. After a few tests and attempts (playing the "checkbox combination game") still doesn't work... Anyone else having this prob on the DEV branch? Cheers! EDIT: NVM...fixed! It was my bad...I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the first post. (For my fellow noobs out there: Revive doesn't work with AI yet, only with players, although I thought it was possible to enable it individually on the units, unfortunately this still doesn't allow me to check the box...*grayed out*)
  3. Same thing is happening to me with the DEV branch / Apex preview. It seems that when I get to the "Unused / Used" menu, the "back" and "next" buttons don't seem to work...only option working is "cancel". So I can't seem to upload my missions as Singleplayer/Coop onto the Workshop. Running the client with no mods, the launcher and client in Admin mode, doesn't seem to make it work for me. But hey! It's DEV branch. I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough.

    Mod issues with 1.60

Having no issue whatsoever when playing vanilla. Mods is a whole different matter. But I'd advise everyone to be patient. The modders make this game 1000 times better for us...for free. And after every BI update there are some tweaks that need to be made...in time. And these will happen...eventually! I love my 100 mods pack altogether, but I tend to go on a small Arma 3 celibate period every time an update is introduced. When it comes to mod problems after an update, the Game Developer can't get the blame directly. In my humble opinion, the developer could eventually schedule and coordinate the update release with the modder teams, provided these are relevant enough for the community. Example: Consider the number of people that use CBA and its direct dependencies. I feel that number is way up in there for the devs to ignore a coordinated launch... Just my 2 cents.

New update - 1.48 - Experience? FPS loss

So far pretty horrible FPS comparing to the last build. Specially when PIP is on for some reason. with it off I sometimes gain 30FPS...

    Firing from Vehicles feedback

Heli pilots joke here: Now it needs a mod from the community devs to enable pilots to activate a scroll down command that goes like "Hold fire"...or "Insert earplugs" =) Nice feature BI, long overdue. Kudos!!

    Advanced Helicopter FDM Feedback

Joystick controls are fine (besides the lack of some features previously mentioned), but when I'm on my laptop playing with mouse and keyboard, it feels as if there has been no effort for smoothing the direct (keyboard) input controls (pitch, yaw, but majorly the rudder pedals inputs (too sensitive) and unresponsive throttle controls). It feels way unresponsive when you're controlling the throttle with the keyboard, in my case a Razer Nostromo for my left hand. Tested on the editor with no lag and /or de-sinc inducing factors.... It would feel much better if it responded to the key strokes, instead of having to hold down the key for a second before the throttle gauge to move.

    Where is the Inventory Editor?

You missed my point. Giving away the on-topic specific opinion of how an interface could look like in relation to load-outs alone, is a perfect example of how easy it could be implemented in the editor interface. And I'm not talking about pretty hats and weird sunglasses. The intention here was never to compare the editors and put them inside the same category. That thought is just ridiculous, as I pointed out before...DCS wasn't even supposed to be a game. About ACE, oh man! Where could we start. The amount of information loaded on clients is ludicrous if you are going for the "full package". But it is not in discussion here, I'm afraid. But I understand the need of including every possibility in an idea, the feasibility of the idea is a whole different matter for debate. The only thing I want to point out about your last argument is that, obviously, the majority of the people aren't taking the effort to learn those 6 lines of code (myself excluded). So something must compensate for that fact, something could be changed. Not right away of course, it's too late for that but, in future iterations of the game maybe. Now, why the majority of people aren't even bothering developing their intellect a little to fully appreciate the game? I wouldn't dare to guess. Maybe we should be discussing the flaws in the conception of the human brain, maybe debating if whether or not BIS should make adjustments to their marketing orientation, so it attracts only enlightened coders, but that wouldn't be on topic so, I'll refrain from doing that by lighting the match myself. It's funny though..."clicking pretty pictures" was an oversight from my part. Sounds promissing =) Cheers!

    Where is the Inventory Editor?

Undeniable quote Harzach. But it's amazing how Eagle Dynamics(DCS Franchise) did such a simple job with their aircraft load-out system...and what amazes me even more...it was never supposed to be a game for such a wide audience. In fact, BIS should take some good ideas out of the DCS World editor...but let's not kid ourselves, not all that scripting is gold... Everyone knows that if you're looking "under the hood" on anything, you're obliged to know the language, whatever it may be but, wouldn't it be nice to make it so the more creative people in terms of game mechanics/design have their way with the editor? I trust we wouldn't be stuck with poorly shuffled scripting like the common Dominations, Insurgency and the derivatives... The only half decent scripting I've seen so far is Bennys Edition and maybe, maybe "insertmapname here" Life...the rest are all properly authorized ripoffs, and excuse me for the poor choice of words but it's not my native language... This exploration of someones old ideas is what's, ironically "dominating" the server numbers, and its blocking (I personally believe) fresh ideas from surfacing. This issue, for as insignificant as it may be, translates into some slackness from our coder saviors. I do a bit of it myself, but time constraints for whichever reasons don't actually allow me, or the common gamer for that matter, to engage further into the "content creation" or game modding fields, and that's obviously natural. But denying that there's no room for improvement in the flexibility of a platform to enable creative people to deliver good ideas via modding tool/ editor is, to say the least, very arrogant. In the end, there is a large part of the community that would wish BIS delivered a fully functional, accessible and easy to maneuver "modding platform", rather than poorly developed content. No flame intended. Just an opinion. Cheers!

    GTX TITAN SLI OC (2000€) = 30 / 25 fps

These threads make me all jelly but warm inside. I've been playing Arma 3 on my Asus G73 laptop (I know, it's old) and getting the same FPS rate these people are complaining about(around 35ish FPS on standard/high settings, 1080p, 3500 Km View/Obj distance). BIS really needs to put ALL effort on this as we've all been noticing how it's turning into a big buzz kill for the franchise/community. I know...thousand thread story...we all know how these threads are horrible. But I've been noticing it's getting worse. I've seen some streaming and youtube videos and the way the lag increments when scripted AI spawns is just ridiculous. Other then the game being unplayable for some people, I think we're heading the right way...idk, are we? Sounds a little static at the moment...
  12. Some "revolutionary" things are worth logging in this forum. Some ideas are just too good to be ignored. If by any chance this would happen in the future, Steam would definitely be the place to make it happen. Though the thread as only 9 pages (yet) and as expected, it probably won't get the attention of who can make the difference in these cases. But hope is the last one to die. To put it plainly, everyone should support this idea and blow the horn on it, as it has no negative side for either the community, developer(s) or distributor. Nuff said. Cheers kju! U'r boss man!

    Altis: Criticism and Suggestions

Needs an aircraft carrier for one of the factions. But I guess the community will work on it. Also, I've played a long session tonight and the players feedback that I've heard the most was "Arma is the only game where people would submit themselves to 10 frames per second and stay for the fun". Negative minds would take it the wrong way...when it's actually a compliment. Procedural rendering needs some work done on Altis. But I don't care much, since I'll be playing it anyway...
