    Arma 3 world record hours (10k ++ ?)

316 hrs in the last 2 weeks!......I'd get some fresh air my friend.

    Anyone using Tobii 4C?

I'll keep this short to cover my disappointment....it's a piece of crap that will be getting sold on at a loss to me, the only decent thing that came in the box was a "free" code for Wildlands. Oh my trusty TrackIR....why did I ever doubt you?
  3. Regarding clutter models, avoid using any of these as they suffer from horrendeous pop-in. None of these render in properly until your literally on top of them.....shameless plug as example

    Killoch's MultiNational Pack

I'd say no, killoch hasn't been active on the forum for a couple of years now....

    Ravage

Transfixed by the dance of the dead, I let my guard down....

    Ravage

Lol, someone beat me to it...^^...nah, man just a little personal config tweak.....been messing around with the grass lengths after I finished the ground clutter tweak yesterday. Good fun!

Taller grass, better cover..... Increasing the length of the grass on Altis makes things a lot more interesting....
  8. Mods: Ravage + (personal) tall grass version of Altis.
  9. I've played on a lot of community made maps, but i can't recall any that have the same aggressive pop-in that Altis and Stratis suffer from, i guess it would depend whether any community made maps used those same ground clutter models as the ones I've removed from Altis and Stratis....that being said if you have any terrains in mind, let me know in the thread I created for the mod itself and i'll happily take a look.
  10. Hi feint, great to see this mod getting an update. Regarding the camouflage feature, could it be extended to land vehicles?
  11. Moderators didn't approve of that particular name.
  12. Could anyone shed some light on the p3d file/files these clutter objects relate to.... Thanks.
  13. Good job man!....I remember Rocket talked about combining both islands for DayZ SA, it's great to see this in Arma 3.
  14. Until this issue with ground clutter is fixed by BI, here is a little interim solution.....
  15. Agreed, it's a good halfway house, it more or less leaves all the grass groups intact, plus some plant groups....once I pack up the config i'll post it. Edit...the config change will only cover Altis and Stratis.
  16. I noticed that on playback...I'll take that little blighter out too! There are around a dozen clutter models that cause the horrible pop-in, thorns and thistles are the probably the worst culprits, followed closely by those pesky germader plants.
  17. @OMAC, your totally right dude, it's only specific clutter models that are to blame for all the eye- bleeding.....so I've spent most of the afternoon and evening figuring out who the main culprits were. First video is vanilla Arma 3..... Second video is a simple config change....
  18. @RoF, thanks for the x-cam tip, found what I was looking for! Thanks.
  19. @Brisse....I think you may be missing the point of the OP, showing examples of static images on Tanoa doesn't highlight the problem. It's more to do with how certain grasses and plants are rendered in right under the players nose. Using Tanoa is a bad example because the rendering in of grass clutter is much better/smoother than Altis/Stratis where it's much more aggressive. Edit....ninja'd by OP!
  20. @Brisse....this has nothing to do with view distance, the popping in of ground foliage is literally right under your nose and it's very difficult to ignore.
  21. Irish eyes are smiling tonight!! Thank you for a beautiful present.
  22. I spoke with Reserve regarding permission to work on this mod over a year ago, as he was not the original author he advised me to try and contact Snake.....Foxhound supplied me with contact information for Snake, but sadly I never received any reply to my enquiry.

    Triggers are broken?

killzone_kid came up with a solution in a similar thread today, https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/202818-trigger-issue/#comment-3164751 The bug could be caused by using the "small" UI size set in the video options, changing this to anything other than "small" apparently solves the issue.....worth a try folks.
  24. Fingers crossed this ain't one of those moderator privileges.....
