  1. Yes, it is extremely annoying, and completely unacceptable in any game that involves shooting. Anyone else that is bothered by this, please vote up this ticket: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=24828 Here is how to reproduce it: Also, it is not caused by acceleration and smoothing (It's the first thing that I turn off, along with motion blur and vsync), this is a very nasty game bug.

    C2 -Command And Control

Since you asked about accesibility, here's a small idea (unless it's not possible to do for some reason). Unselect HUD selected units with right click. In vanilla when you select units with F2, F3... you cancel it with right click, or have action menu on - cancel / turn it off with right click. So when I first installed C2, when I couldn't turn off the hud units with right click, I thought something must be wrong. I'm used to it now, but it could help new users. About HUD select default keybinds, CTRL+F1,F2... combo is really tricky to reach for me. I'm using shift+1,2,3 (not F1,F2..). You could give this a go, and if you like it, change the default on the mod for new users. Now, since you always seem happy to hear us out, here's a feature idea: I like the 3D menu, it's very convenient to use, but I think the bottom left space of the menu could use something more important there. My suggestion would be to take that reset group button, and move it to the center of the menu, and add a way to get AI into the vehicles there. Getting AI in specific vehicle position is very slow with vanilla, and I think that it would be super convenient with your 3D menu. Here is what I mean ---> http://imgur.com/YdFAvMb(warning - awesome paint skills) - First layer shows three vehicles that are closest to player, with name and generic icon showing if it's a chopper / tank / car. If you click on vehicle in the first layer, AI go in ride in back. In second layer you can select if they go in as gunner, driver or commander. Alternatively, you could put the target menu there prioritizing vehicles (especially armored ones). It's tricky to order AI's to target something with vanilla when all hell breaks loose. In any case, just throwing out ideas, no pressure :)
  3. That is great news, I transfered my command menu keys to numpad, I guess they're gonna go back pretty soon. Since you guys (BIS) are already messing with keys, any chance adding a key for grenade launcher? I got used to it in ACE3, and whenever I try playing vanilla, it feels really weird clicking through firemodes to get to the grenade launcher.

    C2 -Command And Control

It's pretty amazing what you did with this mod. Couple of months ago when I stumbled on this, it really did seem great, but I was put off because I could rebind only couple of keys, so it was interfering with vanilla stuff (also there was no option to toggle off numpad formations). Downloaded it again, and as I'm going through the .pdf getting my bearings, and rebinding keys, I'm really excited to try this out in a game. However, at the end of the .pdf, I noticed something about putting a line to missions init.sqf if you don't want the mod to mess with your AI skill. Is there a chance you could make this an in game option, or make an optional file in the mod that we need to place / remove to toggle this option? Pretty much any other option that does not involve editing every single mission that you want to play to disable this (if I understood that correctly?). Anyway, thanks for the mod :)

I love this feature (10m29s) ==> (especially since you can turn in and out with hotkeys, without using the action menu) Is there a chance we get this for the gunner of armed Tiger / other armed vehicles as well?

Nice find, thanks! Hopefully the values remain the same.

Can anyone tell me the numbers of AI skill and precision, for expert and normal difficulty preset?
  8. Thanks for the update, really loving the ace_noactionmenu, and the option to increase the interaction menu speed :)
  9. I think this mod causes AI to jump sometimes when under fire. I'm not personally using this mod, but the group I sometimes play with use it, and it only happens when I play with them. We have similar modsets, though I don't use TPW and ASR_AI. From the short test, ASR AI doesn't seem to cause this.

Pretty sure it's because of the suppression mod.
  11. Most things are covered in their wiki, it even has a nice search, so you can find what you need in a matter of seconds. http://ace3mod.com/wiki/search.html?searchTerm=wire
  12. Can't launch the game with Play with Six, when I don't have internet, I remember this used to work at some point. Launching through steam works, but then I don't have the mods. Also, when I close it with or without internet, it often doesn't shut down properly, then I have to end process in task manager (which can grow up to 1gb, after I closed the pw6).

There is also a problem where AI is close to a building or a wall, and hears/detects the enemy on the other side, then throws the grenade (in the right direction, spot on actually, the problem is, there is a wall in front of them). It seems to be the same problem as AI hearing you, and trying to shoot you through the wall, but in this case grenade just bounces back to them killing the AI, and injuring his teammates. Either that, or they just don't know there is a wall in front of them.

@oukej here is the link to the mission: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=426748271 There is one more mission, that might help you: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=195740346 This one was before the video I already posted Didn't post this one before, because I'm not using the same weapon as the enemy. But if you try to play this mission, what happens is, you can clear a room or two, but eventually AI decides they heard enough, and just shoot you through the wall. Also when they kill you through the wall, they just stop firing, they know you're dead every time, it could use some tweaking too if possible.

This is what bothers me most about the AI, they seem to be able to identify you as hostile, and even engage you through the wall based just on the sound you're making, without ever seeing you. I did some tests too I don't mind AI trying to shoot me through the wall or bush when they see me run behind it, but shooting through the wall just because they heard footsteps or someone firing (not towards them) on the other side...how do they know it's not friendly?
  17. Any specific errors? I've had some weird issues with arma, it gives me send/don't send error when starting the game and crashes - 5-10 times in a row (even though couple of hours ago it worked fine, and I didn't change anything). Then finally after random amount of attempts it launches normally without me fixing anything, and it doesn't matter if I launch the game from PW6 or steam.

Played rush in, really great mission! Love that G36 in CQB. Would like to see alternate version with little birds instead of ghosthawks for those roof insertions :)
  19. Well, I guess sometimes only deleting everything helps. Unless you already tried this, delete play with six, and make sure to delete these as well: C:\Users\your_user_name_here\AppData\Local --- inside, remove folders "SIX Networks" and "PlaywithSIX", and do the same here: C:\Users\your_user_name_here\AppData\Roaming Also check for those folders here: C:\ProgramData --- Just in case you don't know, you need to enable show hidden files and folders, in order to see ProgramData and AppData. However, this will delete all your settings and collections from PW6.

Any chance we can get m68 - red dot without ARD? I see you have ACOG with, and without ARD, it would be awesome if we could get m68 without it too. I'm asking because it's often hard to see enemy through it (especially if he's on the move), so I keep aiming next to the enemy to see where he is, then try to shoot him, and repeat. In reality I guess this wouldn't be a problem because of the second eye. Anyway, aside from this slight inconvenience, love the mod :)
  21. I had that once after PW6 crashed, deleting .synq folder solved it for me.
  22. Great update, love that Pzf! However, I noticed on aimpoint and kobra, the zoom values are different than zooming in without aiming the gun, just letting you know in case you didn't notice it already :)
