    Speed Of Sound Pure

    Hey, I eventually got to play this mod and my first impressions are it's very different from the last. It feels more like a modern theater of war soundscape (if that makes sense) that we're used to seeing from the likes of Afghanistan through a gopro type cam (thats no reflection on audio quality, but realism). The distance cracks and pops sound more distant to me if that makes sense, they sound spot on I love them. There are problems with some small arms near/mid distance effects as mentioned. At one point I could hear a rifleman unloading his clip and could not see him, he was on the other side of a building (100m+) but sounded in close proximity. Love the fact that suppressed weapons have a subtle reverb indoors and like the new suppressor sound effect. The explosions are great nice and meaty, will sound great through a sub I imagine. Pleased to see you haven't changed the Comanche too much, I absolutely loved that sound in SOS :cool: Great ambience effects, nothing to repetitive and no obvious loop points. The character movement sound effects sounded very low IMO when compared to the ambience effects etc. It almost felt like I was stealthily sneaking around even when sprinting through grass and on concrete. Just my first impressions, but this mod is staying in my modset. Great work

  3. Played on this map this evening. It's absolutely brilliant. Loved the variations in the urban areas, lots of enter-able different buildings I'd never seen before.... one of the best maps I've encountered. Thanks

    Woaw really?...Speechless i'm absolutely speechless. I hope this comes off and makes it to your mod set. It handles very similar to the 10 inch from what I've heard, but obviously more compact still. One problem! You may have to get a court order to release this virtual weapon system globally. I think it's currently only available in the US haha :D Thanks

    Haha I thought the KAC Masterkey was originally based around the Remmington 870 :p and your model looks like it has a pump action:D. I could easily make a Benelli M4 for a future update. The reload sound effect is a compromise, to sync with the current animation. I've kept the files should anything change. Thanks

  16. I haven't tried the survival element of this game yet. But what a beautiful map, breath taking views, settlements, lakes, rivers....Guillie suit heaven. I'd vote just for this map alone. :cool:

  20. @spirit haha yes those AI tend to screw things up a bit. I was playing an escape and evade type scenario and thought how good would it be if a helo full of spec ops were trying to intercept my fireteam (ehem Dragon Rising). It would certainly be interesting to add DoTransport maybe if the helo even just did the insertion (fastrope) and the units used an alternative method for extraction (Hemtt etc). Thanks for replying and continue with your great work. :cool:
  21. Hi fellas, MCC/GAIA and Zeus are a match made in noob Arma heaven. Anyway I'd like to ask a question regarding GAIA. I watched one of Spirits video's where a transport helo was assigned to GAIA and it would patrol GAIA zones. Is it possible at present to fill these helo's with an OPFOR group fireteam/s. Then make the transport helo patrol the zone/s until BLUFOR presence is detected, find a suitable landing/ fastroping spot to unload; and track the BLUFOR units last known position etc. Then possibly even repeat the helo process with a second fireteam. I was thinking something similar to the GAIA hemtt initialization where the two units/groups would combine and head to the objective, clear the area and return to base. Or possibly even using the MCC editor for initialization place Helo and fill with units/cargo but a group/s assigned to GAIA. ps I've tried attaching groups to a GAIA helo and it fails to take off even when other units are actively engaged in combat. Hope some of this makes sense :p

    I'm experiencing problems with the M249 :( It keeps firing and empty during it's shooting cycle. eg shot-shot-shot-empty-shot....Just thought i'd mention it mate. ps no I haven't ran out of bullets :p
