    1.07 beta

Just popped in to say thanks to the developers for still supporting the game. I might just pop back and add some more hours to my 200+. May I ask, how are the map building tools coming?
  2. Hi, I only seem to notice the issue when i knock up all the graphics to maximum. A couple tweaks in lowering some settings fixes it for me. I think it's quite a trial and error thing, give it a try, and see what works for your system.

    Xbox360 Version still supported?

Hi There, If i recall correctly, Microsoft charges the devs for every patch they release for the 360. It is possible that they'll release one when they are finished patching the game. At the current moment, I don't even know if they are still working on the PC patches anymore, but check back to the forums occasionally, to see. I did buy the 360 version of the game myself to try out, but without the Deadly Islands mod, and the dev patches it doens't live up to the pc version.
  4. That is indeed true, but i still find the projectile to be too slow. I'd like a cannon that behaves like..well... a cannon. Think the Mako cannon in Mass Effect. I agree that there are too many arc weapons. The grenade launcher is fine, the Howitzer is quite good,(apart from the whole aiming issue) the other two... i avoid as they're just not fun to use to me.
  5. Hi Species1571! Just popped in to say thank you very much for your mod, it improves the game immensely. I honestly think the dev team could lift some of your work into the official patches. Since this thread is reasonably active, I'll ask this here: what's your opinion on the viability of some of the following ideas: -A proper walrus tank cannon. One that shoots in a reasonably straight line in stead of the weird grenade launcher scenario. It could be a bit lower damage to compensate for the fact that it actually can be aimed at things. -A spotter attachment to mantas/scout drone. It would basically create a 2 component weapon system, where you have a walrus with the howitzer, and you have a manta up in the air, with this (replacing all/both weapons) basically spotting+marking targets for the howitzers. To balance it, the artillery could be quite inaccurate for example, and possibly a bit lower damage. I had several other ideas i can't recall right now, i'll update this post if they come to mind. Thanks again for your work, I have played this game a lot, and you have just added another 100 hours for me with your mod. Cheers
  6. First of all, hi everyone! I really took a liking to this game, and managed to put in 60ish hours 'till now. Had loads of fun, but many frustrated moments as well. My impression is that this game was an extremely ambitious project, which had loads of potential in it, but was limited by time and budget, so a lot of ideas had to be dropped in order to make the core experience workable. Which is still the better decision, facing the alternative of a game with way more functionality but being way less polished. The graphics, effects, sounds, maps are all great, and done. The action gameplay itself when in manual control is pretty solid as well. What the game lacks(apart from the obvious and stated by many ai and crash fix) is the set of proper rts commands, and the units being able to carry them out, and some other bits that'll happily list in the appropriate thread. I've been reading this forum for some time, and i see that you have quite a lot of people loving the game, and willing to pour their insights into it, not to mention hard work when the modding tools are released. All i'd like to know, and i'm mainly asking the developers here, on what your plans are. Will you only support the game with fixing the major issues (the basic ai, the pathfinding, the crashes) or are you planning to add some heavily needed extra content to make the experience deeper? Or will that be left to the modders? And that's what i mean when i'm asking about the future of the game. Many Thanks, SoulAssassino P.s.: Of course i would like to thank you for making it, i haven't had this much fun playing a single game since Battlezone 2, you still did a great job in my opinion.
