    Thanks for clearing that one up. I know about the difference between regular and stealthed hawks, it was just that I thought the black hawks in A2 OA were the stealth ones because vanilla sounds between black hawks and hawks are different with the black one being dimmer and quieter than the regular MH60:confused: Makes one think, wouldn't it be a super cool thing to have stealthed helos in A2 by default (the little birds and KA uav's do count, but they are compact rotary aircraft though)
  2. There's a tool called ConTEXT I use over many years for mass batch text file conversion. You may want to try it. I can also give it a shot, though I need some raw data first. This gave me a good idea to try place some units in the editor and batch convert text entries with ConTEXT per unit types (infantry, armor, etc):rolleyes: Edit, just gave it a quick check. It seems it's relatively easy to extract class names from mission sqm files, but nearly impossible to name them properly as display names aren't logged in sqm file. If you have a log or something with both classnames and display names you can give me that and I can try batch convert it into readable and usable classlist. Here's what I got in a quick (took me 2-3 minutes to clear out, more to place all the units on the map...)     Isn't it logical that Black Hawks are quieter than regular Hawk's because they are stealthy? No issues my side, I use 1st person camera most of the time when in vehicles so it's not that loud as some say it is. It's not quiet either, put one of those David Clark headphones and see if you can hear a thing in real life. Pilots use aviator headsets, regular soldiers use ear cushions or ear plugs.

  5. Perfect, thanks. Those will do the job. I'd also suggest an updated classlist after 2.64/2.65 comes out :p Very useful sample, thanks. I will use it as a guide to make my own list. P.S. Do I need to specify correct ammo types in DAC configs/scripts so that units spawn with proper equipment or do they simply spawn with default gear and magazine settings is just for ammo crates?
  6. One of the best AI script/mod bundles around. Easy to use and doesn't hit on performance either. Thanks Silola :) I have some questions though: 1. How to remove markers properly? (I did manage to remove them from game by removing the scripts, don't know is this a correct way though) 2. How to remove chat notification messages? (Ie, who was killed, who was spawned, etc) 3. How to remove artillery completely without errors? 4. How to remove camps (any kind off, and MHQ's)? 5. How to remove ammo and statics from spawning? What I'm basically trying to make is post battle WW2 mission where both West and East sides would spawn randomly over a huge shared area with occasional infantry and rarely ever spawned armors or light vehicles by DAC while ammo and empty vehicles spawns would be handled either by placements on map or my own scripts. In addition to this, player would respawn (or players, for MP, is DAC MP compatible by the way?) after death, randomly as well. To sum it up: >Simple post battle survival-like WW2 setting. >Some infantry spawned. >Rarely any armors spawned. >No artillery support. >No camps spawned. >No statics spawned. I already understood how to manually add units, tweak some of DAC's options and properly initiate DAC via triggers for each side. Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance.

Excellent mission, by far the one that supports most mods and terrains of all :D Is there a chance you add support for I44's winter terrains and perhaps a unit count selector (instead of percentages) for each side so that there's more control over units spawned in mission? Thanks in advance. Aplocalypse is well made, I recommend it to everyone :)
  9. Awesome! Thanks, I think I will use DAC and try make a quick mission then see what happens. I already linked the thread before in comments here, will post soon :) I can do graphic (Loading screens, intro images, UI stuff, etc) as well as sound design (Voice chat filters aka radio comms, sound effects for cutscenes, etc) though I can't promise a dedicated work as I am very busy with RL projects I'm working on. Post few ideas and I may think about it, if I have some free time, nobody else wants to do this kind of work and you are working on a campaign for I44 send me a PM with some details or an invite and I will help if I can.   11. That's exactly what I meant, APOCALYPSE supports a lot of terrains but none of them are winter ones from I44, though I got to admit Neaville and the river map look beautiful in summer. I know how that feels, I used to make custom content for games like CSS, GTA:SA, BF2, etc way back and most of it would end up shared only between my friends for LAN parties because the content didn't pick up online. The missions that come with the mod are really good, in SP Aloft is my fav from I44 and in MP Battle of Du Pont is the best PVP CQB mission you can find in ArmA 2, timing and setting are perfect for pvp matches, whatsoever it sort of reminded me of Medal Of Honor Allied Assault and Call of Duty 2 campaigns. I agree that if people don't feel like playing any of missions that come with the mod there's no point in wasting time for new ones, if there are some new ones to be made I suggest a dynamic mission-two in style of Flashpoint series, Armoured Recon, Advancing Power and FFA II but for both SP and MP, this way you get less effort put into scenarios and a more random and dynamic play while still demonstrating the mod content on the go. A survival mode mission would be nice too (no zombies and such bs) where players, ai, supplies and vehicles are spawned randomly but sparely so that it looks like a post battle event where soldiers who are left from the battle try to survive, regroup and defeat the opposition. Low amount of ammo, vehicles etc. I actually thought about making something like this for SP and MP (even tried making a light demo in editor and it surprisingly worked even without scripts, got freaked out by a patroling stug I didn't see until up close, that drove on roads slowly scouting for hills then a Sherman blew it up only to get wasted by a German AT soldier which I then shot dead but got blown up by another tank I didn't see lurking in the nearby woods behind me) wouldn't be too hard to make a simplified version though I don't have free time for it at the moment, maybe if nobody else makes something like this I give it a shot someday. Me too :D Du Pont PVP mission in particular.

  13. About the dynamic missions for I44. APOCALYPSE is great! It perfectly simulates large scale battles and paratrooper action (since loads of infantry are massively dropping behind enemy lines) It's a little bit tricky to set the configs right but once you do a really great dynamic SP mission for I44 (and many other mods) the only letdown was lack of winter terrain support. Anyway, I found what I was looking for, sort of to say the least. It was bundled with I44 the whole time. There's a gamemode/mission for MP named battlefronts or something like that and can be launched in LAN mode with ai, got me surprised how fun it was actually and even more how it resembles Battlefield 1943 (The split scoreboards, class choice, etc) which makes me wonder, why is nobody playing this gamemode online?:| BF 1943 was really fun, with this game mode it's like BF1943 on steroids. There are other good gamemodes as well, why is everyone playing domination (Not even a full I44 port) all the time? :confused:

    MVD Mission Pack

    Thanks for the feedback, Variable. The missions in this pack are focused on strategy, proper tactics execution and short teamplay. If executed right, it's super easy to complete, however even one small mistake can put the outcome to a complete disaster. Although slowed down by the ending holiday season and lots of work, I am working on improving the missions as well as possibly adding another few (and at least one SP mission) in next release. Some of the changes include - Fixed lots of bugs, improved AI (synched with events more precisely) more random events (random AI, random vehicles, etc) and several other additions. Several users mentioned that missions are neither fun or easy to play, the MVD Mission Pack aims to teach about, force use of and explore previously rarely ever seen/used MVD tactics in any game and no primarily entertain. However, the fact that your friends completed the missions with ease is a very good thing, specially if the missions were executed right, thus I would like to know how did they complete Barricaded Suspects, what equipment did they use and so on :) Thanks for playing missions from this pack.

  17. Thanks for the link, I dl some of the missions, hopefully they are well made. It's sad there's no dynamic mission for I44. Perhaps someone could make something like this for SP or even better MP (My personal favorite over many years) - http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?77476-SP-Armoured-Recon I would make some dynamic missions if I had the A2 scripting knowledge which I sadly don't posses as I explored the editor only recently and ended up making a mission and a mission pack. Maybe in the future I do make some for I44, but sadly I won't be able to soon. If anyone is planning on making a dynamic SP mission for I44 and winter terrain in particular, thumbs up for you:D
  18. Thanks for your detailed answers, Pac. You guys know what you are doing, so I'm going to leave it at that. Keep up the good work. I just finished exploring all of the I44's content in editor (completed several missions as well), tried out almost every single armor/car/aircraft/unit I could and I have to say, that's a lot of units! I've never seen so many and well detailed armors in a game (Except ArmA 2 CO with DLC's of course) let alone a mod. The tanks, Sherman and Tiger in particular have eye-candy detail and behave so realistically to commands. I would like to know. I searched the forums and Armaholic, found several user made missions but none of those were what I was looking for, what I actually need is a dynamic SP mission with high re-playability value such as Flashpoint by Thomsonb or Armoured Recon by ArmaMedic or AdvancingPower by Dragon Zen. Anyone knows where I can find such missions, or perhaps mods of those but for I44 so I can have some offline fun with I44 when there are no servers I could play on?
  19. Thanks for the links. There was a 3D audio Mumble plugin (for A2/OA) released recently, can't recall its name, though I'm wondering whether is it compatible with ACRE or not. And yes, a pity really. Well, all of the best things have smallest of audiences.
  20. ACRE for Mumble? IMHO TS3 is overrated, poor codec quality, no privacy (it's so easy to hack people there) and it hits performance badly, not to mention that having a TS3 server can get expensive for smaller clans/teams. Any plans on making a Mumble ACRE plugin?
  21. Thanks for the info Pac. Downloading I44 :) Edit: Just finished trying out I44. Even without Eastern front this is amazing! I recommend it to everyone, try it out seriously :D Someone mentioned that this should be a commercial game, well I agree to some level, this is more of a game based on A2 CO engine rather than a mod, enormous amount of work is put into this. You guys say I44 was developed for past decade? That's a lot of time. So I am going to suggest something. If you plan to port I44 to A3, and perhaps expand it (Eastern front :D) in the future, you should seek sponsors (Such as National Geographic, they used to fund mod teams and game developers for great WW2 recreations) or start a kickstarter, raise some money, get paid and hire new team members on a professional level, buy music licenses, buy a license to use A2/A3 engine from BI and release a stand alone game that is either free or paid. I also suggest you make an installer (whole mod) since you put documentation, executables, icons and almost everything for it, then release that, and release patches only with major changes (say in few months or half a year) just like PR Team did for BF2 PR. Thanks for such a great mod, I44 Team :)

    Neat. So, wounds are being recognized by medics as hitpoints/hitboxes rather than general scroll down or action menu thing? At least from that screenshot it looks like it. I wonder what this community will pull off when ArmA 3 kicks out with physics:confused:
