  1. APPLY NOW The 31st MEU was founded in late 2015 with the goal of providing a fun, realistic, ArmA 3 experience utilizing real-world tactics, SOPs, communications, and organization. Many of our members are current active and/or veteran military from all branches of the armed services. An emphasis is placed on realistic training objectives and operations. To accomplish our objective of providing an immersive and professional environment, we hold ranks and members are expected to role-play their specific positions when in-game. With that said, we are not a "hardcore" realism unit. Do not expect to be yelled at in Boot Camp, or have to salute or address officers as "Sir". Our ultimate goal is to find that perfect balance between realism and fun, with fun being the priority. We try to use the latest and most realistic mods. We pride ourselves on being transparent with our members, with all members having the ability to have a say in the direction and decisions of the unit. Additionally, we realize that our members have real life responsibilities and may not be able to attend every event. We have a Reserves option for these individuals who may attend unit events when they are able to. MOSs available in our unit include: 0311 Rifleman 0331, 0341, 0351 Weapons (Machine Gunner, Mortarman, Assaultman) 0621 Field Radio Operator 8002 Joint Terminal Attack Controller Pilots for: CH-53, UH-1Y, AH-1Z, F-35B 1. Make sure you meet our requirements for joining: Minimum age requirement: 17 Years old. Only exceptions is given through a interview with any HQ member. Cut off point for this is 15 years old. Need to have ArmA 3 installed. Your application will not be processed without a valid Player ID. TeamSpeak 3 VoIP Client and working microphone/speakers/headset. You need to hear us, we need to hear you. You will not be allowed to begin initial training without these. Ability to attend our weekly unit wide events every Sunday from 19:00 (7:00 PM) - 21:30 (9:30 PM) Central Standard Time. Along with any fireteam, squad and platoon trainings. 2. Read and Understand the Definition of Realism Gaming:The 31st MEU Realism Unit is a volunteer unit. By applying, you are stating that a realism environment is how you want to play ArmA III. What we do here is essentially "role playing" that we are members of the military. When involved in official unit activities, you will play your part, be it a Private, Lance Corporal , Sergeant, or even a Captain or above; you are here because realism in gaming is what you want. If you don't wish to participate in this manner, then this unit is likely not the place for you. APPLY NOW The 31st is looking for a dedicated zeus operator. This means that you will primarily do operations on Sundays as Zeus. As of such, you wont be assigned to a Squad or Fireteam, due to you being a dedicated zeus operator. As mentioned, you will be in charge of overlooking the operations on every Sunday (minus 4th and 5th Sundays). This will be done with the already assigned Zeus Operators and the mission team, that will be assisting you in both the planning and the creation of the mission. A few things that needs to be made quite clear before you apply! First some things you'll need/requirements: You can't be in a leadership Billet, if you are, then you need to have a talk with you squad leader first and from there get it passed up through the CoC. Upmost respect towards the unit, it's members and the way things are done around here is needed. A level-headed and mature approach to things will be needed aswell. Zeus'ing aint for the weakminded. Ability to see the greater picture, even when it goes against your personal interest. Next is what we need: An well-written application on why you see yourself as the zeus operator of the 31st - this needs to be sent in a PM on the forums to myself, Capt Sorensen, and Sgt Rodriguez If you are not apart of the 31st you will need to apply first, after applying PM Sgt Rod or Capt Sorensen with a detailed summary of experience and reasons you are the best for the job.

  5. Im having a problem with my repo, we setup a folder on our server with out mods and it has the .a3s folder with all files in it. The build of the repo seems fine untill your try to check files on it. It gives an error saying files appear corrupt. Ive reinstalled arma 3 sync times over and rebuilt the repo many times over any ideas? directory is unitname/.a3s/ and the error gives /.a3s/sync files appear to be corrupt. Any help would be amazing.

    Ya standalone ones aren't to great when it comes to being in the water, but what you said about the scripting voodoo is probably the reason. Thanks for the answer, hopefully like you said it will be implemented soon :). Can always hope RHS will make new ones after implemented as well :-p their work is great.

    I looked and couldn't find anything in the search so my bad if its been brought up before, do you guys plan on creating the AAV? Would be nice to have some quality amphibious vehicles.

    Depending on the Unit regulations are made by squad leaders and up, if it is allowed many do it. Im not sure where you get your information about not accepted practice in tactical environment thats silly, I know guys personally that rolled their sleeves in combat.

  14. Need some help, I got the addon set up and the everything works fine until the actual jump. A guy I play with jumps out and instantly dies, and I fall for a little bit then die in the air can anyone think of a reason why and how to fix this problem?

  23. Question, will people be able to modify this for US weapon uses? Maybe an open source for US milsim players to use?
