I am not asking for perfection, but suppressed JSRS sounds (the shot itself including bolt) used to sound more realistic in general in an older version, CE.19.0822 iirc (RHS JSRS mod). I know of at least one private mod where this is already a thing, so it's possible especially since echos (from the shooters pov) already exist for all non-suppressed shots and I am still conviced that this already existed in that earlier version (unsupressed M4s, M16s etc also sounded more realistic in general), I was very disappointed when all these sounds were changed again and the echo was gone. -

Arma 3 still lacks proper suppressed sounds, so I hope the finalized version will sound more like this with the sonic crack echo (some of the earlier A3 JSRS releases already sounded similar afaik): -
Any chance for some alt variants of carbines with slightly more extended stocks so there won't be a gap between shoulders and the rifles? It's something that bugs me with most Arma guns... EDIT: nvm I think it's more of an animation/stance issue... god I miss A2 animations.

Are those new Noveske rifles a possibilty in the future? Or do they already exist in some other mod I missed?

Since the latest hotfix all sights now have an atrocious blur effect, even when you shoot in third person and I cannot change or disable it in the options like it says in the patch notes. Makes the game unplayable for me... -

Okay nvm I am retarded lol. So the mod Blastcore Murr Edition was active and was also updated at the same as the hotfix which I didn't notice since my launcher language resets to german for whatever reason after an Arma game update, so I also instantly close it and restart it, that's why I probably didn't notice it right away. Anyway I deactivated Blastcore and now it's gone. -

I guess it's not actually radial blur within the optics, it's this new "heat wave" animation at the muzzle (that's why it's also visible outside of optics) which looks awful and probably wastes CPU/GPU power. So how or where do I turn it off? -
Hide/unhide mount model config ?

So I got beppe_goodoldrebels BlackOps weapon source pack and most of it works fine ingame, but one thing drives me crazy, most guns have a rail/mount that will be hidden without optics and show the mount with optics, this is how it works with the original pack since its release. The original model.cfg looks like this: But it won't unhide or show the mount no matter what, I've already tried countless other values but nothing happens accept that it will show up without optics but hide again with optics, when it should be the other way around. I don't get it. I also looked up many similar configs but none of them work, everything else in this config works just like the original release. So what is wrong here? Am I missing something? -

Found a better (less offensive?) picture of the regular TRX alpha 13" rail without the built in flip up fron sight used by Aussie units: I was only asking because it seems to be an easy copy-pasta job since you already have the 9" version without the flipup sight, but then I noticed this: Which is another "bug", the actual rail has no "open holes" at the end of the rail: -

Why the confusion? Up to 1983 they still used those old vests, at least that's what you'll see in all those old photos and videos. I was just asking for any other mods out there that might have them but don't list them in their description (no google hits). Any chance for a re-upload of CE.19.0822? Or doesn anyone have a link? M16s, M4s etc (CUP) sounded much better before the latest update to CE.19.0829, especially suppressed fire finally had a realistic "echo" effect. EDIT: Yes, since the latest update, CUP M16s with JSRS support now sound like M203s, and suppressed fire is way to Hollywood-quiet again. -

Thank you for this release, it's still one of my favorite mods, really appreciate it! However the only thing that's not really working is the mounts when using optics, it will always be hidden permanently, so the mount won't show up with or without optics... this is how it looks in the model.cfg, everything else works fine; mags, bolt, sights etc... -

The new uniforms, gear and weapons (textures) look amazing. Anyway I just really hope you'll tune down the shinynees/reflectiveness of all the infantry armor and ARs to a less glossy and more matte and realistic finish like that of the OPCAN H3 marines for example, especially the MA5Cs in direct sunlight are ridiculously shiny, the Ma37 now has the same problem, but it was fine in the earlier version, where it wasn't too matte nor too shiny, just like the very first MA5 models back in the day. -

The new MA5 textures look good, but I just hope you'll also make them a bit less shiny/reflective (like the very first version iirc).
