It actually says ...\cba\... @ACE has nothing to do with it. Is the @CBA still there? -
Wait, that incredible weapon simulation is awesome!! There is a crosshair in the middle of the screen and the weapon is shifted to the right, just as in real life. That is definitely better than Doom 2!

That would be perfect. ACE, ASR_AI and TPWCAS works really fine here but some tweaking to improve the compatibility is always a good thing.

The only thing I need to do to start steam-version of ArmA2 with ACR is to add it to the mod string as "acr" (without @). Modfolders work perfectly.

Exactly. If we talk about having both eyes open, there is a shift to the right. That would be the normal shooting position reflex and red dot scopes. I think ArmA assumes that the shooter has only one I open if in scoped mode. Again...one I opened: yes. Both eyes opened: no. IMHO there are far more important issues to care about if we talk about ArmAIII

^this...definitely. And if you sum it up, the moments where you scan the environment with a magnified scope are really mere. If we want it the realistic way, we have to consider that the optics wouldn't be in the middle of the screen plus the head would be tilted etc.

Obviously ppl never get a feeling of the meaning of a large battlefield like ArmA has. Yeah, so those scopes work in RO1 and RO2 and RO3 and... but: 1. Different Engine 2. Battlefield that is as small as a compound on takistan against hundreds of squarekilometers 3. A developer won't push their engine to the limits with release of their game. Why? Well, all the gaming magazines out there will complain about the high hardware requirements if extreme settings like RTT or SSAO.

Ok, you say that only CO works just fine? With all Arma2 and Arma2:OA content? Have you tried to gradually add the mods to command line? You only have a chance to find the root cause in getting to the point where the server doesn't show in any list. -

What about remote connecting (directly input the IP adress) or using a app like PlaywithSix? -
Simply activate the submods? Oh and ACEX_pla is not for ACE2, it is for ACE. Add mods via the "add mod" search tool. It is the simpliest way to start ArmA IMHO.

If the beta patch is installed it would be a good point to start modding "correctly". I can assure you: Most of the servers aren't for vanilla or dayz.

In fact he does have to reinstall the game in case he "installed" all the mods by putting them in the addons folder seperately or whatever...

I suggest you inform yourself about - Modding Folders - Mod Management Tools - Custom Repository - Keys - Structure of the ArmA community regarding "clans" and their servers. Or just "deinstall" (I never "installed" any mod actually) all mods and play vanilla

Which .tar file? And what does the .hpp file say if you open (located in your userconfig/ace folder) it now? Do you use beta? Without beta you have to run clippi in background to change your keys etc.

It is wise to run the latest beta as well. Regarding the mod string: If the foldername is "@JSRS 1.5" and you call the addon via mod string "...;@JSRS;..." then everything is fine.

Humans aren't really smart most of the time. Of course no AI mod will "fix" the AI. And I am sure that the AI could be better. But then most of the users are complaining that their 4GHz Quadcore CPU are too slow to run the game. -
Never thought about increasing the gear menus size...everything is clearly readable and you are able to have an eye on the enemy.

35/5 is 7 bucks per months...and you don't need to pay the electricity (which should not be underestimated in some countries).
