  1. Hi I've got the Free version of ArmA II, however ATM I have a laptop that is extremely shit and even on 'Very Low' settings for everything it can only run about 1 Frame Per Second! So as far as I can tell the Free version includes multiplayer, The Armory, scenarios, the level editor etc. In fact, the only thing that isn't available is the Campaign. Therefore, is it worth paying £15 just to get Campaign? (By the way I haven't entered the key because I'm building a gaming PC and I want to use it on my new computer obviously) Thanks :)
  2. Please could somebody reccommend a good, value-for-money case that's £60 or under? Preferably a large/normal one so I know everything'll fit in, and it needs to be able to have a disc tray/drive thing (I've forgotten the actual word for one for some reason, although basically I mean the thing you put a DVD into) Or is the Cooler Master 430 good enough? I can't see a space for you to even put a disc tray in... (I'll buy most of my games from Steam but I'm pre-ordering the Far Cry 3 Insane Edition)
  3. OCZ ModXStream Pro Power supply - 600 Watt £47 Sapphire RADEON HD 7850 Graphics card - 2 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM £142

Is it worth buying full version?

Thanks, I'll definitely get the full version. Should I get Combined Operations too?
  5. CPU - Intel Core i5 3570K RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz MOBO - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H Graphics Card - NVIDIA GTX560 Ti PSU - OCZ750FTY 'Fatality' series 750W OS - Windows 7 (Home Premium) 64-bit Case - Cooler Master 430 Windowed Monitor - will spend around £140 Speakers - Creative A60 2.0 (£15) Keyboard - IDK ATM but will spend around £25/£30 Hyper 212 Evo Fan - £25 Also, is this worth about £900? (everything) and do I need a full size case? Thanks :)

Is it worth buying full version?

It's £25 for ArmA II and ArmA II: Combined Operations (the standalone one) Thanks for your help :) Can't wait to play, but it'll be roughly a month before we're finished building the PC for a few reasons. I can't wait to create my own missions and I've recently discovered the attachTo command thing so that'll be really fun too.
  7. I'll get the 3570K and GA-Z77X-D3H. They're only slightly more expensive and I've changed the PSU to an OCZ750FTY 'Fatality' 750W which is actually cheaper and got much better reviews, so I've saved more money. Thanks again for the help, now I just need to find the best place to buy them. Overclockers.co.uk was reccommended to me and there are a few things on Amazon too, as well as local PC shops. Can't wait to play ArmA II! (and other games such as Far Cry 3)
  8. Thanks I'll get the 3570, it's only £10 ($15) more. I might get the Z77 MoBo but it's around £100 whereas the 68's around £70, and I don't want a motherboard that's a lot worse, obviously I want a good PC but I need to save money where I can. Do I really need the extra features? Also, do you need to buy a sound card these days to use speakers? We've got an old PC and I was like 'WTF why don't these speakers work?' and I was told you need to buy one to make them work. Sorry I'm such a noob, but I'm learning. Thanks again for your help so far :)
  9. But is it compatible with all my other components though? I was told the Intel Core i5 2500K processor needs to you know, have the right connection, so I need a Z68 motherboard. Thanks.
  10. These are my specifications: CPU - Intel Core i5 2500K RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz MOBO - Gigabyte Z68 PSU - OCZ ZT 750W 80+ Bronze Modular Power Supply Graphics Card - NVIDIA GTX560 OS - Windows 7 (64 Bit) I'm also buying a Hyper 212 Evo fan, it's only £25 and should reduce temperatures by approximately 15 degrees celcius! The PC itself should cost about £500 however it'll be around £850 including the operating system, monitor, case, keyboard + speakers (I've got a good mouse) and the cooling fan. THE BIT I NEED HELP FOR: So the motherboard I'm getting is a Gigabyte Z68 as you can see, but there are -I think- five different versions and I have no idea which one to get, what the differences are etc (very confusing load of numbers) Could you tell me which one I should get please? I'd also appreciate any help with what manafacturer of graphics card I get because there are so many different NVIDIA GTX560 cards. I thought they were all the same... Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Isn't there The Armory? You can select any vehicle or weapon and test it out, don't even need to use the editor. Actually, I've never really played ArmA II TBH. Well, I played a tiny bit on my really shit laptop (on very low settings for EVERYTHING, still does about 1 frame a second) but I'm building a PC now :) But yeah I thought there was the armory thing you could use too.
  12. Hey I'm new to the PC gaming community as I'm currently researching about building a computer and I now know the components I want. I don't know if this is really the appropriate forums to post this question on but I'd really appreciate any help. I've already asked on the "Will my PC run this?" thread, and they've confirmed with the specifications I have it should be able to play ArmA II on Ultra graphical settings at ~45 Frames Per Second. These are my specifications: (note - I haven't actually bought anything yet) CPU - Intel Core i5 2500K RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz MOBO - Gigabyte Z68 PSU - OCZ ZT 750W 80+ Bronze Modular Power Supply Graphics Card - NVIDIA GTX560 OS - Windows 7 (64 Bit) I'm also buying a Hyper 212 Evo fan, it's only £25 and should reduce temperatures by approximately 15 degrees celcius! :) The PC itself should cost about £500 however it'll be around £850 including the operating system, monitor, case, keyboard + speakers (I've got a good mouse) and the cooling fan.
