Mine worked well as well! Perfomance was good but I seemed to be getting a little less FPS than the last version. Played for about two hours last night smoothly!

Hello everyone! I'm interested in constructing an ALIVE mission with randomized HVTs and I've heard theres already a script that does this but I have been unable to find it. I was wondering of anyone knows what it is or a substitute for it?

Im having some issues with using this so far, I have the files in my mission folder and I put this addaction["<t color=#FF0000'>Move HVT</t>","grab.sqf",nil,1,false,true,"","((_target distance _this)<2]; on the init field of the unit and I get the option in game but when I select move HVT it doesnt seem to do anything, what am I doing wrong? lol

I have placed an unarmed unit somewhere with a script that I found (forget where). I also just recently saw a HVT script posted on Armaholic or you can probably find it here wight he right search. Alternatively I've also used MCC Sandbox and created missions on the fly with HVT and such.Nice! Thanks for the help bud! Is this the script your using? http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19832

Yup, all the time. You can create any sort of mission yourself around Alive easily enough in the editor etc.Hey bud thanks for the reply! That's kind of the problem lol, limited only by the imaginiation. How have you setup your HVT missions with ALIVE? Do you create it as a task or create a marker and place an unarmed unit there?

Hey guys! This is my first time using LEA and it looks ery promising! Im having an issue (and dont really know how) with adding weapons/equipment from other addons? I see all the vanilla arma 3 stuff in the list but none of the custom stuff. How would I add this stuff? Also whenever I try and connect to the repository it says "failed to connect to the respostiroy". I also have turn off windows firewall and added an exception in my norton

EDIT: Nm for soemr eason it works now, but I was wondering with the extracted and analysed files, do we need to keep the analyzed files and the original mod? im just wondering because it would essentially double the modpack size, also I read that the loadout option whould go away after 5 minutes or when you leave the spawn area but mine is sticking around no matter how much itme passes or where I go?

so whenever i place a military display all of the areas display on the map then keep resetting? any idea why that it?is it every few minutes? youll notice that theres a refresh rate option within military display which tells it how often to reasses the areas

Opendome, int he download you have a readme folder. in that folder are the old grouplink pdf files the mod still works as those files outline. Basically there is "default" initialization. Then there is "module" initialization. default is, well, default. With the modules you get greater control over the behavior of the units under each modules control.I have always used the modules. to set up a basic mission is as follows.
1) open editor
2) Insert module "System"
3) Insert module "Special FX"
4) Insert Player unit
5) Sync Modules "System","Special FX" to Player unit.
6) Place enemy AI unit/group on the map (where ever you want them to be).
7) Sync Enemy AI unit/groupleader to "System" module.
Thats the basic setup. for multiple groups you can use other modules for specific behavior's. also syncing the groups you want to the modules you want.
This mod is mostly for enemy AI. Do not sync your friendly units to the "Custom","Static","Defend" modules. this causes all units to be aware of each other and instantly set to "Combat". And call All reinforcements. Its rather fun actually.... Zerro has mentioned he has a desire to get GL5 initialized on all units instead of just enemy with out them all freakin out. hopefully we can do something like that.
If need be i can post up some basic missions or include them into the next release at least!
I am also working on some new Intros for GL5. There will be a reason to leave -skipIntro off of your launch params.
Thanks for your help bud! When you say defualt does that mean that it defualts to turn everything on and use all features? I was also wondering (since im using it in ALIVE missions) if I place a single opfor unit of the enemy faction can I sync the system module to it and it will utilize GL5 for all opfor units that spawn in ALIVE?

So far so good! Im actually surprised at how well it performs with so much going on (and so many units)! I haven't checked out the reputation system yet but will be getting into that tonight!

1. The Version you currently have is the "old" non HD Version of the mod as this one is not released yet2. The brightness issues with the texture is most likely beeing generated by a missing or outdated SMDI map or RVMAT file, though you are still looking at the "old" files.

First of all, are you using the version released on the previous page HERE?
Did you delete the old version completely first?
If so, the reason the camouflage looks a lot more spaced out is because in the early screenshots I hadn't yet worked on the scaling of the textures.
I believe the new scaling is much more true to life with the actual clothing.
Please, feel free to correct me if you think otherwise.
as for the brightness, im not sure the problem there..
They RVMAT and Normal maps used remove the 'Shine' in the standard skins but shouldn't have made it brighter in game.
For myself the textures are no brighter than expected or wanted.
The only texture that is very bright for me would be the YETI, due to the fact its white.. Get it out of the direct yellow sun of Altis and it looks a lot better.
I have plans for Nomad, I have completed the texture for the camo. However I have noticed that it in itself is a really boring and not a very nice color set, hence placing Banshee in over the top.
But I will eventually be adding nomad as well.

Hey bud no worries! I'm using the newest download on the last page and this is my first time using the mod so I don' think there should be any conflicts. Hmmm that's odd, ughh I wish I could take pictures of it but steams being dumb and not letting me take screen shots doesn't matter waht key I bind it to, what folder to bind it to, or what settings I use) in game and the print screen button just takes a picture of a black screen :(. If I can get it to look like the screenshots you took then I think they are about spot on! When I first started looking at the in game patterns I didn't see your screenshots so thats why I stated some of the possible colour changes but after digging around for awhile I saw your in game screenshots and they look really good (but mine doesn't look like them lol). Oh and by bright I meant the large amounts of white and untextured patches of the highlander pattern Im currently experiencing.

I am beginning to think I did something wrong or I am missing something? The version I have right now doesn't look like the highlander pattern you have (mine is much more sparse with lots of white/empty patches and much less defined). Are there any requirements for this version?

Awesome mod! Thanks for sharing! I just had some questions, the banshee and the highlander patterns seem to be the pretty much the same and the highlander seems a bit bright (little green and seems like it could use more brown, seems to have too much white, I dont know if its video settings or if thats what your going for). I was also wondering if you had plans for a nomad pattern in the works!

I was wondering if you could create a guide/list of how to utilize this mod properly? There seems to be a lot of components and Im having trouble getting some of them to work (eg OPFOR AI features). Im having some difficulty syncing what to what :S Any help would be appreciated!

Performance issue since switching SSD
in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING

Hello everyone,
I've been getting a large performance issues since switching SSDs. I currently have a corasair GT 120 GB and just purchased a Samsung EVO 840 250 GB and have my OS on the corsair ( the one I originally had and installed arma 3 on) and moved my games to the samsung SSD. Since doing that, I noticed that arma 3 takes longer to load, takes longer to get to the multilayer window, and reduced the FPS at the main menu by half (before Id get 300 and now I get around 120-150 at main menu). Does anyone know what could be wrong? Crystal disc says the Samsung health is 100% and the Samsung wizard says everything fine with it. In game I noticed about a 10 fps decrease in missions Ive previously used.
