    Nice looking model. I offered similar but got no response from him. Be nice to see this in game. I know phantom is really looking to do an aliens mission too. I have made a version of lv426 and have models for hadleys hope that just need porting to the game. Pm me if you want to talk more.

    RSO Buildings pack

    Ok, this is very close now I am going to release today/tonight but I am in urgent need of a tester or two that can provide feedback on what may cause issues for people using the buidlings. We have worked heavily on these for the past 3 weeks and eager to get this pack updated. If anyone wants to test for us then send us a pm and I will pass over the link for you to download and report back anything that we may have missed.

    tbh mate, there isn't much going on with discord atm, we are generally floating between that and skype but in the dev channel on discord. If people want to chat r+b on the public chat on our discord server then send us a pm and we will see what we can do for you.
  5. well I will state as heading the project, the very very near future will see a big update coming. We are speeding along with some fixes and getting the doors working. You will have to wait a little longer for the ai pathing to happen on all the builds though. We are psyched that we have gotten this off the ground and made good progress with it. Glad people are also eagerly awaiting the update. CQB fun is coming your way, certainly for PVP.

    Ok, dropship aside for now, I have a full 3D model of Hadley's hope and I have made a test version of Acheron (lv426). Would you like this to be added into the mod as a complete mod? Quite a bit of work is needed for Hadley's hope but it's not impossible to achieve, biggest hurdle is time. I have never done anything with characters yet so making a xenomorph is not my area of expertise I am afraid. Wanted to chat to you via pm about this but thought it be interesting to see other people's opinions.

    aaahh that could be the problem then. Edit, Nope still does the same thing, stalls about 45kph, and dead slow, I mean deeeead slow at descending height. pm'd btw, wanted to chat about something outside the thread.

    thing i was doing was using my mapped button on my hotas, which didn't seem to work???? all the other buttons work except that one. weird! Then I posted here. Then I thought, I haven't used the default key yet, so I realised because I hadn't removed it as a default function, maybe that would work. It does, I'm finding it stalls though at very low speeds and the hover doesn't seem to work like I thought it would. It does work now, don't get me wrong but I thought maybe it could have been a little more powerful. It seems quite weak in its effect as a mode.

    one thing i noticed flkying the dropship is.............no hover mode?? this makes it rather hard to land without wheels. can you apply it to the dropship please?

    OK folks, We are nearing 75% completion towards the next update. We assumed we could get this out by the end of the month, but it looks like there will be a little bit of a wait by about a week or two before we get anything out now. We have a few things to get sorted out properly before we decide if the pack can go out yet with the animated doors. Just to let you know for now. Stay tuned.

    RSO Buildings pack

    If you read the main post about the buildings you will see that this is an issue that will be dealt with at a later. The whole pack is a WIP as we speak. We are close to the next update also which will see all the existing doors animated. Each update will have something added and fixed, so for example, the following update will have ai pathing, and extra doors added, building optimisation and maybe just maybe an extra building or two. Otherwise it will take forever to do in one go and motivation to carry on will cease. The forthcoming update, will include, Roadway lod fixes geolod fixes Shadow lod fixes View lod fixes Door Animation to existing doors File optimisation Ai path demo (h20) All textures will be looked at in time to come. Because 90% of the buildings have textures it is considered not as much a priority as making the buildings functional for gameplay atm. So hang fire of the texture issues atm, we know about them, they will be looked at.

    I'm sure there are a few excited people now. Please be aware that not all the buidlings will be like this in the next update. H20 is the only building completed like this for now. This was a test to see how it worked, how to do it and how it looked. Most of the doors will be done on the buildings though, and the fixes to geos should be sorted out. We are leaving the textures til a later date, as this will take a lot more time to complete.

    RSO is kinda like a Hub for us modders now, one which you have your project/s and release it under RSO Creations. Its your work, you decide what you want to do with it. You have creative control, exception being you are part of RSO Creations and that you are willing to contribute some help towards the project that started the group in the first place. The RSO buildings pack. that's it! If anyone would like to join the group/team, by all means send either me or rebelman or Opteryx a pm and say what you would be keen to help with. The more help we get the faster things will get released. It could be anything from modding, map making, object placement, re-texturing. Let us know and I'm sure we can find slot for you in here somewhere. You don't need years of experience to help just a bit of enthusiasm to see the work released. If you want to learn how to mod, I'm sure we can help you out with that too. Not just on models but map making aswell.

    Hi folks. Sorry for the lack activity this past month or so, some RL situations had the better of us and now things are getting back on track. The wheels are beginning to move again. We have a new member to the team and a new website being made. The original one in all fairness was a bit of an experiment and a placeholder for our projects. But what is being done so far is looking pretty darn good. An update is planned soon for the buildings pack. The misc items are going to get a look in too so they will be brought to life for you all to use. The maps are still being created even though they are slow progress, but there is only so much a small group of guys can do with the work load we have. More to come soon,

    Thats a no no mate! Ya not really supposed to ask those types of things of modders. I know smoke really well and seeing as i haven't heard much from him lately myself i doubt there will be an update coming soon. Not least until he returns more active on the modding front. I think he is more concentrating on making a living. So for now you may just have to play with what you have. Sorry if thats not news you were expecting.

    looking good there matey! I see the rso work has come of good use. Rest assured the buildings will be completed, the next update will have the fire through buildings fixed don't worry. Ai pathing and doors fixed might take a little longer due to some RL things going on in the team atm. But the project is still alive don't worry. Like I said in my pm, we both have maps that can't be completed without the buildings either. So don't worry. I will say though, regarding timescale, i neeeever give an answer 1. due to it being against the rules to ask for such a question and 2, it puts us under pressure to get things out and we don't want to disappoint if we don't get things out. we wanted to get an update out by the end of this month but some serious RL issues have occured for both of us. there will be an update coming though, so your map will be more functional in the near future. cheers Spook
