  1. Can this be used in multiplayer mode the same as map builder?
  2. Through all the updates that arma has had the past six months or so, plus the inactivity of updates to xcam, I've not had any errors in anyway. Just wanted to point that out. People experiencing errors must be installing it wrong or misplacing something. When I launch arma with xcam, all works fine for me and I've not touched anything to do with the mod for quite along time.
  3. if you want to finish it off, give me a shout when you feel confident enough using it. I'm using Buldozer atm only because I can do other things to the map while I use it. Xcam has a real good efficiency for doing the compositions thats why I suggest it. Also I don't know why, but map buildr and 3den seem to import things higher up in the air and not everything gets on to the map. why I could not tell you. But I know xcam works for me witout any issue when it comes to importing the object text file.
  4. sorry dude, but yes the airbase is much better. I'm about halfway through it already. The terrain is flat now also. Have you got your head into xcam at all matey? I saw you make a few question in the xcam thread and wondered if you had got anywhere with it.

  6. A little bit of tech updatery. The heightmap is now flattened to 2 meters above sea level, only to give the waterline a decent look. The waterline on the rivers have all been lined up with the satmap and does look rather good. Not much left to do there. Maybe a small adjoining irigation ditch iirc. But CUP rivers might fix that. Some roads are on the map. Route Mobile is a four lane highway same as the main route through the city itself. There are a couple of roads that navigate around some areas but these will not be populated on alpha. If you saw the clover leaf junction on Benghazi the one on fallujah will look pretty similar. The area of interest for the alpha that rebel has describe has roads applied to it. Mainly asphalt in texture. You will in the future be required to have RSO buildings and CUP as dependencies to use this map. It was suggested by road runner to make the vegetation have a more dusty look about it. If anyone knows how to do this please pm myself or rebel on it. We would like to make it look as authentic as possible. Hopefully we can get this looking great for you all. Stay tuned.
  7. Ai pathing has been put on hold for now. I think there is only the one building I did that has ai pathing. H20 I think?? I implore you to understand, Ai pathing is very very time consuming and as much as you guys are eager for it to be implemented into the pack, I'm afraid you are going to have to wait for it for the time being. We want to get work done on the maps so that things can continue with pace on them. Doing the RSO buildings pack meant that alot of things that were started on before hand got put on the shelf until now. Its been pretty much a full year since I very first got in touch with Rebel about doing that project so, the time has come for us both to focus on something else for now. RSO buildings is a project we deem to be much much bigger than Fallujah and Benghazi as we want it to be a middle eastern pack that can be used across the board. Think of it this way, What state is the middle east region in right now? A mess! so the pack will not only include the featured OPX remakes, but damage models, original buildings for the focused maps and some extra custom made ME buildings too. So there's a lot of work to be thinking about. We have had people come and go with no positive outcome but to leave us both to do the hard work in the end. So please.... I beg you, just be patient with us. There are only two of us working on these massive projects. We will try and keep you updated as best as possible, I do apologise for the long delays in things, there has been a few ups and downs, motivation hits and slaps and some slow progress, but the candlewick is still lit. I will thank you all for your support and again I will apologise for any off hand comments but my past week has not been the best to say the least with what happened to my content, focus is being put on BOF for the time being.
  8. The Mach Loop Hello Arma community, I bring to you my first map release. After learning how to make maps over the past year, I have been inspired from recent visits to this actual location and decided to bring it into game for all the flyboys and helicopter nuts out there. The machloop is a low flying training area used by the armed forces in the UK for extreme low flying maneuvers through valleys and hilly terrain. The area I have used is known as the mach loop due to is locality near Machynlleth in wales. More information can be found here for it.http://machloop.co.uk/ I hope that people enjoy this map, even if you are not a pilot for the game. you will still enjoy weaving your way around the valley and enjoy the scenery. Features: 20x20km 5m cell size 1m resolution satellite map, which also features RAF Valley. RAF Valley is located off the North West coast of Wales on the Isle of Angelsey. RAF Valley is home to the Hawk T1 and T2, which are used as training jets for pilots in the Royal Air Force. This map does not have an abundance of objects on it, as it was primarily built for flying intentions. To keep the FPS high and the view distance far enough, you can get a good feel for the speed. I have been contemplating gradually updating the map and incorperating things like trees and rocks. This will need to be tested before an update is released. The airfield is the only place that has objects atm. Planned update: Autopilot landing config. Airfield lighting and buildings Sat map fix due. I'll see if ya notice that one? Possible full map update of objects. We'll see on this one.   10. It is good news that the map will be available. It it will be available when we see fit. I know rebel said within a month but you never know what might happen. All you can do is watch the boards and wait really. I'm not being Arsey about it, but rather, more realistic.

  12. I gone through the process don't worry, but he did remove it after I spoke to him last night about it. That still doesn't excuse the fact he tried to do what he did. I'm not done with this until I see a solid resolve. He will not get away with it.

    My work with BOF is still on going. But any I make that is created from my end from the start is not being released. My trust in anyone one now has been lost. Eulas mean nothing, only because I personally think not a hard enough approach is taken on the thievery of such people like Xyla. All a Eula does is put an unlocked gate between the author and the community, it is not a solid wall. Thankfully mikero has produced his pbo pro, which gives some added protection but as far as distribution is concerned, there is no way of tracking it. At at the end of the day a Eula creates a trust agreement. Unfortunately for the modder if broken they can potentially lose a product to the gain ( sometimes financially) of the thief. If someone decided to distribute something BIS made they would get the book thrown at them. Modders suffer, thieves squander! Be be a while I think before I trust this community again. I'm not doing this just because of my case, but because it has happened to people I know from the modding community. Thieves sit there and think, I'll just take this, that, oh that too, put that there, change this bit, that's mine now. Is it fuck! If a real hard stance was taken on them and used as an example to warn others then it would eventually cease. But I think it gets brushed under the carpet too many times and people say, "that's how it is". Well, as a result I made my decision for all the reasons above.

    Done that. After getting through to Xyla. He has taken it down. Eulas are in place for a reason and authors do their best to control their content. If people take an absolute disregard to the Eula on the mod or addon why should modders put up with it? ive seen it happen time and time again to other people, now I have succumb to it. I won't stand for it. I'm not letting anyone get away with doing shit like that with my hard work. Now everyone suffers because someone thought they would override an authors decision to redistribute there content. There is no grey area with me.

    Due to a complete disregard of my content and my IP, I have decided to never release another mod to the wider community. I am only going to release my work to very close friends and that is that. I will think long and hard about my work with RSO I may even stop that altogether. I am sick to death of the fucking absolute fuck tards that think that Stealing content and releasing it under their own name is the done thing to do. I tried to contact xyla and talk to him about the workshop release he has managed to achieve. He chose to ban me from his TS before even being a decent person and talking about it. He blatantly has taken a complete disregard for my work and because of this NO ONE is going to see Machloop 2, Benghazi, Belize, Hawk t1, or anything else I decide to make for the game. My modding is now in house only not for distribution at all. Say what you will guys, but Xyla has forced me to make this decision and I pity the rest of you who were looking forward to seeing Machloop 2 which I was going to release next week funnily enough. Only need a few more shapefiles filling in with trees. All I can say is Sorry! and blame Xyla!

  24. Little update. Rebel has begun working on the map again after a long stint on the rso buildings pack. I will be helping him out in the near future with some elevation alterations and object placement. Hopefully some screenshots will appear soon.
