have no implemented the destruction of ammunition when the phalanx has hit the round for a certain amount of hits and will blow it up mid air... testing out on several different motors firing at one location to see if phalanx can take them out without getting "stuck" or "confused" some trouble... but seeing if there are ways to get around it... will post video later tonight

i probably will bring Arma 2 script for launch and such back to arma 3 because it has all the animations and such already done so ill be testing that out... as for size.. its pretty big and TXT does take his modeling seriously everything is up to size, he is great at modeling, i been configing it and i love how it looks (not finish yet with modeling) but its fantastic, but ima let TXT talk about his model just was updating about the guns

it could make sense... but there isnt any type of AI that will fly into a target and destroy itself ?

Sorry for no recent posts... but I have a script running for this... ill post a video up either tomorrow or sometime this weekend... but wanted to update you guys... my script can search for certain guns being fired in the game, and will track the rounds that i wanna track.. then the Phalanx will aim at it and fire at its target at 4000rpm and destroy the round within seconds... hope to release a video soon for a sneak peak...

The model was a WIP to be honest... I have a friend making a newer version (better looking) with way better textures... i released it because just wanted to see what people would think about it to be honest... there will be a version like this... and later on a nice helicopter UAV (hellfire, rocketpod, turret) just like an apache but run through UAV also the model of mine will be out but remade entirely and by this is technically the future arma 3 atleast... -
ill look into that... i have arma 2 cruise missile in (just want it to work properly (view out of the camera in front of the ship ) while the missile comes from the missile bay in the center... ill see if i can make the artillery system work for that thanks

Working on a new model for it (so better texturing can be made) same look just better made model. So textures can be placed properly. Possibly new gun look to make it more futuristic. -
hopefully there will be a cruise missile if i can implement it properly, so cross your fingers

if JTK halo can come... i have a script from arma 2 (probably easy to port to arma 3) that is good for halo jumping and such for making c130 static up at a set height in the air

well does your weapon fire... in your model.cfg do you inherit zasleh ? i think that helps it appear and disapear -
Hey guys im working on a C-RAM and... im trying to have the turret automatically lock onto a target its aiming at without haveing to press tab to lock... because my AI is able to aim at the target and follow the target... but unable to "fire"... he can see the target because he is able to say "enemy helicopter (how far away)", even when i tell him to fire at a specific target or tell him to engage or open fire... he still wont fire ?

reason i dont target the artillery because i dont know if all or any artillery ammo have a geometry lod ? and if it is its such a small object just making it easier since AI isnt 100% accurate i tried doing the object below... but when it drops downwards it collides because the object collides with it some how idk how... but ya it does ima move it to the left and see if that works and if the object is destroyed then delete the artillery see how that goes... but as for the geometry how can i make it work properly like can i make the object like static or an object in game so it doesnt require any/little amount of coding so its simple (i jsut tried puting a house config inside of my static config and i guess i cant mix them ? like no errors... just my addon wont show up in the game for some reason ??? example class CfgVehicles { class static; class alex_phalanx : static { bla bla bla }; class house; class alex_house : house { bla bla bla }; };

I GOT IT TO FIRE!!!! it follows its target and fires at it.... only problem is a way for it to take damage... i have an object on the bullet thats being tracked (without geo lod/fire lod) because if there is one it collides with the ammo being trackked causing it to delete the ammo / destroy it causing the target unable to follow the ammo any more since it doesnt exist basically.... how can i make it be able to take damage from the phalanx bullets but not the ammo ??? because i want the bullets from the phalanx to damage it so it blows the ammo... but the ammo blows up when i place the object at the position of the bullet... and cant figure out how to make this work

how can you make it lead it properly ? also when i just make a trigger with fire a1 fire "at_phalanx_autocannon_35mm"; and just trigger that one through radio it doesn't fire ?

yea i had the same problem when i was puting a tracer on my UAV... you want a yellow tracer ? what ammo you want ? did you use this Sh_120mm_HE_Tracer_Yellow ?

There will be a new release of this addon... fixing the sensitivity and ammo used....question about the sensitivity of my uav... how do i lower the sensitivity of the "x"/"c" button values... usually its like rudder or something but can't find any info on this if anyone can help that would help alot because its on extreme levels for some reason! -
made a script / mod that searches for weapons firing... and my phalanx can follow the ammo that is fired ... it will follow but will not fire is there any type of script made that can make a person fire at an object or a way to pull a variable from a clientside init... and be able to implement it into the unit so it can fire at it in some sort of way... or a command to fire... i have tried dofire, commandfire... dotarget works so it follows it... cant find out how to force it to fire at it ... (i place an object (a sphere) on the ammo and i cant make it fire at the object the class is a target base for the sphere)

can you add the artillery computer to all items in this addon that requires it... because it would help alot to be honest

This is my first Addon that will be fully finished, and have more on the way. This is a U.A.V. with a .5 cal machine gun and a 5. cal sniper "weapon" on the base on this U.A.V., I have seen some games with U.A.V's with laser designators, then hellfire missiles, then laser guided bombs, and then one day saw something similar to a U.A.V with a machine gun turret.... so I thought why not have this in Arma 3? This is the future, so why not have Arial marksmen? This is still a W.I.P. but will be releasing soon, for some input from the community.... just looking for someone to make textures... cause as you will see... ok so i tried placing enemy units (people) and it does target them... and destroys them lol.... works perfectly against any air unit... working on the artillery/rocket/missile/tank rounds

I have made a script, that can make any vehicle into a static vehicle (you can make it be at 2,000 ft, ramps down, static, so that you can do halo jumps or start a mission inside of the plane cargo bay and be able to have guns in there and then run out the back -
OK new issue... if anyone can help me set up a script that pulls bullets that are fired (mainly missiles or artillery/tank ammo) and be able to pull the position of it and send it to the phalanx ? so the phalanx can target it ? im so poor in this and so lost of how to even get the info of a bullet from the game???
