    How in the HELL did this game get approved for release and how is it possible that the most important part of this game--the carrier AI--is broken?

    All I am going to say is that this is truly unfortunate and for those hoping/expecting the Devs to "fix" it...well it's not going to happen...at least not on Xbox with dismal sales. Many major problems since the beta began have remained and have not improved at all.

    This game is getting absolutely SLAMMED from many sites (and rightly so) and it won't sell for shit.....especially when outlets like Official Xbox Monthly gives it a 3.5/10 and rips it for the broken mess that it is. The ones that have given it a good score pretty much have a comments section full of unhappy people that have played the game and know better. Besides the AI, the controls on XBOX are AWFUL!!

    Don't waste your money like I did on this abomination. Really is too bad because this game could have been awesome instead of a failure.

    Alternative opinion - Whilst I agree the carrier AI isn't the best at the moment, the xbox controls are fine. I'm not having any problems controlling movement/units/supplies and I'm enjoying the game. Although it has it's problems, it is far from broken or a mess.

    I know there are updates, but they usually are far in between. Though I guess times are changing and it doesn't cost anything to ask. But it's rare enough to get proper patches for PC games if they are released in a less-than-optimal state, or address some niche audience. (however, BI has kind of a special status here because their products have a very long shelf life)

    I can honestly say, after having my xbox since release, I have only had a problem with 1 game not getting updates, and that was OP:Flash Dragon Rising. Codemasters kind of dug a grave for that, wayyy too fast! I would honestly prefer to have a PC, but I don't have the luxury of that at the moment, so the box will do ok for me now.

    To add to that, BI have done a great job on the console command input. Again, this would be easier on PC, but they have handled it well, and it's quite easy to use!

    Thanks for the support, we are always happy when our players enjoy the games we make. I am also hoping modders will make some terrific modifications for the game, hence our efforts to make that as easy as possible.

    Add another one to that player total! Played the original so much when I was very young, and although I didn't get it, I loved watching the Mantas and Walrus undocking/docking. I started to get it when I grew up a bit, and worked on tactics and stuff. This remake has all the charm of the original, with loads more tactical depth. Just spent 3 hours trying to execute a perfect beach landing. Awesome stuff guys. This will have me hooked for ages, and I'm glad I'm old enough to appreciate it!

    Hope you guys don't mind if I start a thread to keep all XBOX related info and questions in one place.

    First of all:

    What is the status of an update or patch for the XBOX version....or will there even be one?

    Also, anyone out there played this on XBOX yet and if so how does it play? And how does it compare to the PC version as far as bugs/problems, etc...?

    What the HELL? The game was supposed to be out yesterday in the US on XBOX and now, suddenly GameStop is telling me that it won't be out until the 19th? What kind of a communication fail is this? According here to BI the game is available now....I'm confused!

    Hi,

    I am from UK and it's been available for a few days now. It runs smooth, obviously not as graphically advanced as PC would be, but it sure looks nice enough! Only issues I have found so far, and this is all over forums for both versions, and that's the Walrus pathfinding. You have to manage it more than you should, but other than that, it's great. I am a fan of the original, and played it to death in my childhood!

    To the PC guy above - We do get game updates, you know? Look at Fallout: New Vegas, it's (barely) playable now! :p
