    Unfortunately not. We were not able to get the exact notebook model so we bought the same specs from Toshiba (AMD combined with Intel on-board) and it works fine.

    It seems to be related to certain producer drivers. We are trying to get the exact specs hardware to reproduce this problem.

    in an attempt to recreate this error did you go into the bios to set the switchable graphics settings from dynamic to fixed. switchable graphics was a new feature to swap graphics card on the fly when the program running had a low frame rate, this would also save power on the low impact programs that didn't require much graphics.

    The problem is that most programs won't trade up to the good card so it is necessary to just leave the bios set to fixed which just uses the good card all the time, only two programs that i am aware of will not play with this setup and they are this game, and minecraft.

    Hey guys, please write your computer specs, without that info we cannot really help. I've not encountered this before myself, so any additional info would help a lot.

    I have a DV7 17 inch laptop from hp. Specs:

    i7 2.4 gig quad core processor

    8 gigs of ram

    Radeon HD 7690 XT (2 gigs of ram)

    the graphics card this game boots on is the Intel® HD Graphics Family but it is way laggy even on minimum settings on the main menu and just not playable by my standards.

    If you want more spec info just let me know and i can send dxdiag info

    PS: I really want to get started on this game, i am patient and will play around all those nasty bugs i am reading about on the Steam hub i just won't play if i cant get the game to run smoothly
