    Advanced Helicopter FDM Feedback

I guess what I meant to ask was, why were the values not configured to match one another?

    Advanced Helicopter FDM Feedback

Why does the fuel consumption rate differ between the advanced and standard flight models?

    Sweet markers system

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, markers placed in Side will stay permanently throughout the week (we keep the mission up on the server during the week and take it down on Fridays), but any markers placed that aren't in Side will disappear?

    Advanced Helicopter FDM Feedback

I did this by hovering in the air at ~50m, but I flew around in the hummingbird for the full ~40 minutes and there was no difference in how long the fuel lasted. My assumption is that fuel will decrease at a pre-defined rate, hence the "fuelConsumptionRate = x" value in the vehicle configs.

Okay. As requested, here is a video of the issue:

    Advanced Helicopter FDM Feedback

After doing a bit of testing, I've noticed that the fuel consumption rate for the advanced flight model differs from that of the standard flight model quite substantially (for the NATO choppers, at least). Is there supposed to be such a big difference between the two? If so, why? Quick picture of what I recorded: http://prntscr.com/58v2jc (There's a typo in the screenshot. SFM = Standard Flight Model, not Advanced Flight Model.)

I will try to get a video of the issue posted on Thursday or Friday. Thank you.

    Sweet markers system

My group has recently started using this mod on our server, but we've run into an issue where markers we place on our mission (which is a mission we leave up for the duration of the week) seem to disappear. Has anybody else experienced similar issues or would know how to fix this issue so that we can continue to use the mod?

    Sling Loading Feedback

Is the returned value in kg?
  13. Hello all, I've recently noticed a problem with trying to use the Ctrl+P, Ctrl+M, and Ctrl+TAB key combinations. For some reason, the stable branch of the game won't allow me to use these three key combinations. If I switch the the devbranch then I can use them just fine. This happens when I'm running Arma 3 with and without mods. Has anybody else experienced this issue before and would know how to fix it, or would be able to tell me where to start as far as figuring out what the issue is? Thanks.
  14. Moveingunner was working for me. However, it seems that the loadmaster has his head on backwards (camera is facing the front when you're in it instead of the back like it should).

    Sling Loading Feedback

I was having a similar issue when trying to use the game updater. What I ended up doing was downloading the dev branch using my laptop, transferring it over to my desktop, renaming the folder to Arma 3 [development], and using the Arma3GU.exe to run the dev branch. More work than it should be, but it seems the game updater is somewhat broken (for me at least). I'm sure there's an easier way of doing it, but that's what I did.

Windows File Caching and More RAM

Ahh ok. Well, either way it seems assets are being cached into the page file, which can cause the game to run slow when it needs assets that aren't yet loaded into RAM. I suppose a way around this would be to move the page file onto a RAM disk, but I'm not sure if that would affect the stability of anything. Also, since the page file gets loaded before the RAMdisk would, the page file would have to be created everytime the computer booted back up.

Windows File Caching and More RAM

From my understanding, ARMA only loads assets in RAM when it needs them, and doesn't cache to RAM. I do believe it stores assets in the page file and loads them into RAM when they are needed. I could be wrong, but I THINK that's how it is.

Sounds great. I suppose that video won't be necessary now?

Sometimes they do need CPR, sometimes they don't. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong, so I'll get a video up in the next day or two.

From what I understand, if a unit has lost a lot of blood, giving them saline should raise the unit's blood pressure right? For me, when a unit has lost a lot of blood, giving them saline doesn't seem to have any effect, regardless of how much I give them. The same can be said about using both blood and plasma as well. Is this bugged, or am I just not doing something correctly?

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

You have to have everybody ready up before you deploy the rope (I believe the scroll wheel option is "choose descent rope"). The issue my group has been having is that the rope will often get cut while somebody is fastroping (but not because the helicopter moved too much, or because the pilot manually cut it). I think it might be a lag issue? We also have has issues with being injured from fast roping (hitting the ground too hard I suppose). There has also been a few instances where one person would just be thrown from the helicopter when the rope descent was started, and sometimes some people in the helicopter are never given the option to ready up. Personally, I'd like to know how to stop the ropes from automatically cutting when it thinks everyone has finished fast roping, and just leave it to the pilot to cut.

Is not being able to stop CPR intended?
  23. About Us We play the game realistically, using formations, small unit tactics, game mods, and more to augment play. We love realism, and we do our scheduled weekend ops "in character" and in an ongoing campaign if we get it rolling again. However, we aren't true milsim - that is, out of game, and on fun ops we're far less serious. Check out our mashup video Welcome to Echo Company and you'll learn that really quickly :D This is a game, and we're here to have fun! Outside of the campaign(s), we primarily do co-op matches, MOUT exercises, and occasional Pub games or TvTs. We typically play in the standard ArmA 3 2030's setting, with A3 vehicles and weapons. Unit History Echo Company was formerly an ArmA 2 small infantry unit that ran for a couple of years, at its core a close knit group of friends from a previous clan. We've left ArmA 2 in the last year and experimented with starting the unit again as an ArmA 3 unit, as well as having joined and worked with several other units. However, we've decided to venture out on our own and recreate our squad, as we loved our unique play style and small unit bond. We play primarily as a regular US Army infantry/Ranger unit. What We Do We are currently midway through a detailed, story driven campaign. Our goal in recruiting is to find quality personnel to fill that squad out, and we intend to go no larger than a two to three squad platoon, maximum, probably not even that. We take pride in working well together, and that doesn't happen in large units with mass personnel issues! How We Do It We are always looking for new recruits. We don't believe in extensive training, line drilling, etc. It is a game, however seriously we play it. On the other hand, we do play in a realistic fashion on the field, and we expect others to do so as well when joining us. In-mission, behave with decorum. Listen to your leaders. Keep criticisms to yourself until after. Stay with your team. We use basic formations, radio etiquette, and realistic loadouts for the tasks at hand. We do training when we need it for a specific topic (i.e. "Guys, we really need to work on building clearing"), and the rest of the time, we do missions and MOUT exercises to practice skills, instead of drilling. Out of game, we have no hooah-yessir-nossir mentality. Ranks, positions, and skill don't matter much when just hanging out, and we like it that way. Recruiting We are specifically looking for IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) crew members (A driver and a gunner). They need to be OK with running infantry ops with us sometimes, but ready to, along with their commander, provide both transport and IFV support to ground infantry and interact with them to complete objectives. We have not yet implemented the IFV element, however, so this would require some discussion with candidates. We’re always on the lookout for shooters. We’re in the market for any skilled personnel we come across to fill our second squad! Minimum Requirements - Age of 18 or higher please. - Teamspeak 3, working microphone, legal copy of ArmA 3 - Ability to typically make 9pm EST Friday events and similar times for other nights. - Come talk to us! 24. Was wondering if anyone had any reccommendations for an upgrade from and AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor. I was looking on NewEgg and they only have one Phenom II for sale and I wasn't sure if it was worth upgrading to that because I'd have to buy a new motherboard along with it. I mainly use my computer for Video games (obviously) and Music editing for my band (recording, mixing, and mastering songs). I was looking to get an FX series processor but I've heard they're not worth buying, so...
