    AI Improvement

My concern is better voice acting to go with their improvements.
  3. Hey everyone, Alright how do I begin. I have ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead purchased on steam, purely because I wanted to play DayZ (I'm surely not going to be the first). I went through the procedure of aquiring SixUpdater etc, installing files, replacing stuff. It was a month or two ago from this date so I honestly can't provide you with a clear description on the process I undertook, but in the end I got DayZ working. After two weeks I got bored of it, and prefered base/vanilla ArmA 2: OA much more due to its.. well it's just amazing. Now for some reason the campaigns don't work while DayZ is installed, so I figured; easy fix, just uninstall Dayz. The developer for DayZ has gone through a lot of effort to manage the installation process, but not the uninstallation process. There is no executable file associated with the safe removal of the mod, so I ended up googling and coming up with the solution of developing the @DayZ folder. I did so, and then tried to play vanilla ArmA again. Without any result, it continues to give me a bug to do this day associated with the campaign name 'str.ew1.chernarus' (I'll include an illustration of my progress through screenshots to reveal what I'm actually doing). If I attempt to select a different campaign, for example, Operation Arrowhead, I can click it, then click 'Continue', but it'll automatically send me to 'EW', and to 'str_ew1.Chernarus'. I cannot even load that campaign because it gives me the error, 'error in campaign structure'. So I'm at a loss for every single thing I try to do with ArmA at this point. Sucks. I figured it may have been due to beta mod, or the beta expansion, but I honestly have no idea at this point. Google hasn't cleared up anything with me regarding this issue so I feel like I'm the unluckiest person in the world. Here are the screenshots associated to my progression, and how it continues to be mean to me: 1. The game loads fine, I click Campaign. http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac2/itstravissss/1-4.jpg (104 kB) 2. Upon entering the Campaign menu, the game automatically sets me to 'EW' for me to continue. http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac2/itstravissss/2-4.jpg (117 kB) 3. I click Operation Arrowhead, and press continue. http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac2/itstravissss/3-3.jpg (122 kB) 4. Upon clicking continue, it sends me into the 'EW' menu. http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac2/itstravissss/4-2.jpg (109 kB) 5. And when attempting to load it (which is the only thing I can physically do), I get the error. I've reinstalled Arma 2:OA multiple times without any result. If someone gives me the guidance I need to fix this problem I'll forever be in your debt. Regards, Travis.

ArmA 2 now, or wait for ArmA 3?

I think all the ArmA's are great. It's good to have all of them if you want some variety, because they all have different missions. They're all fun, and all worth playing. :)
