    Sure, it would without doubt be a nice and welcome addition, VSB2 is however developed by another team and they don't really toss ideas between the teams afaik, how unfortunate that might be.

    Yeah I must say that I44 if anything has the best weapon resting system out of the ArmA 2 modding community. It's automatic and dynamic.

    ARMA 3 - still unrealistic optics

    Yeah. ArmA 3 could at the very least use Project Reality style sights for their optics, and in fact there is already a mod that gives us very similar optics. Another mod (which is currently also WIP) by Hogthar brings 3D zoomed in ACOGs and other scopes, and they function like in Battlefield 3. Watch out for the volume in this one, I could only find a video example of some kid using it. :) 04:56 and forward. http://youtu.be/uhhLHqKUx3k?t=4m56s Another issue when it comes to scopes is the way red dot sights work as previously mentioned. They currently simply are red dots put a few centimeters behind the glass, which makes them very unrealistic. There is a mod that puts the red dot several meters behind the glass which technically fixes the issue, but the dot itself still shows even when you aren't looking down the sights.

  12. Grymt! Would it be possible to have the Carl Gustav and KSP58 together as a separate download? I'd love the ability to add a smaller mod to our preset to add some Swedish goodness without having to download the entire thing, and I'd be thankful if I could simple call for the classnames.
  13. You did a great job with this. I really like what you made out of the TrackIR scope thing you made a while ago. It's fluid and I love the addition of a userconfig file! :) I upped the recoil force and the head tracking sway a bit to suit my needs. There is just one bug that I found when using it. I'm om a 1920 x 1080 monitor and when I sway my mouse I see the edges of the black background piece not being able to keep up with my movements. I simply changed HORDE_TIR_mousespeed_max_threshold = 3; from 4 and it didn't cause the problem anymore. I'm also curious about how hard it would be for you to edit the background of the scope? Seeing ArmA is a military simulator, and soldiers are trained to use both eyes while using scopes you could explore ways to implement some situational awareness. This has always been a gripe of mine with how ArmA does RCO's and other scopes. One simple option would be to let people be able to change the opacity of the black background to at least 80% visibility. Another would be to get rid of the black background completely, and instead add post processing effects like blur or motion blur to cover the surrounding part of the scope. This would still simulate focusing on what's going on inside the scope while keeping some situational awareness, say if a large vehicle or squad is right outside of your field of view. With this solution you could add simple blurry parts to distinguish various scopes from one another, say a knob on the top and right side for scopes on sniper rifles. I made a really simple concept image to show what I'm talking about. I'm probably getting ahead of myself, so I'll just say thanks for the mod and keep up the good work!

The current older ones currently work fine for me and other members in my community, but since it really is the community that keeps the mods alive by playing them and creating content for them with maps and so on, it would always serve for the better to have the latest classlists available, or at least updating them if there has been a big update. I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoy Band of Brothers, so I took the time to recreate an M1 Garand sound to use in I44. :) I might make more and release them later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4AmRyWtvSg&feature=youtu.be

    You even included an option for ACE users to disable the random "Ouch, Oof!" when you're hurt! That's certainly great for mine and many other communities that play with ACRE and can tell others when they are hurt anyway. I'm gonna post these again, some sounds MIGHT be outdated since this was during the inhouse beta test, but It'll certainly get peoples interest.     The video was a response to people saying that the AK bolt sound should sound more metallic unlike in current 1.5, and the video shows that it doesn't need to, but it depends on the model. I was arguing for Jarheads sake all along lel xD

    Another sound mod developer for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. made this video showing AK sounds from 0, 3, 20 and 200 meters. This is a modern 5.45 firearm though and an older ak-47 might have a different bolt sound. So while JSRS might not currently have a 100% authentic sound, the real deal might not sound particularly metallic.

    Here's a rather intense video showing an infantry firefight in COOP against AI opponents. The various distant gun sounds can be heard all over the place, as well as FPS gun sounds and new rocket trail sounds from the many RPGs.
