Help with Altis Life Server Setup.

Its a relatively simple setup, however you should note that these life servers can be very resource demanding if you plan on having lots of users connected at once. I wouldn't mind helping, but I'm currently at work.

Typical internet kid resorting to name calling because people won't spoon feed him the answer. It's easy to sit back and get snarky with us, when you won't even lift a finger to do the smallest amount of research by using the worlds greatest tool "GOOGLE". "Contacting player information..." is a seriously generic error, and I'm betting if you did a little bit of freaking googling you would find out that the specific C# error you posted earlier is directly tied to .dll file issues (which by the way, is explained in all the documentation, if you bothered to read it.) and then you'd know that "Hey maybe I should copy/move those .dll files to my ARMA2NET folder to see if that's the problem." Instead you come here and act like a little prick to get your way nevermind that fact that the author said he wasn't supporting any MySQL issues.

This. Tonic and the good people who made Arma2NETMySQL have made all information available to get your server running. He even goes so far to say that you need at least "elementary" database administration knowledge. EDIT: Dig deeper, check all of your log files. RPT files aren't the ONLY thing that outputs error messages. Check your Arma2NETMySQL log files. Only by digging deeper into log files will you find the root cause of your issue. The error looks like you didn't setup MySQL right and it has no information on where to send/store your player data. Like I said though, you won't know until you read the other logs and find the root error that's causing your problem.

    [TvT/FFA/CO-40] Dynamic Zombie Sandbox

Nice! That mousepad is awesome! To answer your previous question regarding the stable settings with the dedicated server. I'm using the latest beta patch from BI, I turned weather to CLEAR (DayZ rain would slow down FPS), 10 Zombies per KM, Zombies only in towns, Logistics OFF, and if I can think of anything else i'll let you know. Was getting really good FPS (around 50) just driving around. I finally made it to elektro and like 40 zombies spawned and the FPS dropped down to 18-21 FPS. But there were A TON of zombies attacking me.

Testing Status update: So I was able to get the server stable. I grabbed the latest server beta revisions from the BI website and was able to get the server running fairly smooth while driving around and having zombies/weapons/cars spawn. The bad news is, I think weapons that are lying on the ground are broken atm. 100% of the time I try to pickup a weapon, I get an empty inventory.

Looks like it might be an ARMA Issue... I was looking at the streamer and the server is consistently getting spammed with these warning messages I'm also getting some object errors as well. Not knowing an awful lot about ARMA II it leads me to believe that combined operations wasn't installed right on the server then? You've already helped me a bunch, I'm terribly sorry as this is probably something that is just a quick fix, but I can't seem to locate the core problem.

    [TvT/FFA/CO-40] Dynamic Zombie Sandbox

Thanks a bunch Craig! I just had a couple questions for you, if you don't mind. I'm trying to figure out the best optimization for the dedicated server I'm running. It seems that the server load FPS idles at 49-50 for about 5 minutes after the server starts the zombie mission. From then on it sits at anywhere from 1-12 FPS. I'm curious if you have any suggestions for load balancing? I really enjoy this mod, but I think I'm scaring away people as they tend to start experiencing severe FPS lag when trying to play. I didn't know if this was simply a server side setting or if the host I purchased from doesn't have the hardware to handle this. I seem to be able to run ARMEX fairly well with no drop in FPS, but I know that its not spawning zombies/weapons/vehicles as well. Once again, thanks for such an awesome mod!

Just a heads up, I've been trying to eliminate FPS lag on the server, so I've been messing with quite a few settings, but sometimes I get errors such as this when trying to re-launch the mission after a restart.

Disregard this. I'm a complete idiot.

    [TvT/FFA/CO-40] Dynamic Zombie Sandbox

Hello, I recently purchased a dedicated server to try and run this mission as well as some Co-op missions I wanted to play with friends. However, I'm having an issue when I go to vote for the Dynamic map. After the countdown has been initiated and it gets to 0, the game just sits there. Am I not waiting long enough or is there a hangup? I ran this on a local dedicated server and found it to work out just great. Has anyone had this issue with getting the map to start?
