Sliders sound good to me. But why not have 2 default FOV's one for vehicle and one for on foot. In the heat of things I always forget to double tap -. I use freetrack sometimes especially for flying... so not so much of a problem.

It can only be a good thing though delaying the Alpha release, annoying as it is. The better the Alpha the better the onward game improvements and public interest!
