  1. I was playing ARMA 2 when I noticed that something was different, large white patches appeared on the ground underneath me. I have been playing ARMA 2 for quite a while on this machine and the problem popped up yesterday. I updated my drivers to see if that would fix it, it didn't, and I can't think of any hardware changes I made recently which could cause the problem My specs are as follows: NVIDA GT640m 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card Intel i7 3615QM 3.1GHz CPU 8GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM Here is an example: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=129500678 It only appears on the ground underneath and around my player, everything else looks fine. I have BAF, PMC and ACR and have tried both the beta patch and the stable patch. Also if anyone could help with another problem I'm having (to save making two threads) then that would be great too - My player always appears really low res, like I'm using the lite versions of the DLC, until I zoom in by holding the right mouse button. It goes back to the low res version when I stop zooming in. It happens at random, sometimes the player will be detailed and sometimes it will be low res. I've tried everything but can't find a solution. My texture settings are on high, so they shouldn't look like a blurry mess.
  2. No, it's there, I just assumed it was irrelevant. 3D_Performance=46875;
  3. Yeah, tried vanilla and with mods, still the same. Beta and stable patch too.
  4. I changed my settings accordingly and no differences. The white patches still appear and my character's detail randomly switches in and out of high and extremely low detail. AI characters stay like they should be, but my player keeps messing up.
  5. Resolution_Bpp=32; Resolution_W=1600; Resolution_H=900; refresh=60; winX=16; winY=32; winW=800; winH=600; winDefW=800; winDefH=600; Render_W=1600; Render_H=900; FSAA=1; postFX=1; GPU_MaxFramesAhead=2; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=2; HDRPrecision=8; lastDeviceId=""; localVRAM=268435456; nonlocalVRAM=1711276032; vsync=0; AToC=6; PPAA=2; PPAA_Level=2; Windowed=0; Texture and model quality is on high. And what do you mean by VD?
  6. I have ARMA 2 and OA, I ran ARMA 2 then ran OA. Seeing as there's no "launch combined operations" option anymore, I assumed it would automatically do it. Is there something different I have to do?
  7. --------------------------- ArmA 2 OA --------------------------- Addon 'cba_a2_xeh' requires addon 'CATracked2_AAV' --------------------------- OK --------------------------- I get this whenever I try and launch ARMA 2 with a mod installed. It works fine with just the CBA mods but when I add another mod it does this and the mod I installed refuses to work. (In this case, it's the B52 mod - But it happens with all the other mods too, no matter if it's in a modfolder or not)
  8. Every time I use the sights on a weapon, after I zoom back out of it all my textures appear as low quality, even though my setting is set to very high. I have to set it to low and back to very high for my textures to sort themselves out. This is really annoying as it is completely distracting me from the game having to pause and reset my settings every time I use the sights on my weapon. Example situation: Texture quality is set to very high, ingame appearance is in accordance I see an enemy and aim down the sights I kill the enemy I zoom back out I notice all my textures are bad quality Setting is still set to Very High, although the ingame appearance is at low Set texture quality to low and back to Very High, ingame apperance is now fixed I have to do this every time I use the sights. Specs: AMD Radeon HD6870 1GB GDDR5 Video Card 8GB DDR3 1600Mz RAM AMD Phenom II x6 2.8GHz Processor
  9. I bought ARMA II OA and the BAF DLC today. Now I see that I can mount ARMA II vanilla content into OA. I don't like the campaign of ARMA II vanilla, I just want the content in OA. Is it possible to use ARMA II Free to mount the content instead of buying a whole game just for the vehicles, etc? I searched and don't think this has been posted before, but apologies if it has been.

    ARMA II Free and Arma II OA

    So if I want my models to look like the rest of my models I have to purchase the game? Noted, although slightly annoying as MP games will be a mixture of very high texture and model quality and some blocky things. I guess I'll buy it, even if just for the textures.
