I'm very interested in developing mods and such for Arma 2 and OA, does anyone know of a tutorial or anything?

I am looking for a mod/script/whatever to randomly spawn loot around a map. My friends and I want to play a deathmatch style game and rather than one of us place items we want to do randomly spawned items. Any idea?

I got ArmA 2: CO yesterday on Amazon and for some reason whenever I attempt to join a server I get the "Connecting failed" message. I've tried port forwarding, although I'm a complete noob and have probably done it very wrong, I've also tried the "netsh winsock reset" thing, I've also tried disabling both my router firewall and my PCs firewall. Any suggestions?

I bought ArmA 2 on Amazon yesterday, downloaded and installed it but I kept getting "Connecting failed", so when I tried to reinstall it and load Operation Arrowhead it says "Operation Arrowhead has stopped responding" before it even loads. Any suggestions? I hope they decide to go more in the direction of Day Z, mil sims are fun but are too niche IMO, but I guess that's why they add mod support
