  1. About Us:

We are a tactical realism and military simulation unit for ARMA 3, but with a twist - we run our unit as a fictional military force, with our own organization, rank structure, and customs based off of several Western Militaries.

We utilize AAF units and vehicles and a mix of West and East weapons.

    Why Fictional?:

RAMR was created with the intention of creating a new style of unit while preserving the same level of realism found in the best ARMA Military Simulation and Realism groups. We preserve the realism of a military unit, but have more creative freedom and opportunities to make interesting advancements to our unit.

  4. 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment

    United States Army

    ARMA II Realism Unit

    1) About the 1st Ranger Battalion

The First Ranger Battalion prides itself on being one of the best when it comes to dedicated ARMA 2 Realism. Stretching back to mid-2011, the 1st Ranger Battalion has been around for a decent stretch of time now, but it has undergone a good amount of changes. Realism, fun, and respect to the real US Army Rangers has become the number-one priority of the 1st RB. We have imposed an age limit, 16 and up, and our members are held to more strict requirements of dedication and skill than most units. The 1st RB is not a clan, we are a unit, a team, and a deadly combat force.

    2) Opportunities in the 1st RB

There are a myriad of skills and jobs within the 1st Ranger Battalion that must be filled. Foremost among these are -

[-]11B Infantryman - the backbone of the army, the infantryman is the primary MOS of the 1st Ranger Battalion. 95% of recruits will be placed in an infantry-related assignment.

[-]11C Indirect Fire - mortarmen are the best friends of the infantry. Mortarmen are usually as close to the frontlines as the infantry, providing close and accurate fire support onto several different targets in close succession. Mortar team is a precision skill, and there is a large amount of time dedicated by mortar teams to make sure they are as accurate and deadly as possible.

[-]68W Combat Medic - combat medics are quite truly some of the most useful members of the 1st RB. Combat Medics are the angels on the ground for the 1st Rangers - without 68W's, the battalion would be totally ineffective.

[-]12B Combat Engineer - combat engineers (EOD) are probably the most skilled members of the 1st RB. Combat Engineers seek and destroy enemy munitions, weapons, and also build bases, outposts, and anything else needed at the time. They're the most diverse part of the 1st RB.

2.1) Most Frequently Asked Question about MOS's

    Q. Why aren't there any aviation MOS's?!

    A. As a Realism Unit, the 1st Ranger Battalion emulates the US Army 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. The real life 1-75th doesn't have aviation assets, they call in support from the 160th Special Operations Air Regiment or nearby Army/Air Force/Marine aircraft. However, we may eventually add a 160th Company to our unit, to satisfy our needs as a unit. It is as of yet undecided.

    3) Requirements to join the 1st Ranger Battalion

-At least 16 years of age

    -Must have a working microphone

-Must be mature and intelligent, to a certain degree

-Must pass the 1st RB "Army Service Readiness Exam"

-Must be willing to work as a team with other players

-Must be willing to accept orders from a superior

    -MUST be willing to learn

-Must own ArmA 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead (otherwise known as Combined Operations)

Potential Recruits under the age of 16 must go through the Cadet Course if they wish to join the 1st Ranger Battalion. The idea of the Cadet Course is explained below.

"The Cadet system was adopted shortly after the 1st RB was conceived because it gives younger players with the 1st RB to feel like part of the unit and undergo our trainings (short of AIT and Ranger School). These are members age 15 and lower. The Cadet system enables them to play with the unit in most minor operations, even private operations, and it also gives them a chance to prove themselves mature enough to become an official member of the 1st Ranger Battalion. Cadets first undergo the ASRE test, then Basic Combat Training with a Recruit class. Once they have completed BCT, Cadets are evaluated by Drill Sergeants and Recruiters, and if they are determined fit to join the 1st RB, they will move into the Applicant phase while their application is processed."
