    Hi guys Im having trouble getting respawn = "instant" to work properly, or maybe im just not sure how it is supposed to work.

    This is basically the description.ext file contents;

    respawn = "INSTANT";
respawndelay = "30";

    The first time one of us die the respawn counter works fine but every time thereafter there is no countdown just instant respawn.

    I am looking for a respawn mechanism similar to that of "escape from stratis" mission where if a player dies they will be on a respawn timer before respawning at their point of death.

    Or is this done in another way?

    Can someone point me in the right direction for finding a list of vehicles and how much space they have to store items?

    Im currently trying to stock up a UAZ and stuff all of a sudden seems to just be falling out the back.

    Im guessing its cos theres no room left.or could it be a bug?

    I have bought arma 2 through steam and OA I have standalone(non steam).

    I added to steam as non steam game so i could have overlay making it easier to chat with mates n stuff without having to alttab all the time.

    Is it possible to set launch parameter -cpuCount=4 in steam? I couldnt find an option for this anywhere.

    Hey I need some help Ive lost my action menu.

    This happened after I done steam file integrity check.

    Its the only thing that happened between having the action menu then not having it.

    Ive tried to launch the game via shortcut.via steam.directly from exe.from arma launcher and from 6 updater and still no luck,

    I have the action menu in single player but not multiplayer.

    Have yet to test if ace action key works

    I have played the dayz mod. Although i like it I also like more squad/team based play.

    There are plenty of servers that run the mission "Insurgency", which I quite enjoy. Most of the time, I seem to get in with a good group of guys with microphones and lots of teamwork. I was playing last night, and the insurgents managed to pin us down in a compound. We called for backup, but our backup was killed by an RPG just near the compound. We all ended up dying. :D

    As for mods, ACE seems to be a popular mod, but it makes ArmA about 2x more complicated than it already is. It may be confusing for some new people. Armaholic is a great site dedicated to the ArmA series, it's been around since the introduction of ArmA: Armed Assault back in 2006 and has been my primary user-made content site since.

    Yes I agree arma is rather complicated lol but Im picking it up ok i think

    Hey Ive recently started playing arma 2 and have bought OA.

    Problem is there seems to be a lot of empty servers and most other servers are running mods.

    Question I have is what are the most popular mods for multiplayer?as in, what mods should i use to see busiest multiplayer server.

    Yes, yes it will.

    When I first had ArmA 2, I'd play 6 hour warfare matches, three times a day. I was borderline eating and sleeping to fuel my ArmA 2 addiction hahaha.

    Haha Ive been there before too ,not with arma but with other games.

    Sometimes a game will just grab me so much that i will be so engrossed and not want to sleep or even stop to eat.

    Tonight i have bought arma 2 original game,arma 2 OA.now when i go to multiplayer serverlist all the servers have red X next to them.

    I assume i dont have the right mod or something.but when reading closely I can see that all of them are running BAF and PMC dlc.

    So i thought 'maybe these are mods' but when i go to check them out it appears they are actually more things i have to pay for.

    How much money do i have to shell out to play this game?.

    Or am i missing something?

    Hi I have just purchased arma 2 full version after playing for a while on free.

    I really like the game its just what i was looking for.

    Im looking for a group I can play with regularly maybe with you own server or even on public servers.

    I dont mind doing my part towards server costs or whatever so long as i get a mature and good experience from it in the end.

    I am 28 yr old male,timezone=gmt.

    I am new to the game so i have much to learn.

    I will happily install and use any voip or chat programs i need to.
