  1. To me it just looks like the vehicles are a lot heavier on the bottom than they are on top. I"ve had vehicles stuck on their side many times. And ones with turrets on top just wouldn't stay upside down anyway.

    ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

    Clearly we need an addon that allows us to point at where we are looking. It would use the top of your finger as the ""ironsight"" so you see that you actually are pointing at what you want. And you could point while freelooking and it would follow your view. It doesn't seem like it would be IMPOSSIBLE.

    It's anti-materiel rifle. It's meant to be used against equipment and such. Not different materials. Also a sniper with a suppressor seems kind of pointless, because if you're close enough for them to respond in any short amount of time, you should be using a designated marksman's rifle. Not a sniper.

    I use the RCO out to 600 meters. And if I don't have the RCO, I just use ironsights out to 500 meters. if the target is a slight bit farther, then I"ll probably have a spare Sniper scope in my backpack for that. anything past 850 meters is a nogo for standard rifles though. While using a sniper however, the minimum engagement distance is essentially 1km. So using anything other than the sniper scope on it is pointless. But at close range <200meters holo sights are just generally better than ironsights. Also while using an autorifle/machinegun, it's usually the MRCO I'm using, out to 800meters.
  7. Well I just took a jog 650 meters down the runway at the airbase before the full level of fatigue kicked in. (as in, cannot sprint) And about 140 meters of sprinting till you cannot sprint anymore. This is with the standard blufor rifleman loadout. I also just did your method of pistol only. Sprinted 210 meters. People need to learn that sprinting isn't for getting around. Sprinting is for getting AWAY.

    I don't see why people don't just use stadiametric rangefinding. It's not that hard. Although I'd have to go back into arma to see which scopes actually have it.
  9. Well from what I can see he actually isn't even in the bush, he is in front of it. When you try to conceal yourself in a bush, don't position yourself so you can see out of it. That just means the enemy can see you.
  10. The ability to directly give someone inventory items without a backpack. Having a machinegunner look away from a target to get more ammo is bad. I suggest adding the ability to open up a units inventory while looking at them and be able to put things in it. Without the need for a backpack. This way when a unit says he's getting low on ammo, you just go over to him and drop some ammo into his inventory.

    Would it be possible to add the ability to be led by an AI teamleader? Would be nice to be able to do so for those who prefer to play alone. Also have the AI spawn on group members.
  12. In Co-op games. I just see full on snipers everywhere. Rifleman, sniper. AT soldier, sniper. Sniper, sniper. Pilot, sniper. And to only be used up to 600 meters because everyone thinks that past that is too far. And they MISS. It saddens me.
  13. well at that distance IRL you need to deal with bullet drop, air humidiity, rain, wind, coriolis effect, target elevation, target speed, your speed, your elevation, bullet travel, the list goes on. Hitting the head is never going to happen, which is why you aim for the chest.
  14. If most of your PIP monitors are flashing rapidly or trying to show 2 different images at the same time. Turn off SLI. I've seen three things happen. With SLI on apparently all PiP frames are fed into all GPUs, making the pip have a ghost of itself slightly behind. However sometimes. only half of the frames are fed into one of the cards. causing flashes to black. And other times the flashes to black happen. But also. a previous PIP source is stuck there as well. What I find odd however, is the skid mirror on the littlebird has none of these problems. Ever. And no lowering PIP quality does not solve this problem.     I also seem to have figured out why the littlebird's mirror does not flicker. It's because there's only one PiP source on it. Same thing with the transport hunter and transport ifrit. Which means the rear cameras and the side view mirrors use the same input. That's what I've seen at least.
  16. The point of the original comment was that people are running around with sniper rifles using them as if they were carbines. If you're sniping legitimately from 1km and up, then I'm fine with it. But if you're just 300 meters away from your target, you should just be using a regular infantry rifle. Not a sniper.
  17. You do realize that the blufor sniper rifle that fires the .408 is accurate up to 2300 meters right. Actually I'm pretty sure it's accurate even past that. But the SOS scope only ranges up to 2300 anyway. Although you can just use the dots to aim farther. here you go. I miss the first shot at 3:35 , but the next 2 shots hit and kill their targets.   18. You don't seem to understand. I would have no problems if all these people were actually sniping from 1.4km and up. But what they are doing. Is equipping a sniper rifle, and running around using it as if it were an assault rifle.

  22. if I do that with a teamleader however, the grouped units do not go with him, and with that method, if you're on a hill units can spawn in the air and fall (either they spawn in the air or fall, or they spawn in each other and one gets pushed up and then falls). Would it be possible to actually delay the spawn of units until their leader gets placed around unit1 because that way they would just spawn into formation after the leader is placed.
