    Suppression Effect missing in ARMA3

    Suppression works as intended without the need for BF3 style bullshit.
  2. Considering the game is so close to being released, I'm going to come out and say it. I've become disappointed in ARMA 3 as I held higher hopes that all those little important issues would be fixed. Including and just from the top of my head - the average sound, the still poor AI, the horrible mid-range textures, the appalling action menu, the dodgy controlling of vehicles, confirmed features that are not so confirmed any more. It just seems there is so much to work on that were issues in the first games. That really should have been resolved a long time ago. With all that said - ARMA 3 is still going to be one of my favorite games of all time. Plus I honestly feel BIS is one of the only companies creating good GAMES and not 'cinematic' type trash. ARMA should be the bare minimum standard that ALL games should achieve.

    The sound thread

    Weapons are ok but still need some improvement. I struggle to hear firefights >500m? Same with vehicles. Not only that but I don't think the engine takes into account if you are in a building or whatever? So if I fire a gun in a house it's the same as on open terrain. That is pretty poor tbh. While I don't want the game to sound like Bad Company 2 on war tapes, it could at least change the sound up a little when being inside a building and even being in a town compared to being on open terrain.

    Hopefully ARMA 3 is the furthest thing from The Last of US 'Really wished the Arma series would move away from the typical scripted events, and have more dynamic animations to what youre doing. ' Could not cringe harder. Of all games to compare to you compare to the most scripted 'cinematic-like' games like The Last of Us that features nearly 0 player involvement.

    Multiplayer Balancing - Will Arma3's MP be balanced?

    Insurgency in ARMA 2 was great Getting the balance right IMO was all up to the players. For instance - all going blufor means the mission becomes too easy and boring. A few people going insurgents really spiced it up. Too many going insurgents and then the game became too stacked to opfor. At this point with ARMA 3 the only reason I choose the green faction over any other faction is simply the look of the soldiers - blufor,opfor and green guns all feel exactly the same to me. I can't tell the difference. This I don't like.

  12. I have a problem with all pistols in arma 3 - I just can't hit a target past 10m There is something different about them compared to arma 2 arma 2 pistols (especially m1911) had a weighty feel about them arma 3 feels like i'm shooting a nerf gun.

  15. Is there any way to play the SP mission as co-op? It would really work well with 2-3 of my friends. The co-op mission seems to require more people for it to play well.

  18. I really hate the current screen blur when you run too much. It's over the top. Just force back to a walk when you are exhausted. It makes it tedious to play a videogame when you are getting eye strain every 30 seconds because the screen keeps fading in and out when you run. The coughing is all perfectly fine and is a good addition to the game. Please do remove the blur addition to the game BIS :)

    SMAA or AA or FXAA ?

    I'll either use SMAA or use no AA at all. Other AA methods make the game look odd to my eyes. FXAA from memory seems like it overly sharpens the textures to make it look unnatural. At the moment on 1920x1200 the game looks fairly decent. Only some textures like houses and the horrible mid range ground seem that a little bit of tessellation could maybe solve the problem???

    I think the spread of the light needs to be toned down. I also would like to see other players lights. I hope it is only a bug
  23. Currently a sandy bridge 2600, gtx 670 with a light OC, 4 gigs of dominator ram, vertex 4 256gig SSD. Runs good at all settings on high @ 1920x1200 but will upgrade to 16 gigs ram/better cpu/gpu @ full release.
  24. Lemnos is a dry island. I hope the full map does include some streams. I can't remember if I saw any during my travels. I know there are geothermal springs ...
