  1. Yessss, download nad testing :)
  2. Meaby there are things about we don't know. I mean real AH-6 where propably aircrew has programmable weapon systems during flight for pilot comfort. So this what swissMAG posted could be counterpart for this.
  3. Well, it's depand on situation. Normal i use same option - nigh rpm burst M-134 then single rocket and wave off. But i think there could be tactical situation to recommend to fire more then single or pair rocket. In vid. above i had one kind of it. During gun run i was engine hit but not too bad. For my safety was better to RTB and repair or take next chopper, but in my pods left 4 rocket, so i decide to perform last rocket run and then RTB. I think this is individual option. This is what advance joystic we have to allow use button to toggle in one second on next weapon.
  4. And one more with CAS. View from the ground unit 0:00, 1:05, 23:42, 25:53. Meaby not epic action but viewing from vid above and this one is MELB mod starting his active duty :)

Third time i say on this forum that i had occasion to see two times (and i can more) how look Yaw response on real hind when rudder is in neutral position during hover. In TOH it it too strong!!! How should be looks like correctly? Put the same value as in "heavy" helicopter in TOH ! This is not immportant thing as all simflayers should be worry. More intresting thing is hydraulic damper that limits of move speed of rudder, prevent to possibly damage of fuselage.
  6. Yes they have. The light (MD-500) don't have. Flight manual Mi-24 said - turn on autohover during hover at 5-10m . Autohover working properly if helicopter don't change his position more than 15m from output position during 1 min and altitude stabilization don't change +/_ 4 m. But pilots usually don't use autohover.

    Take On: Hinds!

There is NO any laser designators and any Low light TV or FLIR on Hind - D, W/V and P. We talking about typical versions. Meaby some upgrade version have but we could see that at phots on fuselage or cokpits.

Before i wrote this post i talk with my friend who was very experience hind pilot (2000h) for sure. I ask him about "wing stall". During more than 20 years of traningflights , test flights even display flight on airshows he don't experience this kind of occurrence. Wings on hind start "working" from 70km/h and it's helpfull for entire capacity (it's about ~25%) . For now i don't have chance to do the same test but on the previous friday during flights (in real) we perform training attack to air targets (training target was other hind) and we perform i think similar maneuver as yours. For exp. diving from 8 o'clock going to 7 and break to left turn up (angle bank ~ 30 to 40 degrees) and nothing happend. The same on right. Meaby we don't understand together. I don't want to say that hind is easy like western helos. I mean that hind is not difficult as you think But remember it's only sim. Let's make it clear .I'm flying on Mi-24 as crew chief not a pilot. I had occasions to take control but 3 or 4 times . But it's old times. I have my own knowlage about mi-24 and possibility to ask pilots about some aspects of FM real hind. Fly simulation is my hobby so i take a conversation with a pleasure on this forum especially about hind.

    Hinds FM

Hi. I'm new on this forum but not new in real aviation and simflying. Like i wrote in my first post i'm working and flying on real hinds in Polnish Army Aviation since 2002. Also i'm simflyer since 2000 year and helos is my favor so i can say that i'm one of YOU. Here what i want to say. Yes and No. Yes hind is born to attack at high speed but it is no true that hind is unstable and difficult during hover. Ofcourse hind is not toy for rookie pilots but hovering not driving pilots to sweat. Hind have SAS. Sometime pilot during hover can even relase hand from stick for few seconds and after that hind slowly change his current position . Of course if we have not strong wind and pilot use central trim correctly. Even if SAS will turn off (perform during test flights after big maintance) good pilot shouldn't have a problem to keep stable hover . It's not easy but possible. Hind have autohover but as far i can remember pilots don't use this option. Wings? Meaby you want to say rotor blades? Hind feel good at high speeds ~250km/h . At max 320km/h vibrations is a little be uncomfortable. Yes the true is MI-24 is not design for sneaky close to target. He is just to heavy. To heavy to rapid manouvers during hover and low speeds over battlefield. But if you want to make a nice airshow over airfield ...well it's not a Bo-105 or Apache but skill pilot is able to perform show that you will not forget. In overall, hind is quite sensitive in controls but "lazy like cow" makeing maouvers. It's 11 tons , you cant cheat a physics :o . Try a DCS Ka-50 it's similar in controls. And last word about rudder . Please do something with this because it's not as in real. I wrote here http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?132569-To-much-torque-induced-yaw about "how it works".
  10. I agree. No i think he do not and i'm sure i don't.... ...and it's heavy about 11 tons depand on payload. This mean that it should be feel "lazy" in control .... isn't it?. No, it's not. Hind during hover when rudder is neutral position start rotate to left, but slowly. It's difficult to belive but it's TRUE. Rotate speed will increase a bit when collective is up. It's good to know :) . I'm working in Polnish Army Aviation as crew chief on hind since 2002 and i have occasion to look from closer on "some" things. Like last time when i ask the pilot to make a litte test during hover check and show me how effective is torque on hind. ...and you will be surprice how much strength you must put on rudder to move him to the limit. But this not necessary if torque is not that much (as in Hind DLC) and tail rotor is enougt effective. Of course it's not MD-500 :)
