I have noticed this trend mostly with Noobs... I would say 90%.. The other 10% try it out for a while and move on.. I touched it once in single player, just to hear it and see it.. -
sorry guys i have ruled out all other possibilities it is the dev build.. It doenst happen when i switch to the stable build.. I use that "Switch" trick when i have missing "directional" sounds IE sounds cut out when i look a certain direction. That was the very first thing i did when i heard it. After that I verifyied my game cashe. Then switched to stable.. Then switched back to dev. Then Enabled all my mods, then removed them. And finally removed and Re-installed the game. Went from stable to dev and the problem occurred again. All my drivers are up to date and Every other game and video and sound i hear from Any other media on my PC is crips and clear. Only in Arma 3 Alpha Dev build does this anomaly occur..

for the last 4-5 days now i have had a very strange Audio issue that only occurs in the Dev version.. I have reverted to the Stable build and the sound is fine... I have reinstalled the game to see if maybe there was a greater issue.. I still persists.. The best way to describe it, is the audio sounds digitized like 8 bit audio. Helicopters when you start them up have two propeller sounds that overlap and sound horrible. Hunters and Ifrits don't sound like vehicles.. they sound like a old dial up modem trying to connect to the internet.. This only happens in ARMA 3 , and in the DEV version... I know its not my sound card or any PC related issue as my sound is great ANY where else. just not ARMA 3 Dev. ok so its pretty much what i had, just one would be commented out while i tested the other command.. Thanks! It works "Mostly" The problem im running into now is that once the AI places the mine, he gets stuck there .. they will not move or do anything. There is a domove command following the mine placement. however, it would seem it is not doing its job. -

I second the adjustment on the Icon.. maybe smaller? translucent maybe? Or just a quick hint.. I also feel it distracts a bit.. -

I have a question related to this. This does work, however, the AI just instantly places the satchel. There is no animation. Just instant satchel. Is there a way to have the same sound and animation play that the player sees and hears for the AI?? I have tried action ["UseWeapon",_soldier,_soldier, (#1-16)]; however, I cannot get the mines placed. #1-5 i get pistol and rifle fireing. higher #do nothing. -

a second shot is not nessaraly fatal... He means if the second hit is in the leg, why would it be fatal... you just cant walk.... if your hit in the arm .. its not fatal.. you just cant use your arm... and of course your bleeding and in severe pain... That is NOT in the game... If however, the second shot is in the head. then well.. yea, you dead FOO.. Bacisally the wounding system now is .. you are a TWO PUMP CHUMP... two hits anywhere and your dead.. I don't like it one bit. but that's probably a bit much for a revive script that was designed to be lightweight!

I am sorry i cannot be more help, however, I am pretty sure that you have to call for the sound to be played at missions start once this is done.. As far as exactly how, your best bet is to do what i do... De-PBO another mission that has intro music, and see how they did it..

Hello, I seem to be having trouble again... I cannot get my HC to connect to a passworded server again... It keeps saying wrong password given but i know that its the right password. Can someone else confirm this I do believe it is a valid issue and not just my problem. Please and Thank you! -

Any way to get the proper Sigs and Keys.... Someone else tried to provide them but they are not the Original mod maker and cannot distribute the fix... Can you as the mod maker please add the correct Signatures and bikeys... Thanks And considering someone else was able to do it I imagine that the OG should take less time to Fix it since its their mod. IE: the bulk of the work is done we just need working Signatures and Bikeys.... -

the "-beta" line should look like this: "-beta=Expansion;Expansion/beta;Expansion/beta/Expansion" your missing the first "Expansion" Im not so sure it needs "quotations" around the "-beta=" or not.. but definitely add what i just posed in red. -

hmm if it is in a folder named "@STHud" then why is your mod line calling for just "SThud"?? Where did your @ symbol go.. I can say for shure that that would be the issue if you have launched the mods that way... the name in the startup paramaters has to be the EXACT same as the name in the arma 3 directory... so if you have @STHud.. then it should be "-mod=@CBA_A3;@STHud".... not "-mod=CBA_A3;STHud" -
what i have noticed is that if you start video recording software before you launch the game it will interfere with SweetFX. for instance: If I start bandicam , or playclaw BEFORE I launch the game .. SweetFX DOESNT work. If I start ARMA before I start any video recording software.. SweetFX works. I dont have Fraps so I cant say if it has the same affect..

I hope BIS adds this to the game by default.. This mod is AWESOME.. but i think that statment is a silly... BIS should TAKE NOTE... and Add it in the game.. Not pass up on it because someone made a MOD... That's just plain silly!! And just to pre-empt the SHHHH... I know they have other more important matters... but considering that someone just made a mod to add it .. It's obviously do-able and can't be that difficult (not trying to insinuate that i can do it ). I mean, they code for a living, it shoulnt be hard to add weapons resting as a default action.. -
St.Jimmy.... in your vid you get an average of 40 FPS.. I have been stuck at 20fps since the game was released... I know that your posting about the trees and the lag.. but Seriously... WOW.... Your recording video and still getting an average of 45ps... AND your fps almost never drops below 30.(maybe once or twice).. Outside of that ONE tiny spot of the tree where your frames drop you get REALLY good FPS... i actually have real fps issues, but I can honestly say that those trees dont affect my fps in either direction... I just get shitty fps. period..

Savage, I have had this same trouble and posted about it in the ACRE thread some time ago. If you run with verifySignatures=2, and dont have connection issues, please share some more as I would like to fix this as well. -

I can never duplicate it on demand, however... someone, i think Zguba, made a .pbo that had included in it scripts that placed a car alarm on randomly spawned vehicles from the bis vehicle module. I can think of several instances where upon getting a vehicle an alarm went off.. I just about s#$t myself. -
Jake Krieger... If you look for it .. you can find it .. Parts of it have been ported to A3 ... I use it as well have been for months now.. Its lovely, i cant wait to see ai rearming them selves..
