dont mind me i just like takin apart mods to see what makes them tick. I noticed that in the config you have MAN shouldn't that be CAManBase. so that this is not executed on all the "Man" class which i do believe includes the wildlife. IE: class Extended_Init_EventHandlers { class CAManBase .......... class Extended_Fired_EventHandlers { class CAManBase .......... I could be wrong here someone chime in and correct me if im wrong I just want to help optimize.. Edit:: I forgot to add that This is a really GREAT addon to the game! Thanks to Snake2200 for the original work and the nod! And Thanks to Reserve for the Port! -

speeking of wonky profiling issues... My team is currently working on a Joint OP with 2 other groups. Its on stratis, and its basically a CTI. the mission also uses the Nimitz. We have a pretty big issue that is pretty much keeping us from having vehicle respawns. With our Current respawn script for vehicles, they respawn on the carrier, but then something in @ALIVE decides to profile them ( even though its set to ONLY PROFILE SYNCED UNITS ), and its not synced to the module. So after a vic respawns. it suddenly has an AI in it (when it was an empty object) and then the engine turns on and the vic goes driving off the carrier.. So, Recap, We have empty vehicles with a respawn script that when they respawn, ALIVE adds a driver, turns the engine on and has them drive away, off the ship... We had to remove the respawn script... If you want i can send you the mission with the respawn script enabled so you can see for yourself. but @ALIVE is the culprit. and it has to do with the profiling. EDIT:: Thinking back to when ALIVE was first release i remember having MANY similar issues when i would place and empty vic, it would be profiled and then replaced with a manned unit.. even though previously it was an empty object and shouldnt have been profiled in the first place. -

I just checked the dev site, the muted clients issues is listed as resolved.. Thats good. Although its still listed as unresolved in the roadmap. The only other error is the windows 8 permissions issue. there was a new version posted today. hopefully testing goes well and we will see a release soon! One bug down, one left. Good Luck Dev Team!!!! -

im truely astonished with all these people having issues with CBA_A3_RC1.. i have been running it since the moment it was release on our dedicated server.. and no crashes no problems at all... Hmmmmm I dont have any advice, nor troubleshooting tips.. I just know that it works fine on our servers. (we have 3 dedi's up with updated cba, all running no prob) our mod launcing varies from -mod=@cba_A3;@ASR_AI3;@tpwcas;@TFAR;@CLF_mods one day to -mod=@CBA_A3;@bCombat;@TFAR;@CLF_mods... the next day... and no issues. we dont run to many mods on our servers right now. We are still figuring out what we want and what works with what missions.. -

pushing it to public beta would allow us all to get together on one server and test it out.. I personally think its a great idea to release it for testing... as i only see One bug listed in the bug tracker. and its a very trivial bug... My 2 cents... Release the mod......talk to a large community that has a large server and ask to set up some testing days ..... I can guarantee you will get your large player count mission in a matter of Hours.. but, what do i know. I just want to use the mod.. :cool: RELEASE THE KRACKEN.... -

This is very common statement, and in my experience comes from people that dont know how to use it... Or have no patience on learning new things.. You know what they say, "You cant teach an old dog new tricks".. I use to not like playwithSix.. I love it now, because i know how to use it. and it does everything i want. Because i took the time to figure out how to use it.. but to each their own.. BTW's this map is SWEET.. I am really glad that you got a handle on that Really Loud bird!! that thing was scray!! I almost pissed myself the first time play on this map (because of the bird)! -

Hello All, I have been using Rcon for well a few weeks now, not that long. Well it was working fine last night.. I tried to log in today and i cannot connect to the server... and nothing has changed... on the server or on my end... anyone experiencing this?? -
can someone help me with this, as i just started using tfar. Im am use to ACRE. and well its simple.. you use one hand for almost ALL radio controls (well most of them / %90 of them / the important ones....) Does anyone have a userconfig that is set up like ACRE???? I am currently trying to change the defaults to something more intuitive (doesnt involve me taking my hand off my mouse...) I would like to keep one hand on my mouse to shoot if need be, or to continue to control my vic/heli/plane. If anyone has set up a userconfig to use the same keybinds as acre, would you mind posting them up for me to copy? save my community and I some time and headache??? I would GREATLY appreciate it.. I am currently going threw the cfg its just painfull. cant realy tell what everything is so its hit or miss.. I ask this not only for myself but the 30+ players that always play on our server that want to use a radio mod.... Any help is appreciated!!!

Ok so i opened the file in notebook++ and i changed the servers last char to 0 and saved it and my server works. Thanks for the heads up i didnt think i could edit so i didnt even try!! Well Hats off to you. I can go and test Grouplink and taskforceradio -

so i tried it and now i cannot launch my arma3server.exe im clicking on it and its just sits their.. it was just working. I downloaded, inpacked, went threw the "ok" for my pc to accept the reg tweek, restarted my pc. and now i have no working arma3server.exe to expand upon that: I am not using any mods or command line params. I am just simply trying to start it the ole fashion way of clicking on the .exe and running as admin. then that didnt work so I then just double clicked on the .exe and it again did Nothing. My client seems to start up fine. Honestly i havent tested the rest of the performance ... because i just lost my testing server. -

this might sound counter productive but give this a try..... First off let me say this... when you make a mission in MP. 1) you have ALL Playable UNITS synced to GL5 modules(system and specialFX) 2) you have at LEAST ONE enemy UNIT synced. now with that said of those playable units. you will have one of them that is the "Player" unit.. (IE you have a choice to select "Player" or "Playable", when placing a unit)... Ok That said... once you complete the mission making. go to the "Player" Unit double click on it and change it to "Playable".. So then you will have all Playable units.. Then save the mission as MP.. and try again!! I have experienced issues when joining the slot, that in the editor you placed as "PLayer", you dont get the action to Recruit AI.. I joined a slot what was NOT the "Player" unit and it workd fine.. I have been looking for the culprit, no luck as of yet... AGAIN TO RECAP. Go into your mission.. Change that ONE "Player" unit to a "Playable" unit. And test again! -

Large caliber weapons Are VERY QUIET, Way to quite. I was standing next to an artillery piece and when it fired it sounded like a mortar.. It was not a static mortar it was the scorcher... I was then Standing next to a marshall ...It was firing and the gun was on the hush... I am sure i have read that others have having this issue as well. It just seems like JSRS needs a good ole fashion Eye'ballin -

I dont know if its just me but i have to ask.. I have a mission i made a LONG time ago with ALIVE. It is up to date as far as the modules and their content. Its a simple mission really just two AO's one for blufor one for opfor. Low AI count 160 total. 60 blufor, 100 opfor. Why i am say all that is because that same mission is taking much longer to load.. It use to take 1-2 minutes tops to load.. now its over 10 minutes im waiting at the loading screen... WTF.. is it just me experiencing these really long load times? I am running the same AI mods, Bcombat and Grouplink as i have been before.." THE SAME MOD SET, LONGER LOAD TIMES ".. Is anyone else experiencing exceedingly long loading times? more backround info on the mission ... 1) no persistant or Database modueles 2) just modules for each factions AO. one civi place, and one mil place. for each faction. 3) no convoy, or civilian anything. -
TaoSenai, I was playing Arma 2 ACE recently (havent playd it in a while) anywho. There is a neat feature, if your running or moving when your maps open, the map shakes. I was just wondering if you could impement an option like that. were if were moving and we have the folded map up.. it kinda moves around the corner of the screen. Just a slight up down left right, jiggling motion.. Kinda like weapon sway but for the map.. Im sure there going to be a ton of people that think its a dumb idea but i liked it in ACE the other day. I had to stand still to get a good look at the map. So with that if you can do it maybe an option to enable or disable map_shake... ?? for those that dont like the idea.. Anywho just wanted to ask if you can and if you wouldnt mind! Thanks for your consideration, in advance!
