  1. Hey guys, As in ArmA 2 when you spawn the custom compositions created with objectgrabber.sqf, via Game logic, these can be rotated to suit the direction you want said compositions to face. Well, I have created myself some simple compositions like small checkpoints and such. When I try to rotate them to face the desired direction, they dont do it, they just face the way they were created in the editor. Has any of you fine people got any idea why this is happening. Thanks in advance for any help.
  2. Hello guys, I am in the process of making a few custom compositions with the object grabber.sqf. I have made a small checkpoint that contains a bar gate. Is it possible via some scripting to have these bar-gates open and close when approached? I already know the code to make editor placed gates open and close but doing it for these compositions is beyond my knowledge. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. have you tried getting the id of the buildings and dotarget or dofire them, it might work, might not. I am by far a scripting master, but worth a try since your having trouble. Or would placing an enemy there with the probability of presence at zero beside said buildings work?
  4. Yeah Alky seen those already and they do indeed work very well indeed. I was just trying to build my own and see if I could get them working. Mine is working fine but, when i spawn the composition now the checkpoint faces the way that i made it in the editor, as in a cant rotate it to suit where I want it place, any ideas guys why this is happening?

  6. Created composition no problem, but what ever position they are created in, they just keep facing that direction when placed on new map. Any ideas how to fix this so you can make them face whatever way you want them too, like the ones from arma 2. In arma 2 ones you could just move them around until the position was satisfactory.

    Definite FPS improvement for me, I used to max out at around 35-40 frames. Now Im hitting 50-60 frames, on pretty active servers (EVGA GTX 680 4GB FTW).
  9. Hey guys great work on the script. My problem is, when I start a mission on my own, I can't start the mission, all I see is the sea? I have respawn_west marker down and have the scripts in the right places. It works fine when i am playing with friends and I can only choose to spawn on them at the start, I have no option to spawn at base. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Respawn Issue!

    Had a look at your mission, and I personally dont see anything wrong with your marker or description.ext. Try and change your re-spawn to BASE and see if you can re-spawn at your marker, I think since there is just 2 in your group that might have something to do with it. Do you disable AI when you start your mission?

    Great work, looks very striking indeed. Such subtle changes can make a whole lot of difference to a player.
  16. @ OP : There must be something wrong with your game because as far as I know, from playing almost 100 hours already, I have not experienced anything you are claiming. As for the movement and entering and moving around houses, I think its a vast improvement on any other title so far.

The Devs do warn though that such errors can occur when opting into the dev build, just to be clear. I think if you post your concerns on the feedback tracker, you may come across players with similar issues that you are having. Personally I am very lucky to say I have not had any real issues thus far.

    Apparently the Dev build is changing all the time and you will be getting updates regularly. I have also heard that this can cause unstable game play at times. So it is all about what you want really.

    Dont think that briefing.sqf has changed at all actually, from what i have seen.
  20. I have seen this in a mission my friend created. I suggest you use the Feedback Tracker and report it, maybe other people have done already.

  25. Love the Script, What a great piece of work, very handy! For some reason this works fine when I host a game, but it wont work on a dedicated machine which we play on, any idea why? EDIT: Sorry guys, problem solved, the problem was I am stupid lol.
