Hi all, I have successfully installed and played my copy of Arm2:Free. But as I was suggested to merge my Arma2:Free with my Arma2:RFT I was doing the same and got some errors. lol.. below is an FYI :) : - I am a poweruser..one who regularly cleans his system of any junk files, dumps etc. - clean registry daily* using ccleaner & manually* after any* s/w uninstallation :D - for..Gods sakes..am an IT PRO here :P ok..and changing user accounts won't help at all. The error while updating (it with v1.60) my separately installed RFT copy (having v1.58) is below: Afterwards the update does continue and I get these errors..one after another for different filenames: What I want to know is: - Do I really need to buy OA first and then install and update my copy of RFT with 1.60? - I tried updating my RFT copy with v1.59 update also and it isn't working..I am getting the same error as above ^ :(

Yesterday night..I tried installing both first the v1.59 and the v.1.60 updates and both of them failed me. :/ I dunno whats wrong with Arma2:RFT gonna have to wait till arma 3 I guess :'( + stick to arma:free..? :'( (tht suks n hurts :/ :( )

umm.. when people are waiting for a heli on the ground waiting for him to land..?; or when there are close combat battles? actually you also should consider VoIP traffic :) in-game

yea..I put my hands-up to v1.60 updater for arma2:RFT :| gonna reinstall it separately (NO arma2:CO Lite), try patching it up to v1.59 or v1.60 (if it works).. Thanks for helping me out so far :)

yep.. I actually tried that twice but got the same error as in screen shots (link in my original post #1) Yes as of now..I am playing A@F only.. RFT is uninstalled as of now (unless I get it to v1.60 :/ ) and registry cleaned. can you please clarify me the directory structure (if I want to merge A2F & A2RFT)? like by default A2F installs itself in: C:\Program Files(x86)\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 Free\ So while installing the A2:RFT over the A2F should I install it over the same directory like : C:\Program Files(x86)\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 Free\ (and NOT like: C:\Program Files(x86)\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 Free\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 Reinforcements\) umm..on the very same directory..? (if Yes..then hey I did the same thing :( )

I am new to ARMA series (have heard a LOT about it :) ) and I am happy to get a copy for myself off amazon :D I have a few queries: :) - should I have bought ARMA2: Combined Operations instead of ARMA2- Reinforcements ? my friends told me that more people play arma2:CO instead of ARMA2:Reinforcements :( ? I just read that arma2:CO is basically a combination of ARMA2+ARMA2:OA :) and it looks as if not really "everybody" has upgraded to Reinforcements (which is again a combination of BAF+PMC DLCs) :( - How can I go about installing stability updates for my ARMA2: Reinforcements ? I just saw individual updates the v.1.59 and the v.1.60 ?:confused: Please tell me step-by-step ..like do I have to install previous updates before v.1.59? or v.1.60? Can i directly install the v.160 update ontop of my reinforcement install? - have I made a "mistake" by getting reinforcements? I tried that too. 1st time it was on my arma 2 : Free (installed in C:\Progra....\Arma2 free\) ..>> got the same error (as above) 2nd time.. I tried reinstalling it from scratch (in C:\arma 2\) ..>>got the same error again :( -- What do you suggest me regarding the error.. should I make a separate thread for this mate? :( I seriously want to play arma 2 RFt combined with arma 2 Free :) :) but can't due to the error I am facing while updating to v.160 Should I make a separate thread for this issue..? Please suggest this too.. :|

LOL. No. . You misunderstood me..maps/mission i was talking about were of MULTIPLAYER. (and NOT of SP) I know arma:free dont have any mission in SP! ANYWAYS. . Discussing abt this is not required, but what is required is to solve those errors and successfully install arma:CO Lite please see my earlier post for error info. Thanks

Hi there, regarding this ..to run A2 once as to make sure the registry entries are generated. I was integrating my Arma2:Free and Arma 2:RFT but while installing the v.160 update on the installation of Arma 2 :Free & Arma 2 :RFT on C:\Arma2 I came up with this weird error..while trying to run the update v.1.60 : After that when I clicked on OK..the install/updation started but I was again greeted by another error..and it kept on coming with different filenames:confused: : Please excuse me if I had to create separate thread..but I am now back to installing Arma2:Free from scratch and that made me go mad :mad: all my extra download mission files all gone :eek: BTW: my Arma2: RFT version is 1.58 Thanx, niner out

shit..my Corei5 @ 2.4~2.9Ghz + AMD ATI 5650M (1Gig) Gfx Card is really pumpin out enough FPS....that too MAXED OUT :D (on Arma2:RFT) FYI: you need to have a good combination of "stream processors", "transfer channel bandwidth" and the "card memory" to have a crunching FPS rate.. all hands down :) and yea.. I am running 3GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM all the above config. on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (Genuine Ed.)

can't he just buy another new game key for activating a second copy and use his original disc/setup for installing the game? (LOL Arma Devs do deserve a contribution from your friend's side too :D )

Hi all :) -I would like to know how can I report my grid to others (during Arma2:Free MP). - I have seen/heard while playing that my team mates can report their grid status and I would like to do the same, but however I am not able to find the default key binding nor am I able to find the key in the configuration/control. -FYI I do know how to find my own grid on the Map by pressing "m" but all I would like to know is how can i report my grid to my team mates :) through audio :) Thanks

Hi there! Thanks for the quick reply.. - LOL no...not AI; I meant when I play online Multiplayer :) I could hear my team mates reporting their grids. - um..is it on automatic basis..?..like it gets auto activated when we get lost? :D
