Multiple times now I have seen moderators behave immature, and unfit for such positions. The retarted "You arent allowed to critize moderators"-rule adds to that.
Now I want officially complain against moderator "Max Power", who belongs to the "Call of Dutys" boards but not to ArmA II where the average player is over 18. Just read his last posts in the "Addons you are working on" thread. This is not how a moderator should behave.
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?74243-WIP-Stuff-you-are-working-on-2!/page640
I have also sent PNs to the BIS Developers, please do so as well if you agree with me. These are not the people I want to moderate a board.
EDIT: I want to stress I wasnt involved, its not like I receveid an infraction and want to cry about it, its mainly the behaviour against "colonel stagler", "Blackfox34" and earlier against "Rock" that made me open this thread. I just want to show them that there are people who dont like this kind of behaviour, especially in the relativly mature bis forums.

Just let it die. You wont finish it anyway. Nothing against you, but theres a curse on the Cheyenne. There where no less than three in the making for OFP (one by Nephilim which was 99% finished), one for ArmA and now your start again for ArmA II.
-
LOL! You're not bitter about that at all. :DAbs
Yeah sorry, since I did addons back in the OFP days myself (before the RVMAT stuff came that made texturing impossible for derps like me), I would normally not flame someone for not releasing stuff. :(
But in this case the temptation was just too great. One thread announcing he is going to make an addon, then another thread where he made a poll where the users could choose, then another thread where he announced the Prowler, then editing said thread saying he is going to make something different....I think the guy just liked the spotlight a little too much. :D
EOD SuitIm sure I saw an addon like this in the making...Maybe pufu? Dont know, but someone is working on it.

How about some more Naval Aircraft to use alongside Meatballs Nimitz and F/A-18s? ie EA-6B, E-2C, C-2A?How about you ask Hotair McBullshittalker? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?108103-New-Aircraft-Addons-Vote-for-your-favorite!
and of course: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?108140-EA-6B-Prowler-WiP-by-IrishDeviant

Just got back from overseas, and will check out the suggestions made. :) Thanks all.Abs
When you made your decission, tell us the time period the vehicle will be from! (Modern, WW2, Pre-WW2). But not the vehicle itself, I want to be suprised :D Also when you wont be able to finish it there will be less disappointment.

Could someone (maybe the Inv.44 team) get into contact with the FF Studio about porting their tanks to ArmA II? The Panzer III already works nearly perfectly in ArmA II, the only problem is that the tracks wont move.

Well, wouldn't it be better, when all of them go to ArmA 3?No. Too much time.
Iron Front: Liberation 1944 is a commercial stand-alone game BASED ON THE ARMA II ENGINETherefore the addons may still work.
-
Thats so amazing. Im sure ArmA II is going to live even after ArmA III as a "WWII ArmA", due to Invasion 44, September 39 and Hell in the Pacific.
Im also pretty confident the upcoming "Liberation 1944" mod is going to be somewhat compatible with the ArmA II addons, or vice versa...In the end we could have one gigantic WW2 game!
-
@Abs - If you do something from the era Maybach suggests, I'd say go French. You almost never see French tanks from WWI/WWII in games.I totally agree. Something French would be awesome. Also I could be used together with the Invasion 44 and September 1939 vehicles, so it wouldnt be "on its own".

Abs, or anyone else, how about a tank from this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanks_of_the_interwar_period
In my oppinion the most overlooked tanks, and at the same time, the most unusual vehicles. Of course its the wrong list if you want to make something "Modern", but I think the best tanks are the creaking, thundering, cumbersome monsters of the 1915 - 1944 period.
-
Bah. If it was only multi-turret then I'd argue for the Ratte. ;)Yeah the Ratte in ArmA. "Allright lets drive forwa....Annnd we are in the ocean." :D
-
@Abs - How about the Argentinean TAM tank/TAM series? (There's also an IFV variant, an SPG variant, and a sort of MLRS variant).
Pah only one turret! Much too boring! :D
You know what, the Mk. VIII tank was just meant as a joke, but now I actually want to see it ingame... :D Abs go for it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agFP9-3Fea8
-
hi guyzwhen will you publish the mod? looks awesome :)
Many addons, very high quality, only few people working on it => Patience!
-
WTF is that? :DIts the tank that was built for "Indiana Jones III". You know, back when they had no CGI and actually BUILT stuff.
But its not a complete fantasy-vehicle. Basicly its a replica of a "Liberty" tank from Post-World War I, with an additional turret on top. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_Mark_VIII
The tank appearing in the 1989 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie was a newly built replica vehicle made from an excavator, following the hull shape of the Mark VIII but with a turret added.

I'm looking for a tank project to work on in my free time. Please post any requests with the term @Abs so that I can just search the thread. Please include lots of references, including:1. Blueprints
2. Walkarounds
3. Interiors
I'm hoping to work on something a bit eclectic, so only strange tank requests that haven't been seen in-game before will be considered. Any era is fine.
Thanks,
Abs
Any new vehicle to ArmA II is fine.
Just finish it. I remember the last guy making a huge fuzz about his "most realistic plane-addon ever!", where he opened two threads, made a poll which plane the users want, blabla and in the end he just disappeared. :D (Sorry)
Yeah well new tank...There you go: http://images.wikia.com/indianajones/images/8/8d/Tank.jpg. Multi-turret tanks are the most eclectic!

OFF:I am serious. The scientist have found "abnormal" skulls (Starchild), they sent it to a test and they said "it looks like an alien-human hybrid". I watched it on NatGeo. I can link an another video about the Starchild skull. If the Starchild skull is a real alien-human hybrid skull, we can say, the aliens visited us.
Thats the skull of child belonging to a tribe of native-indians that deformed the skulls of their children after birth on purpose.
This information is years old.

WW2 has never been so quite :D news? Any chanche to see map or infantry progress??Its only one guy. Cut him some slack.
You always have the Invasion 1944 mod.
-
lol the Ha-Go is like the M3Stuart or tetarch ^^I dont think they have a M2 or M3.
-
Do you have the Chi-Ha medium tank as well, or only the Ha-Go light tank and the Te-Ke tankette?
Im asking because the Chi-Ha has at least a chance against the Sherman with its 47mm....But the Ha-Go and Te-Ke are just useless. So balance in Multiplayer would be off.
-
Whose Islands are better - Raunhofers ore IceBreakrs?
:D
-
To be honest though I'm not too sure how laser bolts and glowing orbs differ in appearance, and never having seen any of the rounds from WW2 shot for real I wouldn't like to say how realistic any of it is :).
-
Are you planning on reworking the "tank shells"? At the moment the tanks are firing giant tracers, that look like blaster bolts from "Star Wars".
Maybe something the LIB Mod did in OFP, they had the "glowing orbs" tank shells appear as when viewed from behind.
-
For real? He wrote you emails just containing hundreds of unit-names?

-
"The Pacific" was a dissapointment after "Band of Brothers" in my opinion. Too much sidestorys, hardly and focus on the characters. I still know all the soldiers from "Band of Brothers" by name, but not a single one from "The Pacific"

Nah you probably have to sacrefice a goat and dance naked under the moon to get this thing done.
