    its done completly from scratch with just images a reference guide - and my personal SL8 but that doesnt have either the RAS nore Buttstock that is used on this.

    Oh and yeah - because there is so many haters - i shortened the RAS System quiet a bit. So no one can hand me his "wisdom" anymore. Oh and if there is anyone in this great community that wants to contribute to all this - i would be please to have a specialist create configs and get the gun in game actually. Sadly i don't really know my ways arround Oxygen or Configs, so sooner or later i would be stuck at some point.

    Uh it's monday guys. I did the LLM01 as well as an EOTech and a Handgrip on the front but im to lazy to get a render of it done, besides the LLM and the Handgrip are not textured yet. Oh and i missed 2 Episodes of MLP and need to catch up on that. More stuff tomorrow. Btw. www.st-alpha.net users get exclusive contentupdate *twink*

    It currently is in Fieldtesting over in Munster with 20 units of the G36 IDZ in 6.8 mm. Together with the "regular" new G36 IDZ. It has not been on any newspage or blog yet because it is very vague if the System will be introduced or even produced further. It currently is the struggle between a new System and the older ammunition that needs to be used at some place, you can't just let millions of Dollars in ammunition rott in a Bunker or even throw it away. Aside from that, the news about the addition of the G82 and new G28 needed a long time before realease too. The G28 was just so fast because it is already build on a HK417 System, so no big mayor improvements on that side. So the G36 with 6.8 mm could just be droped like the OICW or G11 before it.

    1. I'm looking to build the MG4 as delivered to the Troops - including the Scope Rail, additional with NVG enhancement and one Version with Eotech as Backupsight. 2. Yes i think about building both variants of the G28, or actually 3 plus the NSV 80. @Robert You ruined the surprise! shame on you!

    The Rail attached to the Regular G36 is the SL8 Railsystem (SL8 is the cvil version of the G36) the K Version has a slightly shorter Barrel then the Regular and comes either with the Scopehandle or Rail, the C Version is even shorter (almost the size of a SMG) Here is the comparement of K and C

    The Overall Issue currently with the 5.56 mm is that the face of a conflict has changed over time from large encounters with big opposing forces - to minor small units fighting in an urban terrain. Which makes it necessary to have a bullet that will completly put down your opponent with 1-2 hits. The smaller 5.56 mm sometimes did not bring the wishes result.

    the 6.8 mm Version is currently in Testing @ Munster for the IDZ System. And yes the 6.8 mm Version is not delivered to the troops yet. According to my informations there currently is about 20 Systems of the Rifle handed out. Though the System is orginally intended for the KSK.

    So as promissed - my Updated progress on the G36K A6 RAS (Yes A6 is the info i got when asking about a specification about the Model) Im still missing the Buttstock and Handgrip as well as the second side of the upper reciver and of course some smaller cosmetic texture changes.

    Don't worry Jester the NSA 80 isn't as heavy or uncomfortable as it looks. Though it blocks your Aimbot off completly but makes the Scope NV Capable and it is silent. Though if you open the lense on Daylight your NSA 80 will possibly brake

    @Donny: I researched on the Flipsight matter and it appears that some Operators bought the MP7 Slip up sight and mounted it onto there toprail as Backup sights - i currently dont know if i will implement that as it wouldnt be useable unless i write a small execute script into the config (like the L115 by OOPz). Beware: i will release a new Screenshot of the Texture work today in the evening hours.

    Don't worry guys the addons on the weapon were more for testing purpose to see if my rails have the right size. @Donny: Yes the RAS is longer then regularly aviable for personal as it is a longered system for the G36KA4 featuring 6.8 mm - don't ask my why but its refering to Pictures i recived from some "friends" of mine. There will be a shorter version for the C though. @Fingoflin: there will be Versions with an AG36 but that currently is not on priority. The Plan is to get the basic done and then switch towards Equipment like the AG36, Sights and the LLM02 or other Scopes. The Handguard will sadly not the be RAS System then since they currently have no attachable Grenadelauncher planed for the System.

  19. My Advice would be start out learning with Johnnys SF MLOD Pack he thankfully made aviable to the community. It includes PSD Files for all needed Textures such as the _co and _nohq files of his SF Soldiers. Just taking a look into the files and realizing how they are made and operated might help you understand a basic method of texturing things for later use on 3d models.
