Many times when im playing, i end up pickling up a new weapon, only to hate the scope mounted on it.
i think it would be really good if we had the ability to remove the scope like you can IRL, maybe a specific category in the gear pane?

I cannot use a Raid 0 setup because my HDD's are 2 different sizes, but if Arma is MAXING my hardrives read speed, surely moving files over to a different hardrive would make it run faster? Since you have 2 separate platters being read at the same time? the main thing i noticed was loading speeds were a lot faster, and i had a lot less lag on Zargabad(lots of interiors)

I need some opinions on if this actually will work.
I noticed that Arma 2 uses a very high amount of disk read/writes, so i basically moves half of the games core files (building, anims, plants) to a second hard-drive, so im assuming that will lets me utilize the combined Read/write speeds of 2 hard-drives instead of just one?

a dual core will give you problems, it might, but it depends what map. Either way the CPU is really lacking.

So instead of running for cover and being a hard target, they should stop and stay still so you can shoot them all?If they did that, you would be right back here complaining about how the AI just drops to the ground and waits for death.
I have no idea what settings you could change, since you haven't told us why the AI were running in the first place. Were they travelling? Retreating? Flanking? Advancing? Regrouping?
I dont mean that, i mean if there's a group o them running and i shoot one, they are completely oblivious, they don't take cover, nor help him, they just keep running. Im gonna try to see about the Ultra AI/ precision, and ill edit this post with my results!

Today i was playing the mod "Flashpoint takistan" as a sniper, and i realized that the AI act like complete morons XD.
I have the AI on normal/75 difficulty, with "super ai?" off, and my main issue isnt how fast they get a bead on me, and that kind of stuff, my problem is that if im playing as a sniper,i see 6 enemies running, i would shoot one, and the others dont seem to care, literally, i would shoot 5/6 of them and the last would still keep running like a moron.
What settings would you recommend i change to improve/fix this? Or any mods!

Im not sure if this will work, however try using a arma 2 game launcher, it makes it a lot easier to turn mods on and off! and it might fix it!

hey everyone! I recently bought Arma 2:OA, and i friggen love it. The main thing i dislike though, is having to control squads, i love playing the game and trying to survive as a lone soldier.
Now, i have tried Flashpoint takistan and others, but they are getting a bit tedious/ Zargabad lags like a bitch! My main question is, can somebody reccomend me some good maps/addons that will let me play as a LONE solder, against other enemies(similar to the flashpoint series). Basically being a lone soldier stuck behind enemy lines trying to survive for as long as you can sorta thing! Similar to this video(im fine with 1 person in my squad):
My next question is, can someone please reccomend me some good maps, that are, how do i say it, more urban Russian sortof? I ONLY HAVE OPERATION ARROWHEAD STANDALONE THOUGH! Something like this:

TLDR VERSION:
I need mods similar to flashpoint, that let me play as a lone soldier in a behind enemy lines survival situation, on any map.
I need maps fore standalone OA, that are very urban/ wintery, similar to Russian cities!

Yeah thats what i meant, i mean just purely removing optics, and using iron sights, because also, what soldier randomly carries various scopes on them?
