And further on, many forms of discrimination have it's origins in not being free and government not treating everyone in the same way. But even if you don't agree, America needs to vote for Ron Paul. It's because of one big reason: monetary policy. If he doesn't win, the USA is screwed, they really are. In my opinion, if he gets elected, America will have a future for it's children. And if he wins and changes monetary policy, europe will have to change his to(or at least, the incentive will be much stronger), so I also will have a future. Imo, he really is what the world needs now. And if he brings the troops back, he can go to Obama's house and collect that nobel prize Obama didn't deserve.

I think multiplayer would be way more fun if hit in torso or head equaled dead. Someone making a dash to cross the street, you hit him once, he can continue and knows your position. It's just awfull. Same goes for many other situations where in real life the other guy would have died and you could continue in stead of him (try) killing you.

Recently I've tried to start with installing some mods. I've downloaded the files(zip) and put it in the right folder. But I can't see/acces the files in windows explorer. (I can however see the files in the screen you get when you want to upload or download something) screenshot: http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/2523/screenshotprobleem.png Anybody an idea/solution?

Planes F111 May seem strange at first, but in the future I do think this plane could re-enter service. And would be perfect for (the) Arma(verse) 3 why: *range *payload (large, but not silly like a B52) *price, it's cheap in service costs compared to certain modern planes (and those don't have it's range) *having no Air-to-air weapons would make it fun on the battlefield *Looks (it's just gorgeous) examples of somedifferent versions that exist on http://www.ausairpower.net/pig.html

225 Confirmed kills: The deadliest American sniper in history

I would just say he's a good soldier/warrior. -
I have the impression it changed in arrowhead. Don't know why, but weapons seems to kick back more in arrowhead then the normal version. And needless to say, the weapons that don't kickback much are often like trowing nails at people.

Does anyone have an opinion on recoil? In arma the machine guns can't be shot rapidly while standing, but look at this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=M2QaE1p3k08#t=389s

DF2, the first shooter and 3rd game I played (the first being MS Combat flight Sim and the second the DF1 demo) Love it to bits, I get a strange feeling when I recall all the missions, the atmosphere, the maps, that piece of cartboard you had to put over your keyboard, the animal noises, the screams of the enemy ("Da doe je nie!" :p), the voxel engine... My friends at school couldn't believe the map would go on forever. It was quite a surprise for me to learn one day that most, well all in fact, shooters had a limited map... I was really like  "What's the point of that" :p One shot= dead often, it was also a surprise for me to see how much you could take in other shooters. Anyhow, the game got lost over the years, I still have the booklet and box, but the CD disappeared.:( Until recently I saw in a store the complete DF-collection for something like 15-20 euro's... Didn't hesitate bought it and installed df2. It was disappointing to see how the graphics are now dull and bad, I seem to remember them way more sharp and better etc. The memory of how epic this game was, remains, but still I hope somebody, one day, with a lot of time, can make the graphic engine better(make the voxels smaller?) and just keep all the other stuff in the game. Really miss it. Back in the days when games came in a large cartboard box in stead of a plastic dvd case.

Gameplay Cursor to give commands how it works: It's an additional option to select units and give them commands. Hold a button ([ctrl] for ex.) and a cursor appears on your screen. With it, you can simply click on the units(at the bottom the screen) you want to isue a command to.

Arma 2 Addon request thread

Is there an island like the Isle of Man available? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/92/Isle_of_Man_topographic_map-en.svg/654px-Isle_of_Man_topographic_map-en.svg.png >100kb! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/98/Snaefell.jpg/799px-Snaefell.jpg http://www.bbc.co.uk/isleofman/content/images/2007/08/16/sky_psm_sound_470x300.jpg http://www.yourlocalweb.co.uk/images/pictures/03/20/ballakilleyclieu--isle-of-man-31181.jpg -
If spec ops are deployed for long time, they sometimes burry a container to hide/store their gear. I've seen this from the belgian army, where they just take a standard blue container and hide it in the ground. I think it could be a more realistic approach to ammo-boxes in certain cases. And you could store gear in them hidden on the island, for events to come. Would this be practical/usefull?

Problem with installing mods

It's not an illegal copy btw. -
I speak on my behalf, and I'm not a full time player, only have the game (ArmA2 and all extentions) I rarely play more than a few hours on a few days in the week after school. I play PvP or sometimes cti, never the coop or SP missions. (And yes, I know how the game works, without playing the whole campaign) And imo, those servers are just way more nice if you don't overact on gear. (a weapon, ammo, radio, map, bino, perhaps AT and nv) Also, in the future why would all that gear be replaced by hightech stuff? (to take the discussion to the timewindow of ArmA3) Over the past decade imo it's proven that the high-tech approach to war makes you winn a fight, but not a war. Soldiers who look like half robots and UAV's haven't won the hearts of the people in Afghanistan/Pakistan. And would we still have the money for those developments? Also the atmosphere in Arma2 was spot on, I really felt at home, while the more advanced extension Arrowhead was a bit emotionless, because of the environment, but also because of the more advanced gear and interface, I hope they'll do it better in ArmA3. :)

They can manage fine without it today, why wouldn't they in the future? I just asked if a plain helmet would still be available. I would prefer it being so.
-
Off course, would be most usefull on the small zodiac when trying to land.
-
Don't know the exact helmet types, just as long as it's a plain helmet it would be fine. :) I like the characters not to have all that complicated stuff on them when they don't need it.

Can't see those pics, but I mean something like this http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/photos/usphc7nx500a.jpg

What weapons/vehicles would you like to see in ArmA 3?

Noticed the custom helmets, will a normal helmet also be available?

Don't know if this is the right topic, but I would really like to have center mass body shots count deadly. If I fire a 9mm, 7.62 or AK round in your torso, you're down, the energie of the bullitt does so much damage these shots are lethal or at least make sure that you won't do much anymore on the battlefield. This was one of the things that really annoyed me at Arma 2, a guy on the run (crossing an open space), you take a shot, hit him in the torso once and he's not going down, can still run and probably knows your position. If you give the weapon the recoil it has (sometimes even more) you also can make the rounds count for what they're worth.
