    As stated before, really liking those sounds and scripts. A few questions though, Bigpickle: • Would it be possible to release the particle effects as a separate mod? Those over-the-top gore effects ruin the immersion (which gets more realistic with SOS btw) for me and as it seems for others, too. • Any chance to (optionally) get rid of the environmental battle sounds? Keep up the great work, won't start ArmA without your mod for the next weeks.

    I reaaally like the feel of the mod. Some things I'd like to point out: • Gunsounds and especially (distant) explosions are too quiet • Sounds sound too far away from a too close distance... maybe increase the sample-change threshold or how it's called...? • The Scorpion doesn't seem to work as soon as the mod is loaded, very likely a config error • Those Allahu Akbar Screams seem to be a bit unfitting Really like the mod so far, enjoying firefights much more and the sound sound authentic, meaning a single shot might not be impressive but as soon as a firefight starts it sounds natural and satisfying. Good luck!

  12. (Clickable Image) LSounds By Laxemann Hey Folks, so I'm messing around with sounddesign at the moment and kinda felt like doing some gun sounds for ArmA, my first addon by the way. I wouldn't say that they're mindblowing but I personally like them - and please keep in mind that I didn't intended to be better than BIS or anyone else. Features: • Soundreplacements for the following rifles: MX-family, Katiba-family, MK200, TRG21/20 • All sounds are from actual recordings of firearms, mostly the real-life pendants of the A3 weapons • Decreased Reverb, resulting in less/no flanging • Shouldn't clip anymore • The actual firing sounds are a bit more "mono", sounds more natural to me. • Signed + Key • Each weapon got it's own PBO so it's possible to leave a sound out if you don't like it. Video: >>DOWNLOAD<< So yeah, tell me what you think if you feel like doing so, hope one or another will enjoy them. ;) Feel free to host it on wherever you want'n stuff. Cheers!
  13. So, just tested it a bit. Here are some negative aspects I found for myself: • Color correction is unnecessary if you ask me • Blinking is unnecessary aswell, since the player in front of the PC blinks automatically, there is no need to "twink twice" The rest is really nice and I like it a lot, even tho... you know, the performance/RPT problem. :)

Thanks guys. @MasterDon, I think it's very hard to say which sound of a fired weapon is more authentic, since the actual "bang" is nothing but a short explosion, the rest (reverb, echo) depends on the environment you're in... However, when watching videos of actual firefights I think that the samples I used/the final product sounds more "authentic" or "lifelike" than BIS' original... but everyone got it's own taste :)

  19. Hey Glowbal, got another question. It seems as if only BLUFOR units could arrest and move people around. Is there any chance to add this option to Resistance and OPFOR units aswell?

    Seems to be nice but it doesn't work for me... i extracted the whole archive into my A2 folder, enabled all effects in the settings and loaded @swag but nothing changes at all... Any advice?
