  1. Yes ACE for Arma 2 had the wind turret adjustment feature if you have not tried it out maybe take a look. As for my suggestion of the spotting scope this is a real world tool used by sniper teams to help the spotter locate and call out adjustments on targets it would have a milradian reticle as with a spotting scope like the the Leupold 12x-40x with a milradian graduated reticle this would be for far out targets as with choosing the gear to take out on mission it depends on the missions. The ballistics calculator is by no means a user friendly tool if you don't know how to use it have the correct data and practice with it first. You would have to input all the data for your rifle as in type caliber and grain of bullet the muzzle velocity and ballistic coefficient, type of conditions that you sighted it in say @100 Yards, elevation, temp, humidity, Etc... distance of center of scope from center of barrel it's a lot involved but very useful once learned. But I understand that that's a bunch of work and I am fine with whatever you come out with I will use your mod and enjoy it just idea's. I like the urban hide plan that is really needed all the rooftops and towers in game but if you go up and take a shot of one the AI lock you quick and it turns into a death trap I would love to have some type of hide to use in the urban settings thumbs up man keep it up.
  2. Even though this mod has some kinks I like where your going with it. A few things that would help as well would be windage adjustments to zero out the scope, wind correction tables for different calibers, spotting scope, ballistics calculator to enter in all the info for the shot as in wind direction & strength, elevation, distance to target Etc... Also a option to pack your Ghillie suite into a backpack would be great. As for the hide awesome feature by the way what about having to pack a camo net in your inventory and a said amount of time to setup the hide so you can't just do it whenever with enemy units around also make it take up a large amount of room in the pack so if your working as a team with a spotter one of you will have to sacrifice some ammo or gear to hump it along. I'm sure these items are hard to make happen if I knew how I would give it a shot but when it comes to code I'm lost:) Keep up the great work man!

    So can someone walk me through how to setup the headless client on our dedicated server we rent? I have purchased a separate key so I can run the HC on my second pc which is working but from what I understand it's best to have the HC run off the same pc as your server for better communication between the 2? I used Naughts plug and play script from UO to put the AI on the HC maybe not the best way to do it but it works I see the HC taking the AI with Arma server monitor but I notice that on a few missions I try to set it up on the AI are spawning in and out strangely with the cache system that go's with the script what do you guys recommend to use for unit caching and putting the AI on the HC? Thanks for any help.

    Ok so I got the HC to work the way I have it setup is the HC is running of my pc connecting to the server which seems to work fine but the problem is that I can't join the server without being kicked as the latest patch has stopped one Arma key being used twice on one server I guess. So if I buy a second key and want to run the HC on my other pc in the same room how can I do this and will it work? I guess I would have to make a new e mail address and open a new steam account to run it? As per my previous post any example mission that is setup to run a HC would be greatly appreciated thanks.

    I have looked at that before don't you have to use DAC for that? If you could post a link to one of your missions that you run headless client on that would help a bunch so I can see how you have it setup thanks for the help.

Hello I have a question my unit is running a dedicated we rent and I need access to the difficulty settings to change some options as well this is what I have but not sure if the server is using this as I have disabled 3rd person in Veteran which is what we play on but I still can go to 3rd person view, do I have to setup Regular with the options or should this work and its not firing on my server thanks?     OK so I have setup our dedicated with the headless client line in the server.cfg made a separate Arma 3 shortcut that launches the dedicated host for the headless client but I'm lost on what I need to do to completely setup a headless client. What do I need to add in the missions? Also what is the process of launching the game as in do you start the headless client shortcut first then your game that you will play on and should the server be running the mission before you launch the headless client shortcut? Sorry if I missed somewhere this is posted I searched all over I could really use some help setting this up for my units missions thanks.

  10. I hope someone can help me I have tried everything to not end up in the water when trying to respawn on the deck of the Nimitz when we use it in our missions. I'm sure this has been covered somewhere by someone but I could not find a reference thanks for any response.
  11. Thanks fro the response TeTeT, we use BTC revive in our missions I will have a look into the files for the line you described. What if it is just the empty marker respawn_West how would I make that work? Also is it possible to teleport with a flagpole on the deck? Thanks again.
  12. So I need a way to make my mission with just one or two pilot slots that can respawn along with there choppers if they die so they will still be able to pick up the other players for extract. But I dont want anyone else to be able to respawn or any other vehicles is this possible?
  13. I wouldnt even know where to start with how to do that? I would like to use the waypoint code you gave me lastnight but the second chopper just keeps hovering and wont land after i fill the first one it wont take off because its waiting for all playable units to be inside but I cant fit all the players in one helo. How can I make that work for heli1 and heli 2?
  14. So I have the AI flying the choppers for pickup after the mission. I am using this in the waypoint dostop heli6; heli6 land "land" and this in the next for all the playble units ((!alive unit1) OR (unit1 in heli6)) AND ((!alive unit2) OR (unit2 in heli6)) AND ((!alive unit3) OR (unit3 in heli6)); it works great in the editor. The problem is when I extract it to multiplayer and play the mission the chopper lands turns of the engine like it should but when we jump in it wont leave because one of the units is not filled with a live player and it thinks he is still alive on the map somewhere even though I disabled AI before stating the mission and only the slots we filled spawn into the game. I tested it with a quick mission in the editor everything the same for the pickup try it in multiplayer and the same I can spawn in the AI unit with me and everything works perfect but if I disable the AI before the start the chopper wont leave when I get in. Does anyone know how to fix this I could really use the help thanks.

  18. I would like to know if there is a way I can add something into my mission folder that would make the mission only playable in Veteran mode as I intended it to be played? So when someone else runs the mission they can not run it on regular difficulty. Thanks for any help.
  19. I need help searched the forums but no one seems to cover this. My problem is this I enter this [group player, 1] setWaypointVisible false; into the units Init field and it works fine in the editor and single player you cant see the 1st waypoint, but when I extract the mission to multiplayer its there again. Any help would be appreciated this is driving me nuts I have messed with it for to long. Thanks
  20. Yea the problem is that it is a chopper extract and I need the waypoint. I have tried the above lines before and its the same outcome works in hiding the waypoint in the editor and single player but pops back up in multiplayer. I figure it could be the Beta but if someone knows if there is another line that works in both single and multiplayer and I am missing something please let me know how. Thanks
  21. I am curious how to consolidate all your mission addons and maps you use on your server to one downloadable folder for anyone who needs to get them to play on your server? I have seen this done were all the files you need are put into the right places for to play on the server but don't just go into your arma 2 folder and make a huge mess of things so kind of like a Mod folder. So if you want to uninstall those mission addons and maps its as simple as deleting that server file instead of searching every folder and trying to get rid of everything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks roadkill yes that's the LEA I was talking about. Hcpookie thanks for the response hope you reconsider making a ace version for this, if not maybe they will have this option in Arma 3 its a great idea and snipers should be able to make a hide instead of sitting out on the side of a hill.

    Hello I was wanting to have a sniper hide option for awhile now. Stumbled upon your addon today nice its just what I have been looking for. I to can not get it to deploy on ACE trying it in the editor hope you can figure it out so I can try this in game. I have a question I am running a domination map 2.60 with the ace mod how can I get this to work in the map where the sniper can deploy the sniper net like the machine gunner who can deploy a machine gun nest or the medic that can deploy a med tent? I would be happy with finding out how I can just add the camo net backpacks to the backpack ammo box. Also how could we get the option in the load out editor for Arma "LEA" in the ruck section? Thanks keep up the gd work.
