    wait a second?... you can give controls to copilits now?... awesome! i will jump to roof if overall flight dynamics of TOH FM will present, even without startup and shutdown procedures and stress damage... this is combined arms sim anyway, so i'm okay if we would not see these two. but being able to set proper flight model in difficulty settings is the most anticipated feature of arma 3.

    can't say it better well, some people may not need it, some may do need. afterall arma is all about choices, keeping it optional will be really sweet, so peoplee who would like to become better pilots will have a fm to strive for.

    i own whole set. joystick, throttle, pedals, track ir and i'm just being honest that all of these are mostly useless in arma unless you have a peoper flight model you don't need to buy any special equipment to fly in toh. equipment like that makes it more authentic. nothing more. if you can't fly for shit you would not flight or shit no matter if you got a set of devices for bunch usd or not. it will be also helpful if people who leave a comment about how they think TOH fm handling actually try it first instead of discussing their assumptions on game they never played. for now it looks more like a chatter women restroom: "-ah gosh i heard Jennys's friend's stepsister that live in australia met a guy who was so hot! " if you have no idea how toh handes - find out before discussing it. thanks.

    excuse me, did you ever played within community? i bet no. assuming that people will go for easiest settings to get the cutting edge is not about nature of arma. we play arma because we want more realistic experience. if we would want to play some arcade we would go to bf/cod series, would not we? and thanks for calling me an idiot, thats really make a point.

    helicopter handling mostly. i can live without trims, atlaest on 3 basic expert flight models presented like light, hediuma nd heavy helicopters (excluding hinds, there i need some trimms) to describe it more it's about helicopter being a helicopter, controll over collective, need to compensation of main rotor rotation on lift and descention. hard to explain. you need to feel it. once you got familiar with it you start to feel how to handle your helicopter and it becomes a lot more comfortable on let's say landing and overall flight. i mean it's not a floating piece of soap anymore but something close to helicopter, so you can be precise and confident about how your helicopter will fly.

    Greetings fellow bf/cod l33t pvp playa I assume you just jumped into arma and you are still quite new around here and dind't get familiar with the game, which is okay thing afterall. It may be really hard for you to understand that arma is game which is based on TEAMWORK and where lone person mean nothing at all. If you have assumptions that arma is some kind of general shooter where you rewspawn, go some zerg rush gunblazing and then respawn again you are a little bit wrong. Here in arma mostly everything is depends on tactics, which also used in military. one fireteam consist of 4 people one squad consist of 2 fireteams one platoon consist of 4 squads which most often means that you have around 32 persons only infantry, without air assets, tanks and lavs, on ONE SIDE which often goes like 60 vs 60 players. now compare organized platoon of people who actually know what they are doing and have common goal to your marginal fun of "we play together alone" in your favorite bf/cod where everybody runs around like headless chikens. now dear sir, may i ask you, did you ever was a part of massive organized platoon vs platoon tvt?.. i bet no. if you belive that ramboing or playing with 1-3 friends is "good" teamwork, you probably never experienced arma. ah wait a secod.. may be all pvp fun as you imagine it is dumb zerg rush alone with respawn?... ah boy you surely do. and surely you know better because you are l33t pvp playa, right? I would recommend you to actualy learn a thing you are talking about, otherwise, please do not jump into discussions you have no clue about. not like it hurt my eyes, but it make you look atleast stupid. being as polite as i could with ignorant people who have no idea what they are talking about.     for people who never played actual arma tvt, i suggest to check out some communities like UO, as it was already suggested. but to play proper tvt you should not be a 14 y/o retard who run anround and do whatever he want but follow your squad leader or fireteam leader. and this is why gametypes like wastelad or dayz are popular, because they require no organisation at all. it;s a concept we play together alone. while nothing can be as fun as tvt in organized squads with proper radiocomms etc. the question of maturity.

    never listen to dsl, he is full of s****, and will block you from discussion if you disagree with him, he also work for bis, and he promote some various devices from various manufacturers which are practicly useless for arma, while he imply otherwise. let's say udder pedals from CH. of course they are good, but it's a no way to buy expensive CH products flight gear to play arma, especially when fm don't require rudders as much as you use in more descent flight games. same goes for track ir, which is quite fun and expensive toy to play with but it's clearly NOT as usefull for infantry, as for jets aerobatics where it's essential. from what i see seems like it's more like pr "damage control" bullshit from a "guy from community" while he clearly not since he employed at bis.

    i can perform star wars aerobatics on expert on TOH just aswell. and i feel way more comfortable to do landings and low altitude raids on expert FM. and no, toh is not TOO realistic. it realistic enought to feel that you are flying a rotorwing instead of floating in space. but it's not as realistic as black shark or x-plane flight models, so it's not "hardcore" or "realistic" it's a nice compromiss between arcade FM and realism. Exacly what arma need... if person can't fly for shit he would not be able to fly no matter what's the difficulty. if person can fly he can do it on any difficulty. to put it simple: if person crash helicopters in arma 2, he will crash them in arma 3 fm, trying to keep it 'accesible' artificially only make things worse. if person want to fly he will learn. if person want to snipe he will learn how to. trying to appeal to people by removing any kind of learning curve making games dull and overall faceless like general shooters. TOH expert fm is COMFORTABLE to transport and it's comfortable for gunruns. but sure, leaving adjustable fm settings will be good idea for completely hopeless cases, even tho it would not help the case.

  13. password it. we run training missions at our community and use teleporting and spawning features. arma is not bf/cod and don't expect it to be the same. why it's like that? because due nature of game (milsim roots, VR training) arma traditionally tend to "trust" players and don't generally expect players to "cheat" thus why we have such possibilities. it's not about game. it's abou people. on side note, if you bought arma due official alpha state to play it instead of testing, you are doing something wrong.

    had some TOH session today and a3 session. i would like to say that a3 choppers flight model feels COMPLETELY WEIGHTLESS and FLOATY AS HELL what in the end give a feeling that i fly UFO instead if helicopter. TOH flight model (expert) even if buggy as hell will be always better than current UFO. accessibility is good thing, but TOH expert FM is a must to have in alpha or atleast beta.

  19. testing out alpha lite version. what i like so far: i can change my controls back to arma classic controls. what i need to get used to: a tad confusing inventory system compared to a1, a 2, settings are separated and what i don't like so far: movement speed is a bit too fast, but it's not that bad as it looked like in youtube videos. just finished infantry showcase, and so far everything is as it should be well except i need to get used to recoil. i'm quite positively surprised since i expected red river of failure but you guys did everything alright my only concern so far is difficulty levels i mean 3rd person and markers

    i own track ir 5 i use it ALOT when i fly fighter type of planes. i use it way less when i fly helicopters. i use it sometimes when i walk around as infantry. i don't use it while i drive
