  1. colum, thank you for responding. Please keep in mind I am rather new with all this.

    I do not own a ts3 server. I play alone with 2 of my friends. We open a private channel in the "free" public server that comes with Teamspeak. I searched everything I could in options, but everywhere permissions are concerned, it says I do not have sufficient to modify anything...

    I have notice something, regarding our issue. If we leave TS settings to default, and hotkey acre to one of the mouse buttons, the problem does not occur as often, or most lately, at all. What could be the reason ??

    another very content acre user here....up till lately

    after being cursed by steam to the latest version 1.62, six updater helped me to put all the versions back on track, and go through the jayarma2lib debacle.

    But now, something totally weird is happening. Playing with only one friend, and at the start of a mission, everything is working, we use "commchecks" every few seconds to see if it works. And it does. And then all of a sudden, the radio transmission button gets weird, so that we only hear eachother as if talking normally, but the squeekof the radio can still be heard (just the voice is not distorted). And then moments later, the teamspeak lady goes ballistic, saying error error error, and those red spam notifications flood our channel. After that we need to cool of for a few minutes, due to roid rage, because we both cherish our belongings.

    ANY ideas, please ?

    ive missed this option since the original flash. I had a huge break from playing sometime after arma vanilla came out, and started playinga again so please forgive me if something like this already exists, and be kind enough to point me in its direction :D

    basically alot of times during play, there are cases where it would be great if I could give the command of the squad under me to another human player for a while. Or split the team of 7 into 2 groups, one 4 other 3 guys. Im guessing the easiest way to do this is via console, which should call a script or two.

    on second note does anything of the sort exist already ??

    mad props for the quick reply.

    could you please help me with some hints as to what to replace/change/delete. I am having some consistency issues I think, certain sounds get confused wether which soundpack to use, and thus end up with errors and or silence.

    How should I merge the folders with ACE so JSRS is exactly the one that uses the sound conversion.

    I play arma2 combined ops with 2 of my friends. We have it modded, to perfectly tailor to our wishes, ace, acre and all. Since alot of the coop missions are made for big player groups we usually have to resort to several AI units. Which is fine, but sometimes lack in immersion because of some weird AI behavior sometimes. Because of this, most of the missions including any type of Air combat/support besides scripted infil exfil is strictly a nogo.

    Is there a mission out there, where one of the players could take on the role of a heli pilot, providing insertion, after that holding pattern, target ID and support from above, and then provide exfil at certain locations. The other two players would work on the ground, with one or two team leaders (i.e. two squads with commands each, or one player command the other in the same group)

    much obliged animal, very, very nice missions.

    I have one question though, about Crash and Grab, that was bundled when I installed ace.

    when me and my friends get to the pilot, and open the gates, he just runs somewhere and crouches behind a building. As teamleader I cant issue any orders, and with him being stubborn he always dies in the middle of firefights.

    Its getting impossible to finish the mission, even after careful planing and when everything goes to plan, he doesnt want to do anything. At best he goes prone, crawls 5meters one way, then stands up, and gets killed, or repeat step 1, and then get killed.

    we are using complete ace, with acre and asr ai mod.

    are we doing anything wrong ??

    i cant say for documentation, but how I use it is :

    when you come to a wounded comerade, you press the button for interaction, and choose Examine. The game will then tell you what is apparently wrong with the wounded person and suggest what to administer in order to heal. If he is unconscious epinephrine, if he is in pain morphine, if he is bleeding bandages, etc...provided you have someone on the team that has that of course...

    however I have come across missions where Examine button was simply greyed out. Hope it helps some !

    And one of my own questions. Id like to edit some missions that came bundled with ace2, but cant find them anywhere. Where should I look ??

    and for the record, I havent installed ASR on top of Zeus, that would be a mess. I think I even read it from you metalcraze (please dont get mad though if I mixed up :)) to use only the findcover.pbo and its respective bisign key from Zeus, and put others into disabled.

    I will try it without zeus altogether, and see where it takes me

    Ive installed this mod, over the Zeus AI, most of the guys there seemed to jump shit to here.

    I have a few questions about my experience in the last two days

    -squad mates tend to be very slow, lenient. I have to wait on them all the time, and constantly issue return to formation, or advance orders; I am no army commander IRL, so dont know how this works in reality, but it kinda breaks the rhythm of movement. To wait the guys every 50 m, because they are 100 m behind me.

    - is there a way to check out 100% that the mod is in effect, besides it being loaded on the main screen when game loads ?

    what an excellent mod !! What is the approx range of the default radio PRC 343 ??

    EDIT : I guess I spoke too soon. TS gets "desynced", after i die a few times, and we restart the mission. Now, again it says Arma connected no, no matter what I try. How to run arma as admin if I run it off steam ??

    thanks for the swift response. I have forwarded this information. But we do both use the steam versions of arma, i suppose that changes something ? He is trying to run TS3 as admin and we are in the process of experimenting with your idea

    EDIT : here is additional info. i created a channel, where we speak through teamspeak in case something is wrong. And it says here

    ACRE:

    Version: 1.3.12

    ArmA2 Connected: No

    but acre is ticked under plugins..confused

    first off, happy new year, and keep on keeping on with this excuisite mod!!

    I have some issues though with a friend of mine.

    His mod loads up, he has the correct acre equipment in inventory, but cant transmit anything. He can hear me talking, but just normal chat, no radio keying effects for start and end of transmission that acre is know for. Just normal teamspeak. I used caps lock PTT for acre transmit, disabled arma2 original PTT alltogether-no shortcut. It showed the transmitting tab bottom right, along with the sound effects on my end.

    I couldnt hear him in any scenario, just through the normal PTT for teamspeak, which we have setup for CTRL button. When he used the capslock PTT, for acre, I heard him, but it looked liked he was broadcasting through original arma voip, because his name flashed in green, bottom left. When he tries the shortcuts, leftctrl leftshit x or v or the other acre uses, nothing happened.

    he uses 64bit teamspeak with respective 64 bit dll for the acre plugin. I use 32, could this be one of the reasons ??

  13. hi Demonized. Thank you millions for taking the time and guiding me in. You solved every single issue I had up to now.

    I do have another question though....When I export the mission, the MPMissions folder gets the new pbo file, lets say MissionA.pbo and the MissionA folder with its sqm file. I then fill this folder with the rest of the files from the "unmodified" mission that i unpacked. But now, I have two choices of the same "new" map when I create a server.

    one says the correct info on max slots, respawn and this, the other one says unknown at all 3. I can play both of them, but is this some kind of an issue ? Should I delete any of the files from above so I only have 1 mission
