    Hello!

    As you can see i'm known as Reher. I am looking for an ACE/ACRE tactical realism unit.

    I have about 10-11 years of experience of playing with these kinds of units(in different games), 70% of the time being leading either on fire team level or on platoon level if it comes in handy. I've played ArmA 2 since it's beta phase. Having used ACE/ACRE for about two years+ i am confident in how most of it works.

    I would primarily like to be part of an infantry team but i also have experience with most of the vehicles(however more familiar with helicopters than jets and tanks/APCs).

    I prefer Co-Op missions, be they insurgency or unit tailored scenarios/missions, but can submit to playing PvP.

    I'd like to find a special operations/forces unit having had most of my tactical realism experience with these, however i of course don't mind any other kinds of units.

    What i also can bring to the table is some real life military experience. Because of my experience with the game, realism units and real life, i learn fast since i know most of what is taught in trainings.

    (I'd prefer to join a unit in roughly the same time zone, but as long events are conducted at a time where i can participate i'll join.)

    If teamwork is the game then i hope i might be your man!

    You're pretty much guaranteed to see me on every weekend i can, however don't expect to see me every week day.

    3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marines!

    (More in depth operating as 1st Battalion "Lava dogs")

    We are a casual realism unit that plays ACE mod and uses ACRE. "Casual" as in we don't have training phases you are required to do every week.

    The unit has been around for over 6 months dating back to early April.

    We play every weekend we can, as people work/have school on weekdays, mainly at times around/after 20 PM GMT.

    We are only a small unit, about 5 mates who play with each other working through teamwork.

    Even though we are small, we are quite serious when we get into it.

    As you can probably gather from this post we are looking to get a few more members to play with.

    The 3rd Marines has a full structure of ranks(up to captain) along with some MOS's

    and a company structure with fire teams.

    We do NOT do boot camps, Some training occurs, but not weekly or strictly.

    We believe that most people already know ArmA as a game before getting into ACE,

    If you don't know all the ACE/ACRE stuff, it's taught on the fly as we go.

    However no ArmA 2 basics will be taught, We don't have time and we expect that you know them if you play ACE.

    To all in this topic:

    SOLUTION FOR STEAM USERS!

    () - Indicate edits to the instructions by me.

    Start steam as admin

    Get to DLC page for ACR (in the Steam Store.)

    Should say play(now) since you've already bought it

    hit play choose ACR (in the "select a CD key window)

    then it will install and there will be a folder (In the ArmA directory to launch with your other mods like BAF and PMC did)

    For me this is the ONLY way to launch ACR. Were i to launch ArmA 2 OA or Combined Ops it would no longer appear even after using the store page method. Meaning i'd have to launch steam as admins and run from the store page whenever i'd want to play with ACR units. I also have some friends who can't launch ACR despite that method, suppose it'd require a full re-install. This is sort of sad as it makes it that much harder to make maps with the ACR units running with mods or not, and even when i have managed to make costume missions/scenarios my mates can't join my since their ACR won't won't work ><

    It does feel like a loss from a amateur map making perspective to not be able to use the new stuff available to me. Does anyone know if there is a chance for a future hotifx for this?

    Me and a few friends are working on creating a Marine unit based on the 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Regiment as a mature tactical group.

    We need people who can bring ideas and are willing to help out. We have the basics set up such as structure, ranks and MOS.

    We are only 3 people for now so there's lots of potential to grow, although we're not really planning to grow larger than maybe 20 players.

    New Permanent TS server bat.clanwarz.com:1104.

    We're currently looking for infantrymen. Must be mature! Preferably age 16-18. Required for both Operation Arrowhead and ArmA 2. We need Sergeants, LTs, CPTs, and most of all new recruits! 6th Division now also features a steam group!

    The unit is small still and it must grow! There is good base and structure, it just lacks people. Help us fill our fire teams & squads and join us trying to have some good fun!

    Also looking for anyone with time on their hands to command and play with those who want to and have enough time to play more than once every wednesday!

    You can find us on TS3 at either ts.22nd.eu(this server is mainly for that "other game") in the "6e" channels or at our privately hosted server 90.224.109.43

    Our weekly sessions are every Wednesday at 1700 GMT(Zulu).

    And as it states, the 17+ is not a must, most of our members are actually younger than that.

    There's a need for at least one or two NCO's and maybe an officer or two.

    Welcome to the 6th Division!

    The 6th Division features infantry, air and armor.

    We are an up and coming group that originally got started by popular demand from players of another game.

    We try to go by a US army ranking system and keep it flowing in and off the game.

    The structure is also inspired from US forces. 1 fire team = 6-8 people, 1 squad = 2 fire teams 1 support team etc.

    We also try to keep a tactical standard enforced by LtC Reher.

    We are currently recruiting new members to bolster our ranks and build up our infantry section!(Primarily European players)

    (Our times follow the timezones GMT and GMT+1/CET)

    It's a bonus if: you do have experience with the game, can script/make missions.

    ArmA 2 free players are also welcome!
