    @NordKindchen: How are the tree/bush shadows implemented? Are they part of the mid-range? And is there a way to add them to your mid-range replacement project?
  6. Have you considered overclocking that 2500k? Arma is heavy on the CPU, you would gain a lot by simply overclocking from let's say 3.7 Ghz turbo to 4.2 Ghz turbo. A relatively cheap upgrade path would be to go with GTX 760 (£200). Or, if you choose to overclock your old 2500k, you can invest more and get GTX 770 (£320) which should be plenty for Arma 3.

    Tested on mid-range GTX 460 (1GB). Not seeing any crashes or performance issues. Used HWInfo to monitor GPU load and memory usage - can't see any significant difference. Here are a couple of screens for comparison: WITH and WITHOUT. Great job :) Edit: Is there any way to bake in tree/bush shadows in the mid-range?

    Arma 3 did improve the sound engine (adding filters and stereo sounds) which JSRS 2.0 is planning to use.
  10. The way I see it - the OP didn't ask what content will be in the release. The question is if any major engine features will be implemented on the release version that are currently not available on the dev/beta versions. The answer is no, the release version will essentially be the dev/beta version + more content.

    There is one building in Stratis that is large enough and is repeated multiple times near the airport. I remember seeing in the feedback tracker devs mentioning they will "consider" making it enterable as well. Well, it never happened :/ And yeah, looks like the corners are being cut with Altis buildings as well.
  12. The full screen NVG bug is still present and lots of issues with rain. Sometimes you can hear raining sounds but there is no visual rain. Also, no rain is visible while driving + the issues with buildings.

    The nginx is misconfigured on the feedback tracker and is limiting the upload size. Was like this from day 1.. You can't even upload ZIP'ed crash logs without getting that nginx "request body too large" error..

    I am curious how was the new lightning sound recorded? It sounds nothing like lightning where I live, more like an offroad crashing into a building :)

  17. A bug with lowered handguns in dev build: 1. Switch to a handgun 2. Lower the handgun 3. Single mouse right click (for iron sights) 4. Walk forward You will see your vest on the screen in first person view.

  19. This should not be possible: 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
  20. Tested again - and you are right, it's partially fixed. You can still peek if you don't have a weapon, however.
  21. Did they fix that? I just tested - and can still peek to/from the buildings near the walls.

  23. Sounds are way off. Try using brakes and let me know if you can hear anything. Also, the bug where you can turn off the engine and can go at constant 30kmph with your engine off is still there from the early Alpha :/
  24. I think the quadbike sounds are top-notch now, but the offroad needs some more work. The model is modeled with open windows, yet it feels like you are driving an electrical car from inside. Also, can barely hear tire/brake sounds.
  25. What's up with vehicle sounds? I can barely hear quadbikes and offroads now.
