    You know what's even more frustrating? Spending your free time making something for OTHERS to enjoy then having to deal with crap like this. If you're that worked up about it why not post your mission and error logs for him to check out? Perhaps help the process instead of hindering it? Trust me kid we see this all the time and if this is your attitude in life.. well... good luck then :)

  5. Have you tried by subnet? 192.168.0.0/24
  6. What kind of access do you have to your server? Full desktop? Just FTP and TCAdmin (or some other control software)? Does it shut down 'consistently' ie: at the same time during mission load, restart, whatever or is it really random? The server's RPT file is the 1st place to check as well as a file called server_console.log to see if any errors are generated.

    I see under Regular you still have 3rdPersonView = 1 - are you sure you're not starting the server on "Regular" mode instead of veteran? Even better change the Regular settings to match Veteran exactly. ** Note that when you are in-game and reset the mission or server using the admin command #missions - it will default to Regular difficulty you will need to select Veteran before starting the mission **

  13. Sorry man I'm outta ideas... other than create a simple test mission for 4 players and see if people still get kicked (but I doubt it has anything to do with the mission itself). I would open a support ticket with BIS - they will require RPT logs and other information.
  14. Great glad you were able to narrow it down!! How many AI are we talking here (ones that are hand-placed into buildings)?   16. Yeah just disable them temporarily for testing. So this problem happens before the planes reach the AO correct? Have you tried mando's script in a clean mission with just the planes, etc? If it works fine there then perhaps a conflict between scripts in the mission...

Great idea - suggestions before even downloading it: 1- hook it into VAS at some point so not only can we spawn a vehicle but customize it's loadout? 2- options to customize look of vehicle like you mentioned - diff textures, etc Well done!! Have you considered doing the same for VAS? ie: ability to have different VAS boxes with diff content (or is that not possible?). Thanks for all your hard work
  18. The Missions/MPMissions folder in the Arma install dir is only for pbo'ed missions. For editable ones (folder) they have to go under your Arma profile stored in MyDocuments as Kylania mentioned.

    I don't think it works for placing objects at a negative elevation though (ie: in the ground) whereas the setpos line allows you to do this (just an FYI)

  21. Got your PM I'll check out the mission tonight. OK a barrage of questions.... From the video it seems that the problems start once you are in the planes? What if, for testing, you skip that part of the mission and teleport yourself to the AO? (ie: eliminate mando takeoff script as a possible issue) It does not seem like DAC is the problem as those zones are not activated when the stuttering starts. Here's what I would also try: Disable the non-dac caching script, disable coretime.fsm, disable FPS manager, disable cly_removedead - test What other scripts (if any) run when you get in the planes? Are there a bunch of triggers that are activated by aircraft flying over them?

  23. Sent you a PM Burdy :eek: What are you using to cache the non-DAC units and are you using DACs built-in reduce function for the DAC groups? Have you tried a fresh mission with just the DAC stuff to see if it's related to that? You said "before the DAC stuff is activated" - are you delaying the DAC init until later in the mission?
  24. A lot of mods come with userconfig files to tweak various settings. These files ALWAYS go into the root of your Arma install in a folder called Userconfig. The @ASR_AI download would have come with such a folder/file. Simply copy and paste to your Arma dir. So it would look like this: Arma2installDir\Userconfig\asr_ai\asr_ai_settings.hpp
  25. Why no verifySignatures? I would also disable regularcheck="{}"; at least that's what I've been lead to believe in the past and we have it disabled on our server.
