  1. Awesome thanks for releasing these... great idea!! Does anyone else have trouble with the 3 x hesco with plank ramp in this pic? http://www.noelshack.com/2013-43-1382681615-arma3-2013-10-25-07-59-15-40.jpg It seems hit or miss whether or not my guy can climb the ramp and stand on the lower hesco (I know it's not the template causing this just curious if others experience it).
  2. No matter what you decide Vilas the 'real' community appreciates your hard work and all that you've released for Arma
  3. Strange.. are you running ACE on this server?
  4. I would test with another mission (not Life) to make sure that it's not something in the mission itself causing the freeze/disconnects. Your server is more than powerful enough to handle anything Arma 2 can throw at it. What is a bit odd is the closing of the server console does not kill the arma2 server process. Have you tried re-installing arma on the server?
  5. I don't think so... IIRC the work on the PDB and MSO versions for Arma 2 has pretty much ceased (they are awaiting the 1.63 patch to release a final version of MSO for A2). I assume the work being done now is for ALIVE and the A3 version of the PDB software. Please correct me if I am wrong :p

    [Coop ACE] Delicate Balance

Thanks again one can never have too many quality ACE missions
  7. Sounds very interesting fabrizio... can't wait to take it for a spin!!
  8. No I was just trying to show you what the folder structure should look like in your Arma install directory. If you've setup mods on your own PC before then the process is pretty much the same. I would check this thread first (option 2): http://www.armaholic.com/plug.php?e=faq&q=18 There are also some good videos there to show you how. RPT file should be generated in the root of your Arma install directory. If you don't see an .rpt file then your server is not setup properly - most likely missing the -name parameter Check here for more server setup info: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147537-Tutorial-How-to-run-ArmA3-on-a-dedicated-server
  9. No sounds like you've done it right. PBO files for each addon should go into the respective @mod\Addon folders. So the path would read: ArmaInstallDir \ @ACRE \ Addons \ ACRE pbofiles and bisign files ArmaInstallDir \ @CBA \ Addons \ CBA pbofiles and bisign files Each mod will have it's own .bikey file which is required if you are using verifySignatures=2 param in your server .cfg file. These files go in: ArmaInstallDir \ Keys Some mods have a userconfig file which will have an .hpp extension. None of the 3 mods you are using has one I believe but if so it would go in: ArmaInstallDir \ Userconfig \ ModnameFolder \ Filename.hpp If you still have issues I would recomment posting your servers RPT file for us to look at http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?156444-How-To-Server_Console-log
  10. Yes you'll need to upload the pbo files as well although from your screenshot of the Arma directory it looks like you've done that already (at least the folders are there). ACRE, CBA and jayarma3lib must have the pbo files on the server and launched at start (using -mod= parameter) whereas sthud is client-side only ... meaning all you need to do is add the sthud bikey file to your Arma\Keys directory on the server.
  11. *Group Hug* :o Do you plan on making this an MP-compatible mod at some point or should I just shut my mouth? :p Sorry re-read 1st post. OK now I'm extra curious as to what exactly this is... seeing as TWPCAS and ASR_AI are moving to Arma 3...
  12. Make sure you have the latest versions of ACRE and jayarma3lib (use PWS or Six-Updater) as there were problems in the past with server key files for both mods... perhaps you have older versions?
  13. I'd love to help test. Lots of experience using AI mods (maybe not ChrisB level but...): DAC UPSMON GL4 ASR_AI TPWCAS

    Patrol Ops?

F3 Mission Framework has a crew restriction option and I've used other scripts that do work in Arma 3
  15. I assume your server access is through TCAdmin or some other type of control panel software? If so you'll need to upload (FTP) the mod files to your server first.. using a unique folder for each mod.. just like you'd do it on your PC. Then you need to adjust the startup parameters in the control software and add a line like this: -mod=@CBA_A3; @jayarma3lib; @ACRE; @sthud Make sure you also have any \userconfig files added (don't think there are any for those particular mods). If your server is using signature checking (which it should be) make sure you add the mod .bikey files to the \Keys folder in your Arma install.

    newbies mission with errors :(

Don't think so just checked my PMs again and nothing from you
  17. Any errors will be in server_console.log, net.log, or your RPT file.... depending on the type of error. So if I'm reading you correctly you login via RDP, startup the server (and the server console window shows on your desktop?) and disconnect the session... leaving it running? I've done this many times without any issue.. other than the fact that RDP sessions have a time limit applied - once the disconnected session reaches that limit it will log you off. You can change this under Administrative settings > Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.

    UPSMON for arma3

Yeah don't use it :p Seriously though I tried using it once to avoid the AI group doing any flanking behaviour but I found it just made the AI stupid
  19. Wolffy's script teleports the unit to the housepos I believe. The garrison script it is an option - they can teleport at mission start or actually move to the housepos instead (also can be done in a trigger onAct).
  20. In Arma 2 with @ASR_AI it was required on the server and headless client

There is a lot they don't teach to kids anymore but that is not for this thread. Think about it for a second man. You come into the authors thread asking a question (actually not even asking.. just stating "So it's not fixed yet??"). Right there you've set the aggressive tone. He's answered this question X times before including the previous two pages.. he's had a long day.. whatever. He's sick of answering this question but at least he gives you an answer. Was the emoticon necessary? Probably not. Can I understand why it's there? For sure. Then think about all the posts on this forum where people are demanding X and Y and generally being dicks about it (if you don't read these forums a lot then trust me it's like a disease these days). Anyway this is getting us nowhere.. can we just kiss and make up? Edit: sorry MagDogX you ninja'd me

I think you need to take less away from the emoticons in posts. Here is the post you are referring to?? I assume the rolleyes is there because he's answered the question 500 times already.. .not gonna check the whole thread. Don't take that personally my friend... I'm sure he's not thinking "Oh that Linkage guy is a fucking idiot".... he's thinking "not this question again". Your subsequent posts do come off as aggressive perhaps you should re-read them. Also respect is earned, not implied. Anyway sorry for hijacking the thread :) We should probably stop here.

Sorry I don't usually make angry posts.. I had not had enough coffee yet. I don't mean any insult with the 'kid' remark. I'm just saying check the attitude.. it's HOW you ask for help that is important. I don't care who's emoticon pissed off who... at the end of the day you are asking for assistance it's important that you don't come across as a dick. The author IS helpful to those who ask as you can see from the rest of the thread.
