Except the numbers, the same could be said for western Ukraine (and even for Kiev!) and new government. Read what I write. STOP with this slippery slope crap already! It doesn't matter what the premise is. Everybody knows it's about strategic goals. But they're welcomed there! EDIT: As for the photos, I feel some of them may be pre-scripted for political purposes...

Are you blind? Don't you get that eastern Ukraine is pro-Russian? Seriously, you're the worst. You don't care about people, you care only about your twisted ideology feelings. EDIT: I wish UA would be part EU (not considering all the EU problems now) for no valid reason. I'd just sleep better. But you have to be realist and not look at world through your ideology glasses. To me it seems that UA split is best possible outcome now.

New pro-Russian protest in east: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a08_1393696962 People don't seem to be disturbed by Russian army presence: http://imgur.com/a/wm4He

Is Poland mobilizing army already o.O? I heard some rumors along with picture of enroll-form. Vilas, please investigate :3.

IMHO it only makes sense for Putin to take pro-Russian territories by force show-off when current government tries to separate Ukraine from Russia as much as possible. In other words, resisting it would be stupid (and deadly). Sure, Putin may only be interested in strategic positions. But as side effect it'd make Russian speaking pro-Russian minority part of Russia and new Ukraine wouldn't have to deal with new protests. Maybe I'm oversimplifying a bit... Of course full Ukraine invasion would be something very different but I don't think it'll happen.

I'm still misinterpreting a bit.... but OK. It was better than Nazi occupation I guess :\.

Little bit off-topic... I don't think that forced ideology, constant lying and exploiting part of post-war Europe for geopolitical reasons "wasn't so bad". I heard some former USSR general in some documentary saying that without 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia there could be WW3. I don't buy such geopolitical explanations. If people under regime weren't happy then there was no point in holding it except for the elite in charge of course. I'd also say that severe corruption and inferior economics in post-communist countries is in big part thanks to the communism (=> USSR elites) though I'm not gonna list reasons why now, it should be obvious. So yeah, USSR was bad until it collapsed. And of course it's 2014 and I'm not trying put guilt on people today.

Pointing to infamous problems of famous side is good thing. Nationalism is BS. Just because you used to coexist in past doesn't mean that Putin has any entitlement to control people who want to live independently. Austria-Hungary used to coexist too.
-
You're textbook example as well then. Pointing to problems on both sides is not nationalism.

There are even people in Kiev who speak Russian and are more or less pro-Russian, which doesn't mean they're pro-Putin/Stalin, but that they have sympathy or feelings for Russian people, culture, ... That law downgrading status of Russian language is indeed stupid move IMHO.

With regard to firearms, dunno who crossed the line first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mTO9CVdsqQ Obviously some news (*cough* RT) pinpoint only this while other news pinpoint only police snipers... And of course shooting unarmed people is just wrong. And screw the police, they were a$$holes first...
-
I can't read RT news about this. It's so biased. Seriously, I couldn't care less about police getting fire. I heard that from friend. They're supposedly heroes for (western) half of Ukraine. I certainly wouldn't want these lowlifes http://imgur.com/a/1ghhi/ to be remembered or to have any word on future of my country if I were Ukrainan. On the other hand, if I were Ukrainan, I'd hate to see Putin influence in my country, passing anti-gay, anti-protest, Internet-censorship-in-the-name-of-children-lol and other fascist laws... Certainly, the government could've helped the situation with referendums much much sooner... I guess I can't talk for them...

These are all MP-only games: Xonotic: Fast FPS shooter with great community. Check also movie. There's even Vehicle CTF.Spring RTS: Best RTS I've ever played with a lot of mods from WW2 to future-pew-pew. I recommend NOTA mod. Hedgewars: Worms clone. Smokin' Guns: Western shooter with Counter-Strike like mechanics. Unfortunately, last time I tried it was dead (EU servers). QuakeLive was and still runs natively on Linux. However, Zenimax announced they'll go standalone and drop Liunx/Mac support with this funny message:

Explosion should also destroy your ears, which should disable suppression effect, because without hearing incoming bullets what would be the point, right? Inb4 unpleasant facts is trolling

Then pick correct intent. So far it's a) Handicap others because I'm being killed by people returning fire and I just can't hit them. b) Training wheels for newcomers to force them doing what I'd expect in real-life. As this thread goes on you pick one of them dependning on the arguments you have to counter. @ScratcH334: Of course AI should simulate some kind of fear/stress/suppression.
-
Interesting thoughts. I've never thought like that but it makes sense. Suppression effect proposed here has nothing to do with injuries though. But I kinda understand what you mean (scream, treating wounds, morale, ...).
