  1. Hi there, just wanted to report that when I try playing with the P85 mods, the game crashes. It says "cannot load texture P85_v..." (the ... in this case refers to whatever vehicle I'm trying to use.) This problem only seems to occur with vehicles and not with infantry. I'm not using any other mods besides P85. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Thanks!

  2. Hey Headup, just wanted to drop a quick line and say that this is probably the best campaign I've played in Arma 2. It's incredibly evocative (actually what I wish the Medal of Honor games were more like!) and surprisingly funny. Huge kudos. I can't wait to see what you have coming up next.

Thanks for such a great campaign!

  3. Hi SuperRat,

Things are looking great, loving the huge amount of new units. I noticed a bizarre bug - when I play with the mod installed, it breaks a number of vehicle animations for vehicles from other mods. Specifically it causes the units to appear standing up inside the vehicle. In the F-16, Mirage from Operation Frenchpoint and a few other units the player's arms and legs stick out of the vehicle.

Otherwise a really great mod! Looking forward to the next update.

  4. Hey Wiki, just played Welcome to the Suck. What an awesome mission, thanks for making it. However, I ran into one problem (perhaps my own fault):

I can't find the weapons cache after I've found the two jeeps armed with M2s in the hangar.

    Did I miss some hint?

  5. Hey h34dup, I'm really enjoying the mission so far. I've run into a problem - I can't speak to Hazrat Ali. I'm assuming he's the unarmed man, flanked by two armed guards, that's standing at the position labeled (EA) Ali? So far in the mission I've left behind the operators at OP Cobra A, and I'm not running any mods besides those that are required and JSRS, Blastcore, and a mod that changes the field of view.

  6. Mensur described the problem very well. Here are the specific units that this issue is occurring with:

    D-44-ABIH

    M-101

    M46_130mm(BIH)

    D30J(BIH)

    Sprut2A45M(BIH)

    D20ABIH(NORA)

    ZIS3-76mm

    D20VRS(NORA)

    ZIS3_VRS-76mm

    D-44-vrs

    M-101_VRS

    M46(VRS)

    D30J(HVO)

    Sprut2A45M(HVO)

    M-101_HVO

    M46(HVO)

    D20HVO(NORA)

    ZIS_HVO-76mm

Let me say once again that I think this is an awesome mod and I'm looking forward to more! :)

  7. Hi SuperRat,

The mod looks great, I had a ton of fun playing around with a bunch of the units. Unfortunately some of the problems that I noticed from the first release still persist - for instance, when using the mod I can no longer play as a gunner on some BIS units (for instance, on the offroad with mounted PK in the OPFOR insurgent faction). When I try to play as a gunner on these vehicles the screen becomes locked in place - I can't move the turret or pan the camera around.

I also noticed that all of the fixed artillery pieces in the mod could not be turned or fired. I will try to post a complete list of units that are not functioning properly when I'm at my computer again.

  8. Hey, just wanted to let you know that the mod causes some units (both BIS units and units from the mod) to cease working properly - for instance, I can't play as the gunner on BIS guerrilla offroads armed with DShK's or SPG-9's (I can't turn or fire the weapons). Similarly, some units in the mod (such as artillery pieces) suffer from the same problem. Otherwise, this is a really great-looking mod and I can't wait to see all of the units in action! Keep up the good work!

  9. Hey Lightspeed, amazing campaign. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to replace Mission 3 in the SP Campaign with the updated .pbo file. I've read that I'm supposed to just put it in the same folder as the campaign (i.e. in the Operation Arrowhead/Campaigns folder), but this doesn't fix the problem. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hey, just wanted to let anyone who has the same problem that I figured out a workaround solution.

    1. Go to Armaholic and download PBO View.

    2. Open PBO View and then use the Unpack button to find and open the Island Thunder campaign .pbo (should be in your Operation Arrowhead/Campaigns folder).

    3. In the new folder you've created (which contains the contents of the the Island Thunder campaign .pbo, navigate to the third mission, and then to scripts. One of the scripts, powsecure, is actually a .txt file. Change the file type to .sqf (don't change the name of the file).

    4. Remove the original Island Thunder campaign .pbo from your Campaigns folder (move it to desktop, just to be safe).

    4. Open PBO View again, and click the Pack button, select the folder you created using the Unpack button, and then click OK. This will create a new .pbo which has the same name as the original Island Thunder campaign .pbo. This should have been created in the Campaigns folder, but if it's not, put it there.

    5. You should be able to rescue the pilots now!

    Hope this helps.
